he can hear!!
Yay! Brayden passed his hearing test!!! it was taken back on the 2nd and I've forgotten to post. He only failed on his left side, they told me the first time he failed that it happens alot with c-section babies cause alot of the fluid doesn't come out and they'll test him another time and he'll probably pass...well they test him and tell me he failed again and they referr me to a hearing specialist I was nervous thinking he was going to be partially deaf but when we got to the specialist he passed! I had to take a picture of him being tested, mainly so when he's older and taking after his sister(by ignoring us ) I can tell him I know for a fact he can hear :) I was thinking the whole procedure was going to be some form of torture for him but it really wasn't it just kinda looks like it. He slept the entire time (about 45 minutes) and only cried when he pulled the sensor thing off behind his ear then fell right back asleep again.
I also finally got a picture of Brayden sucking his thumb, I got it last night while he was going to sleep, I took it with my camera phone and the flash is really bright so he's squinting, but I think it's cute :)

Yay for passing his hearing test! I'm so glad, especially given the problems we've had in our family (mainly with me, but Vinnie a little too).
Does he suck his thumb a lot, or just once in a while?
Tanya He is such a cuttie! Chloe looks like she is going to be a WONDERFUL big sister. I know what you mean about the hearing test. Caden had the same exact results when he was born too! I'm glad his hearing is ok, but it makes you alittle nervous when they say the test is negative!!
Tegan just found her little thumb! It is so cute!
Oh my heck, he is so sweet! I am so relived to hear that he passed with flying colors! we have been watching Finley really close with her hearing and eye site. They are affraid from having so little oxygen for such a long time, that she might develop something in the long run but she is also passing everything with flying colors, she is our little fighter!
Love the picture sucking his thumb, too cute!
Parker failed his first hearing test on his left ear, too. But he passed the second. I didn't know that about c-section babies. Just like last night we were watching some ER re-run and this one doctor was trying to talk a woman into a c-section (for good cause... she didn't, and the baby suffered a lot of neurological damage, but anyway...) and another doctor says, "You need to be aware of the risks" and starts naming off all this stuff "Paralysis..." and I said to Ches, "Did anyone ever tell us any of those risks? After three c-sections, I didn't know about some of those!!" and this is a really long sentence. Sorry.
So, uh... Brayden is super super cute!! I can't wait to meet him!!
good news on passing the hearing test.. that is exciting!!! and he couldn't be more cute tanya!! i love him sucking his thumb
Wow--worried about his hearing, and you guys didn't even tell me! This DOES NOT fall under the Ten Year Rule. This is the sort of thing Grandmas have a right to worry about! I also didn't know that there was any association with C-Sections--but, of course, I never had one.
So glad Brayden's hearing is fine.
