Anytime Anywhere
I got to use my new cork panels today. They come in Tan, Teal, Red, Green and they are from one of my favorite companies- DCWV. They are called Cork Solids Mat Stack. It's even my first time with sequins (I think). I've been glittering over my sentiments lately, I'm sure it's "just a phase".

Watermelon Seed Packet Shaker Card
I think I'm almost back to feeling comfortable making cards. Silly...but I had stopped for two years and have only been back in for a while. I stopped because my cards were not making me happy. All the lace and embellishments, pearls and ribbons weren't me. But two years ago it was all the rage. I came back in February to look at the old places I used to play and noticed that the simpler cards were coming into vogue.
I love CAS cards. I feel good after making one now. And I'm not embarrassed to tell people "I make cards".
For this card I went back to an old idea I'd made in the past- a seed packet shaker. I'm playing at CAS-ology, and their cue card is "Wet".

Bunny Hug
Bunny Hugs! I saw this lovely vintage illustration and thought it would look great over a fancy circle opening. I'm working with circles and sewing this time. I printed the image and added "Hugs" then I "overcolored" the image with colored pencils. The pencils helped bring out the shadows and brightened it up. It's cut out and applied with puff stickers.
The little circles are sewn on and folded for movement and shadow. My scalloped circle is from Spellbinders (lacey circles). The background is embossed with Cuttlebug polka dots. Edge rounder punch on four corners. My paper is White Granite from Fox River (commercial stock). And a little pink bow from S.A.S. Fabrics and is ten years old.

Ren and Stimpy Happy Joy Card
STILL MAKING CARDS...... I've been cranking them out these last couple days. This one was inspired by Iwona Palamountain (Chupa). She owns CASE Study and runs a little Sketchbook Saturday Challenge too.
Cherish your Childhood
Greetings Happy People! While traveling through "The Graphics Fairy", I saw an image which reminded me not only of childhood, but a card challenge at "Less is More". It's a tricycle, which has three wheels and the challenge is based on "Three".
I've got...3 wheels, 3 paper ribbons, 3 pearls and the string is wrapped 3 times. I loved working with the kraft cardstock...gotta do this again!

Teeny Tiny Card
I was digging through my stamps today and found this little one from a couple years ago. I think it's one of those 99 cent stamps offered in bins at Micheals. I've been practicing making "clean" cards lately. I can't go completely CAS as I still enjoy sewing panels on my cards, but this one is definitely clean and simple.

A Happy Card
I saw a cool CAS case card today at MUSE and their card challenge # 59. The card artist I am casing is Marion Vagg. I've seen her cards on other blogs as well. Take a moment to check out her work, it's very nice.
I am starting a CAS & nearly clean card challenge on May 5th called AAA Cards (triple A). I've registered with Paper Playful and I'm looking for some CAS card makers for a design team. Please visit the new site and see what and how the challenge will work.

Bingo!
Just last night I saw antique Bingo cards while internet surfing, and this morning (doing the same thing) I found a couple of vintage tickets too. I thought I would make another card. You may not know this, but I'm out of card making practice. And the thrill is starting to come back to me!

Case Study Card Challege 178
Ahhh, a card challenge. I've always loved "Case Study" and the designers are fabulous. I'm also kinda late to this weeks game. I really enjoyed the CASE card by Danielle Flanders Ombre hot pinks and orange and yellow.

Thank You cards in Pink, Blue & Yellow
I am so very THANKFUL! So thankful I needed to make "Thank You" cards!
My husband went through chemo and radiation treatments. He had an esophagectomy and has been told that the cancer is gone. He's home convalescing with me and is doing GREAT! What an incredible man! Praise the Lord! Thank you to everyone who gave prayer and sent love.
I had been too shaken up to even think about crafting, but he's doing well and I decided I would have some fun. Simple and clean, these cards are designed to go for the ride that is the US Mail.

Vintage Halloween Cards Poster
Paper arts is my thing! I tried to do some fabric quilting, but gave it up to quilt on my computer instead. I found LOTS of great Halloween background while looking through fabric sites. All kinds of fabric prints, and I saved plenty! I created a whole file on fabric swatches to use as printed paper projects. As a card maker this is a great thing to file away.
16 x 20 is too big for a home printer, so I really did have to "quilt" this together. The inner background is from 6 print outs, cut, sized and glued. The outside border was multi printed and pieced together. I located vintage party decoration heads for the 4 corners. And I know you recognize vintage Halloween postcards.
That's what got me going on this poster. I really wanted to use and show vintage cards. The poster could certainly be made without the use of a graphic file....but for me that's not where the fun is!
I hope you are having fun this Fall season! Thanks for dropping by,
this is post number 2 in my Halloween series on 4 crafts.
