Compline (night prayer) - Saturday, 6 June 2020

Today we said goodbye to one of life's lovely people, may he, and all who have died this day rest in peace and rise in Glory.

As we prayed for those who remain we also prayed for the needs of the world, those in it (known and unknown) and for ourselves and all that they day has held.

Then, job done, we head for bed in readiness for a new day of blessing, joy, sorrow and challenge.

Compline (Not a milky drink!)

So in this service we close the days transactions and with completion of the day we head for bed trusting God to be God (as only He knows how).

Christ is risen, ascended, and the Holy Spirit has come - Hallelujah!

Compline (night prayer) - Sunday, 17 May 2020

The close of day brings us before God to reflect, prayer and thanking Him for the day now past, to resolve to be different in the places where we fell short.

This done, we take everything of the day and hand it over to God's safe keeping and retire to bed and sleep. Cheaper than a shrink and kinder than our critics :-)
