hello, you should try www.picasa.com for posting pictures.
The profile part is funny. I was starting to wonder why nobody asked about it. ^_^
You can use HTML in the "about me" part of your profile, this will then show on al of your blogs (after you republish the blog)
If you add a bit of css to the blog, something like:

then you can use big images to.
