pretty week

aunt and my cute cousin came to visit us in vancouver this week. last time i saw cous was like right after sa bout 3 years back when she was less than 10. shes in 6th grade right now in cali and came over during her summer vacation. her accent is totally bitching for her age lol. so uberhyperactive. aunt is still as cool and urbane as ever. i miss talking to her.yeah and shes got her own private company now. had us a nice dinner and then we sat by the new fireplace and i listened to them bs hahaha.. oh yeah dad is here too.. hes staying here shortly gotta go back next mth for his stuffs..

audition..

had my drums audition and written theory exam for the uni transfer this morning.. and i

P A S S E D ~ ^^

think my buzz roll improved quite abit through preparing for the snare rudiment piece.

i felt i did 10 times better than any exams in sa before

the guys who auditioned me said i could apply for scholarship hell yeah.

M.I. audition next? lol maybe not yet.

such a test for ur triplets and breaks haa.. tasty groovy shuffles. i really like how he groups the triplets in 2s and 4s to syncopate in those fills... enjoy!

some kit pics..

got my 5 piece kit not long ago and yesterday the extra ordered tom and kick arrived, much later than scheduled. oh well thankfully no cracks no scratches safe and sound thats good enough. heard loadsa stories about cracked drums during shipping. chek them out..

some specs: tama starclassic 7 piece performer in amber gold 8"x7" 10"x8" 12"x9" 14"x11" 22"x18"x2. iron cobras, road pro, LP black beauty cowbell and the legendary moongel haha.

all zildjians for 4 piece setup.(ive quit sabian lol) 14" k regular hats, 8" and 10" k custom dark splash, 14" k custom dark crash, 16" k custom session crash, 21" k custom special dry ride.

gonna stay with 4 piece setup now though. suits me really well now for what i do in school.

double kick maybe in future back in sg.
