Hi all, First of all please keep praying for Madaleine in Ireland, she is involved in some volunteer mission outreach work in Dublin where the church she is attending is packed to standing room only and groups are meeting in Hotels to worship, they are building a larger kitchen so they can run soup kitchens for the many homeless people of Dublin and many other outreach programs on the go...if you are interested or would like to donate please press the donation button here

or on the top right side bar and write Ireland in the description all money raised will go straight to helping the needs in Ireland so in advance thank you. I love this pic of Mad doing outreach on Dublin city streets in Ireland... God works in the most amazing ways! if only we are open and willing.

Still having some video problems... I think its with the hard drive but well give this a go....
Here is my Lucky 4 leaf clover st Patrick's day card, I don't normally make many st pats day cards but this is in honor of Madaleine being in Ireland this year. I loved how these little leaves came out so real looking and really easy to make! You will need a 4 petaled flower punch or die any will do (Martha Stuart has a nice punch), mine is a sizzix brand die. Green card, scissors, emboss tools, soft mat, green ink pad and a white Crayola pencil.

Cut out your 4 your leaf petal flowers and with your scissors cut small v shapes a little deeper into the center. With my die shape this step helped them look a little more realistic but depending on what you have you may not need to do this step. Sponge all the edges with a darker colour of green. I love using my cheap regular Crayola pencil!! it can do so many things....make an arch shape zig zags on each leaf. Then use your emboss tool and pad to shape them up.... also give the ends of each leaf a little pinch in.

Lastly cut some thin strips for card as grass.... here you can choose to add some ink to a few strips to give the grass depth, glue onto your card (I lightly sponged a green background first which also helped give the card depth along with layering up my card front), add a few dew drops with crystal effects and your done!

Here are a few st Pats day decorations I made this year... and had a little play with paint shop pro.

A little lucky 4 leaf clover pot plant I crocheted. I am selling my Crochet Amigurumi locally and all money raised goes to Ireland.

You can see more of my Crochet Amigurumi and some of the other things Ive been making lately here on Pinterest
So sit back now and enjoy my video tutorial... enjoy!

Hi all, I'm definitely being tested here everything I seem to do for my blog just either dose not go smoothly or just doesn't work at all I'm so frustrated but I was determined to not let this beat me and  to get this post to you for valentines day even if its just the day before! anyway you could use this card for any other special time not just valentines day!   ....so this idea is not mine I first seem it on pinterest.... but here is the direct link http://craftingconfessions.blogspot.com.au/2014/02/i-only-have-eyes-for-you.html
I loved the simplicity of it and the glasses reminded me of mine so here is my valentines card to Dave.

Quick and easy using an old QuicKutz die I had called glasses and a couple of tiny heart punch outs. The words were printed from my computer, but make sure you have the writing on the right hand side of your page and do a test run before you waste your good card stock to see if its in the correct place....and you're done! you could also add a little glitter to the hearts! Certainly a fun little card.
enjoy and many lovely blessing to you all for Valentines day xx
Blessings to you

I want to wish my husband a happy 46th Birthday xx  seen as he is enjoying his GoPro so much what else was there to make but a GoPro card. We love you loads and hope you have a great day and year xoxoxoox.
To make this I used a card base of  5 and 1/2 x 4 and 1/2" or 14 x 11 cm folded. GoPro screen 1and 1/2 x 2" or 4 x 5 cm. The circles I used measured.... 3 and 1/4", 2 and 1/2", 1 and 3/4", 1 and 1/4" and a 1/2".
This is the GoPro without the outer case on which was a little easier to replicate. If you don't like the hand writing look do all your pieces on the printer, I was going for the home made look here so my hand writing was ok for what I needed. Its not the most perfect thing but I hope this might inspire you to make some of your own cards that suit the hobbies the guys in your life love. Thanks to those who have checked out Dave's YouTube Channel.... if you haven't and would like to go to this link or press on the pic.... please subscribe Dave would love that!  :-) PS sorry for the bad camera angles etc... I still don't have it all set up yet in my new craft space.

Hi all, wow what an emotional ride this year has been!!  First off I would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all your donations sent to one mission Brazil for Ben. He was overwhelmed by your generosity and was asked by his organizers how he raised the money so quick.... his responce was all mums great blog follows! also thank you to our local friends who also gave very generously xx he ended up with almost $300 over his $900 goal so thankyou!!
Well our youngest daughter Madaleine finished her last yr 12 exam and had their High school formal earlier this week. Her future plans are all coming together now which as parents is so exciting to see! Our time with family was such a cherished blessing together. I made a card like her dress which has been my little tradition for all our kids and is a twist on the corner folding I have done in the past so I hope you will enjoy my video tutorial below. By the way Madaleine made this dress with the sari fabric her sister bought back from India for her, I think she did a top job! I crochet her hair piece and it all came together really nicely. Ben leaves for Brazil in a week and next is Beth's Uni graduation! .... here are a few snap shots of the Madaleine's big night ...... enjoy!
Blessings to you

Hi all, Thank you to those who have donated to the Brazil One Mission for our son Ben, the total is now at $350 given with only $550 needed to reach his $900 goal! please keep them coming. Please click here for donations https://give.everydayhero.com/au/benjamin-3. In the midst of all this both Beth & Ben are very busy finishing assignments for the end of year and Madaleine is in the middle of her yr 12 HSC exams. Also prayers are needed for the bush fires and families affected in NSW.
Having a play today with some die shapes and sponging and I really liked the effect this gave me..... Using the sizzix bigz die Flower layers #4, some blue ink and a sponge I ended up with a whole flower spray! cool hey! I did hand cut a leaf to put in between but that's easy! Finishing it off with some pearls, glittered centers and a stamp saying. enjoy the video! xx

Hi, all..... a quick card I threw together this afternoon I'm calling "moon dust" I don't normally make Halloween cards but as I had a request I though this could double for Halloween and maybe an engagement card just change up what you put in the tree! Made with a variety of colored inks, dies from lifestyle crafts called Branches and Birds and using a 1 and 3/4" circle for the moon cut out. A little doodling with a black sharpie for the leaves and some glitter for the moon dust! Sit back and enjoy the video :)
Oh and thanks Lori for the cute card I received in the mail today !

Blessings to you

Doodle punch art Birthday and a Happy Mothers day

Open in Mobile App Hi all, Ive been having some fun with what I'm calling Doodle punch art.... a combination of flat punch art using designer papers and free hand doodle drawing. I usually have everyone freaking out wondering how to post my huge 3 dimensional cards that stick out to billio but this one is totally flat ... LOL. I made this card for our youngest daughters 18th Birthday..... I know it looks like a boys card but who cares that's what she wanted ;)
For these doodle cards I love to use a natural coloured background. For the punched pieces I chose scraps of designer papers in the colours I needed. Punches/dies used were a 3 and 1/2" circle from one of my nestebility dies for the large moon, two different size star punches, the small tag punch with a little trimming for the rocket body, 3 large hearts from the heart to heart punch for the rocket fins (two cut in half), a 1/2" circle for the port hole and the second largest petal from the blossom petals punch for the rocket flames (trimmed). Punches used were mostly from stampin up.Then I use a fine tip sharpie marker and go to town with your own doodling..... basically edging your punched pieces and then adding in a few little hand doodled stars, dots, moon craters and a little message. This is what will personalize your card. I also did some bunting doodling on the inside to tie it all in using the points of a star punch as the flags.

I found for me this was really fun to do. We also had fun making some buntings and other decorations for her star grazing party. It rained all that morning but praise God the heavens opened up the stars came out just in time to put up the decorations and get the party started! We were overwhelmed at the love and care of Madaleine's friends especially her new friends from our new church, such a breath of fresh air to be around loving caring and encouraging people, just what we need ! It was a great night and weekend together enjoying Mothers day at the same time!

I hope you enjoy this technique and give it a go!
Blessings to you

A star grazing party

Open in Mobile App
Hi all, the youngest of our children ( Madaleine) is turning 18  in a couple of weeks ! ...... where dose time go. Raising our children has been a great journey for us and we couldn't be more prouder parents!
we wanted to do some quick simple invites to her star grazing party.... it had to have stars glitter and a bit of fun..... I thinks we covered all three requirements ;)
I used A4 sheets of card stock and cut them into 4 to make small size cards. rolled a star background, punched a heap of label punch outs inked the edges and stamped my message. More punch outs with stars attached to the label with a foam dot and lots of glitter, To make this an efficient proses when doing anything in bulk do each step on everything then move to the next step, believe me it is quicker! so Ive covered the stars, glitter and now for the fun bit. Each star label is on a home made action wobble....

I used some wire form the cheap shops, not sure what the gauge is and two 3/4" circle punch outs. Wrap a length of wire around a pencil giving yourself at least 3-4 full turns to create a spring. Hot glue each end to two circle punch outs and that's all there is to it.... I then added it to the back of each of the labels then onto the card front. Keep in mind the thinner the gauge wire the more it will wobble.... mine was a little stiff. While you've got all the gear out make a heap and stash then away for quick creating on the next project.

Our cheeky young lady! LOL ..... I hope you have enjoyed this, sit back and watch the video.
Blessings to you
