And so once i start blogging all over, i get the hang of it and does it routinely. If i lose touch and i disappear for very long. hurhur.
Either that or im too occupied at work and at home so no time to update! =p
Anyways yeaterday i took my xmas off and spent a day with darlins. That foreign buddy kept bugging me to take leave and i got none. Lucky there an xmas off. muhahaha! Intended to go for buffet and shopping thereafter but we ended up eating and eating and eatingg....
So pei, hui, li and me went to try out the kiseki japanese buffet restaurant. I think pei heard some raves about it so wanted to try. There was a crowd before it opened. But when we start on the food, disappointing!!!! The food are too salty and un-yummy =.=! The one and only dish that is nice are the clams. Seriously never ate such a lousy buffet before. Boohoooo!
After eating, we roamed around orchard before splitting ways.

And so this is the closing post for year 2010.
February
Subesequent to grandpa's demise, the whole family from my maternal side planned a trip to Batam for CNY. It was really nice to have everyone together when it can be hard to arrange our schedules.

The first baby in our darlins group was born, Zhe Tian. He bought much laughter and happenings to our group gatherings. Maybe he grow healthily as a cheerful baby!
I got my first merit increment after being in service for one year. Increment amount was significant but got me happy enough to have a smile plastered on my face the whole day.
Last highlight, i got my iphone!
June

July
This month was the time whereby bf left for tamworth for a supposedly 2 months traning. It was not an easy time for us. But good and bad since he came back way before the designated date.
And and and i didnt eyelash extension for the first time. A beautiful enhancement and yet can be torturous during facial and bathing time.!
August
My first trip overseas with bf to HK! Much hoo-haa was created at home but im glad i went for it. Both of us pretty much enjoyed every day there =D

Went to my first Halloween Safari. Big group of my cousin, auntie, mum, friends and sis' friends. Bet everyone had a hell load of scary times together. Haa!

Xiao gu and family finally came to sg to visit us. After saying so for a decade till no one believe her words. Nevertheless we spent a great full week with them =)
That pretty much sums up my 2010. Prolly i didnt blog enough throughout the year, thats why i cant recall much when i went back to read the entries. Anyways, hope everyone had a good 2010 and a wonderful 2011 to come!

So did everyone have a snowy and heartwarming xmas?
On the eve, it was a half working day and everyone is in a cheery mood. The office was rather crowded considering it was year end. I guess mainly because we need to take a full day leave even though it is only a half working day. hur hur. Anyway it was more of a sitting around and pass time kind of day.
I went around giving chocolates for my colleagues. It is nice seeing them smile (be it fake or real) and saying thank you. It's a joyous event afterall~~
After work, i intended to go to orchard to squeeze in the sales. Nice bf offered to tag along but i said no. It's gonnna be frustrating for him to wait around n stand around in shops and fitting room queues are gonna be crazy. Gwen tagged along in the end cos she wanted to get something. We each managed to get some cheap deals.
Head to bf's place and slacked for a while before rushing to plaza to get some gifts for his family. I suggested chicken essence and he suggested hashima. We got the latter, then head back to my hse to wrap them up! I guess bf had some fun learning to do gift wrapping. Haaa!!
HEaded to his grandma place for the xmas gathering together with brandon and shaokai. To my disappointment, no turkey! I have not tasted a turkey before!! His uncle said it's sold out. Better luck next year =( we mj-ed till 3+ in the mrng and had koka noodles for supper. Then shaokai suggested to go prawning. Oh god. The guys can be quite persistent. I went along and regretted ttm! Only managed to reach home at 9+am.
So i practically slept through my xmas cos i didnt sleep at all for the previous 29 hours or so. Kind of pathetic!
Boxing day was filled with a few rounds of mj-ing and teevee.
Im so looking forward to spending the NYE with my darlins this friday!!!!!!!!!!!

Been away for blogging for so long. Nothing much to update as well. Cos fb and twitter is basically the much more convenient n direct way to update now =S
Anyways, today is the lunar date for my grandpa's first death anniversary. Mummy once said time really flies. I agree with her cos everything seems so fresh in my mind even as i recalled now. My heart had been feeling so heavy since this morning. I very much wanted to go and pay my respects with my aunties and cousins. Zero leave left. That left me sitting here typing this post away.
Hmmm. Come to think of it. How can i ever rejoice when the clock struck 12am in the years to come on 31 dec? ** Well, remembering the calendar date is much easier for me than the lunar date**
No, i guess i wont be one of those cheering away when the clock struck midnight (at least not this year). It was at 2355 hrs one yr ago. Everyone was counting down. Not us.

Laziness laziness lazinesss... The reason why this place is rotting =p
Bf is in tamworth for the 12th day today. All thanks to the advanced technology now, so we are able to contact through various channels without having to rely on the phonecard and of cos the costs involved. Anyways he's gonna be back real soon ^^
School is hectic hectic hectic. This semester is a killer! Every module has got projects which sucks to the core. And having to work with new people is also a challenge! I really hope i can get through semester.
As for work, the mid year appraisal was just over last week. Good and bad comments? Ive been praised for having being able to prove myself technically. That is, picking up excel skills on my own and applying it to my work. Of cos the few courses ive attended are of great help indeed. So yeahh to this. Bad thing is that i need to work harder on my soft skills. Drafting of emails had been a challenge for me all along. Whenever im given this kind of task, i find myself stuck and referring to past emails ive received. The comments given were that i am clear about what i need to convey but not formal enough. Yes i need to work on that.! And i need to be more vocal in meetings. hurhur. Actually i do not really need to attend meetings for my level of designation because im still considered a non-exec. But my bosses have given me enough chances to let me be more exposed. Gonna work harder now!!

Move on to happier stuff! Yesterday i was on birthday leave so i spent the whole day with my foreign buddy who calls me childish, dont want to friend me, selfish, evil and so on. (she's so gonna kill me for this =S) We were supposed to do some shopping and filling our tummies with good food, but we ended up doing the latter more than anything else =.=
Our first stop was to wild honey for a late breakfast. Anyway this place serves breakfast all day long which is awesomeee. Been wanting to go there for ages and i finally made it! It was yummy and the ambience is great! I definitely want to go back again!!
Then we went to the various malls along the orchard road. Managed to find Iggi's place back in Heeren. It was nice of him to remember me after not meeting for like 2 years or so, and by my name. Well, and he mentioned about that someone, which i thought he wouldnt. Or is he trying to test me to see if i know? hurhur!! Oh well, i think my reply was cool enough =p
HEaded to far east plaza with the plan to do eyelash extension. Been tempted by my dearest sister. Hurhur.! Saw edmund chen, xiang yun and their daughter there. Edmund look damn young la. For some reason, he winked at me. Oh god. Wanted to melt at that moment. HAHA. But buddy from foreign land says that he wanted to wink at her but she wasnt looking in his direction! lols. Anyway gave up the idea of doing after the person told me it's gonna drop off after 2 weeks or so.. haiss. but im still thinking over it =p
Then off to Haji Lane. My virgin trip there actually. And i like it =D Though i didnt get anything!
Met the rest of the girls and zz at jurong point for dinner @ pu tien. And of cos zz was the centre of attention most of the time. Haha.! Such an angel he is =DD

It's a cool Sunday morning! And i cant sleep in. Dont know why =(
Last night was a happening night! Gulshan was back from vancouver after 2 months plus, so few of us gathered and head to supperclub. It's been a number of months since i club and it's great.!!! I'm not the type who wants to go every week but i enjoy it whenever there's a chance. Maybe also becos my group of friends are not so enthu, so usually i tagged along with sis and boyf's gang!
Went for the Ipman Legend movie in the evening. Foursome! I think we jus cant get over Ipman. The second part was out not long ago, and now the legend. After movie, dinner @ Xin Wang HK Cafe. Then we head over to bras basah complex to meet up with the rest.!
Head into supperclub at about ten plus and it was relatively empty. We got ourselves some good seats. But sis and me were wearing tight skirts, me with high heels somemore, so we had much difficulty getting onto the sofa seats (or rather bed). Totally =.= But as the night goes on, its not so bad cos the place is relatively dark already.
We killed time by taking photos and playing cai quan while the crowd moves in. I played with Gulshan and kena 'da' 2 times (becos i lost consecutively three times) -.- And when i make him 'da', his cup only left a few sips.! Damn! Anyway, I was feeling giddy thereafter. Kept wanting to pee and cant walk properly -.- not drunk though. Then we danced, drank, laze around till about 2 plus before foursome left the place first, cos sis got to work tdy.
The songs were great and the place is crowded enough. Not over crowded. So it's great! But the sofa/bed seats can be a plus or minus point. It can be a great sleep inducing place cos it's v spacious! So for those who jus want to enjoy the drinks and laze arnd, good place.! Those who want to dance can dance! Too many stairs btw -.- And the toilet is kind of inappropriate? The gents and ladies share the same washing area which means either gender can wander into the cubicles of the other gender. Ah hem~

I was at Taka with Gwen jus this afternoon during the lunch hour. We intend to go wallet sight seeing since she is planning to get one. Her hopes were dashed when the actual product was not similar to that on the websites.
Anyway thats not my point. We went to MOS hoping to have a quick lunch for the remaining half hour. I waited in line for quite a while although there were only 2 people in line.
It was my turn and i realised it was an old uncle behind the counter, probably 60+ years. As usual, i had my order taken. He put the appropriate ticks in the forms then proceed to key into the system. Then he double checked the system to ensure the correct data keyed in. And then he went on to prepare my drinks and soup.
While he was preparing, i glanced to the other counters and realised that behind the other two counters were also senior workers. It kinds warmed my heart. It is nice to see senior citizens being employed.
Yes, i agree that they cant be faster than the younger ones. But seriously, i dont mind waiting.
More employers should do that.
I got back into office 15 mins late. But it's fine =)

Zhe Tian turned one month old yesterday! It was my first time seeing the baby after sooooo long~
Anyway a few of us gathered at Km's house to look and carry and play with the little angel. There was yummy food, loads of pressies for the baby etc etc.
I really sucked at carrying when i looked at the pic in fb! LOLs. Although he was sleeping, i feel uncomfy looking at the pic =.=
Anyway my point was he was so so so cuteee!! He keeps appearing in my mind.. LOL
p/s: i know my blog had been lacking of pictures lately. But here's one. aint he cute?!?!
Oh, and i realised there wasnt any red eggs =(

The past weekend had been filled with crazy mahjonging such that im getting a lil sick. 3 consecutive days is too much but every weekend is fine. But lady luck is on my side after losing like shit for 3 weeks. But boyf is super down on luck. Losing 200+ over 3 nights. Thats unbelievable~
Had tim sum buffets with the guys as well, the usual mj khakis. Boyf always say that i should not be selfish. He only spend time with his friends every weekend. So to spend time with him, i tagged along =S I dunno if it is good or bad. Mahjong become a must activity.
Well well, back to the tim sum buffet. We stuffed ourselves with the timsum and then back to the table excercising our hands! LOL. Food was average. We cant expect much when it is a buffet. Service wise was bad bad and very bad. The place was rather crowded by noon time, prob due to limited restaurants in sg offering buffet style for tim sum? Service crew was not very friendly, serving of food gets slower and slower as the time passes by -.-
Usual tim sum items are not too bad. Brandon was praising the pumpkin soup of the day such that he had 2 servings. The rest of us didnt have any. The fried rice and noodle was dry dry dry! Porridge a lil bland but no soya sauce was provided, and didnt bother to get any.
Deneng ordered a plate of vege, saying that we must have a balanced diet. The vege came shiny and wet. Because of the oil. We were all laughing at him trying to promote a balanced diet. He ended up soaking the vege in the chinese tea to get rid of the oil, but only managed to finish half the vege. Haa!
I can say that eating with the guys are much more enjoyable. Haa! Cos I jus take one piece of each kind and the rest will disappear before u know it. Compared with girls, somtimes we push the food around and yet want to order more! LOL.

Taking a break from work and stealing time to blog blog blog =DD
Today is tuesday only. Oh man, i wonder how long this kind of life gonna continue. Having to drag myself out of bed, coming to work and counting down to lunch time. Breaking the skull to think of what to eat or where to go for lunch. After lunch, counting down to knock off begins. Then back home/tuition/ school.
Life had been pretty much more relaxed cos of school holidays. So i can indulge myself in shopping, movie,jigsaw-ing and mahjonging over the weekends!
Last month, i attended Calvin's 21st @ mind cafe. It was also a poly gathering for most of us cos we seldom meet up after grad. Like flor working her ass off everyday, be it weekdays or weekends. The guys having irregular free time due to their army life. Except me and Karen. Haa!! Well, food was great that day. Company was great too. The cake was fantastic!! With a swarovski figurine on top. First of its kind man!
Another highlight of May was going to the Haute Avenue sales with ah xiang, sis and shaoo. We reached there 30 mins earlier and yet there were already 40-50 people in line. My first time attending such sales and indeed an experience. Grabbing whatever design that caught my eye before looking at the price! Thats what sis told me before i enter the room. Ah xiang and bf were busy stalking the other shoppers for the already-not-available-designs. Many people jus grab and decide later whether to purchase or not. And many pretty designs were grabbed by people earlier than us. So, if they let go, we could grab it! Another method was to approach the girl and asked if she really wants the bag or merely considering.
Sis and me got a Kate Spade each. Loves loves loves. Well, if time can turn back, i may not even make my purchase!! I've been grumbling to boyf about the amount of money i spent.! haa!! But still, i dont regret buying la~!
About today's happening! I was asked to sit in a meeting for my boss. Damn!! I was worried about being arrowed and all cos Finance Dept always makes mistakes with a certain report. Meaning im making the mistake la~ Cos my boss is too busy and does not check hence im left on my own to figure this and that =.= Well, i was so worried i cannot cope if they ask me questions and worse still, the meeting is called by the director of the other department =S
So there i was sitting in a room with the directors, asst directors, engineers, managers etc. My chills were dissolved during the meeting because these people are friendly and nice and patient! Worlds apart from my dept. How i envy the kind of culture they have. The D's relationship with the rest doesnt seem distant and awkward. So i was pretty much at ease and i answered everything that they ask to my best knowledge =D
Thankful for these nice people. And 30 mins to knock off!

Today is tuesday only. Oh man, i wonder how long this kind of life gonna continue. Having to drag myself out of bed, coming to work and counting down to lunch time. Breaking the skull to think of what to eat or where to go for lunch. After lunch, counting down to knock off begins. Then back home/tuition/ school.

My kind friend from Aussie had reminded me that i havent been updating my movements on my blog. =(
Well, the main fact is that im seldom on the cyber space apart from office hours. And i haven switched on my lappy at home for god knows how long.
Oh well, over the past month or so, i got myself an iphone. A wonderful gadget which everyone on the street seems to own. Haha! It was an impromptu decision to get the phone and was made hastily cos my mobile plan was up for recontract. It did burn a minor hole in my pocket after the purchase. No complains about the gadget. Everyone seem to like one game or another. My mum will bug me for 'Spelling Bee' game whenever i get home. Boyfriend hooked to too many games and consistently asking me to download this and that! And sis occasionally only la...... I'm psycho-ing her to get it for long!! Dump the nokia man!!
Next up, i cleared my second semester in school. Well, not officially yet. Cos results aint out.! This sem had been particularly stressful cos ive been skipping lessons like mad!! like 50% or something! Im keeping my fingers crossed cos 3 June is very near!!!
Work wise. Work had been piling up since my one week plus of absence. My desk turned into a warzone because inconsiderate people dump boxes onto my desk. I took days to clear those work!! DAMN! Anyways, something to joy over! I received my firts merit increment letter few days ago. Although amount is rather insignificant, the joy is indescribable =))
Health had not been all good and well. Was down with a serious fever last week. And sucky doctor experience. Well, i never liked going to panel docs.Sis and mum caught some serious flu and cough as well. Im on the way to recovery!!! Wheee~~
1.5 hr to knock off. and to sis' grad.!! Woooo!!
