As a lot of you probably already know - The Art House Co-Op has been doing some really fun free global art projects recently. If you didn't know - you should go check them out. Just this past week I've done two of them...
The Adventure Project: Can you capture an adventure in 30 seconds?
Last Saturday we had a small breakfast party - which was definitely an adventure (our stove even blew up)...but I also shot a little stop motion that afternoon, featuring not only my delightful friends - but also my docile little chicken, Butternut. Art House will be making a channel on YouTube with everyone's adventures.
For the second project:
The 4x6 exchange: A worldwide community art swap
I made a little drawing with pen, sparkly ink, and watercolor pencils. I'm dropping it in the mail today and can't wait to see what I get back!!!
Have a lovely weekend!!! ♥

Best Of
Holy smokes! What a delightful surprise. I just wanted to say thank you to the readers of the Inlander for voting me Best Visual Artist for 2012. I can't even begin to describe how thrilled I am.
'The Best Of' comes with a big themed formal party which (from the photos each year) looks like a hell of a time...The funny thing is - I missed the party! Somehow I never got contacted. This morning I went to wish Karli (design friend and fellow blogger) congratulations on a post she made on Facebook. She got in the top three...and in the photo I saw my own name!
What a great way to find out....and super congratulations Karli! Spokane has so many wonderfully talented visual artists - this is just amazing.

Seven Seconds to Thunder
I'm getting most excited for the opening of my first out of town art exhibit and installation - March 16th at the brand new Moses Lake Museum and Art Center.
We'll be heading over this coming Monday and Tuesday to install the show. I've been such a frantic little bunny getting everything ready - I've not really posted a thing about it here.
So these are some sneak peeks from the last few months, and a couple behind the scenes photos of the shoot I set up for the poster.
Friday, March 16, 5 - 8pm
Seven Seconds to Thunder: An exhibit and installation by Spokane artist Tiffany Patterson. This show celebrates tiny moments; times of stillness amidst fury. Each work offers a glimpse ...into a land of whimsy where large eyed creatures, in a collective instance, are frozen momentarily awaiting thunder. The pieces in bright pastels and crisp black lines are made on wood with acrylic paint and ink. The installation unfurls Tiffany's world complete with pink rocks and rain drops where no matter your age, you shall find delight.
The MAC is located in the Moses Lake Civic Center.
New Hours: Monday - Saturday, 11am - 5pm.
Admission is always Free.

Coloring Love
I've had so much fun doing this coffee bag! It only seemed right to make the design into a Valentines coloring page for you guys. Feel free to download the larger printable version here.
If your in town this Saturday the 11th - stop by the Rocket Market (11am-2pm). Doma is doing a free coffee tasting of the Sea of Love...I'll be hanging out with crayons and coloring pages - as well as some coloring books, zines, and little items for sale just in case.

Sea of Love
It's here!
DOMA asked me to illustrate their 2012 limited addition letterpress Valentines Bag this year. They are a local coffee roaster located in Post Falls, Idaho, and their bags are deliciously letterpressed by my buddy Chris Dreyer over at at Dreyer Press.(You may also this post from my first trip Chris's studio.)
I snuck over while Mr. Dreyer was setting up the press and printing the first color...a rare treat not many get to experience. Chris works out of an old warehouse next to the train tracks. His studio is way down in the basement in what used to be a walk in cooler. A word of warning - Do not let this chaos fool you. Chris Dreyer is a magical creator. Seeing the madness behind this lovely bag might just make you appreciate it a teensy bit more.
The coffee comes in a recycled paper craft bag printed with soy based ink. For the coffee this year they chose an Organic Colombian with strong notes of cherry, sweet tarts and fleur de sel caramel. Smooth
body with a long, clean honeyed finish.
You can pick it up online from DOMA or locally:

Hello
Guess who's back? I try to blog when I can and not worry about it when it becomes too taxing...But then comes the guilt.
I made a pretty little picture because I missed you. ♥
Exciting things are brewing...literally. Coffee! Monday marks the release of my letterpress coffee bag from DOMA. I will post about this next with images and such (in a day or so). Also, I am making beautiful new works for my first out of Spokane solo show and instillation this coming March. I can't wait to give sneak peeks!
Hope you all had lovely Holidays! 2012 seems to be off to a grand start.
