Christmas Loads of Love

From Heidi...
Yes, I'm still here. I was thinking all last week, "I need to post, I need to post..." It's just been a busy week. I was so glad to see Adriel add a few posts (and she's been busy with baby, homeschooling, kids, life!!...you go, Adriel :-) When you have a blog, it's really nice to have two people who can post. Usually when one is busy, the other can take over and vice-versa.

I thought I'd share this card I made for our Christmas card classes at Tumbleweed and at my house. Our Tumbleweed class is over, but we'll be repeating the class at my house on Tuesday, 11/16. Everyone's cards came out so cute. I used the Loads of Love stampset and the Candy Cane Christmas DSP. I love it when I get to use this stampset because it means I get to watercolor. This is one of my favorite stampsets. I love all the little stamp accessories you can add to the truck.

Stampset: Loads of Love
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Real Red, Early Espresso, Whisper White

Fun Technique Class

Earlier this year I came across the Faux Linen technique. The technique results looked very  "Fall'ish" and tucked the idea away to use for our Thanksgiving card class. This card uses the Loads of Love stamp set  along with one of my favorite techniques, watercoloring. We'll be making this card along with the other 2 cards shown in this post at our Stamp-A-Technique class at my house this Tuesday, October 19. We have still have spots open in all three of our time slots (10-Noon/ 1:30-3:30 PM/ 7-9 PM). Let me know if you'd like to join us.

Icy Blue Cracked Glass Christmas

From Heidi...Yesterday I shared with you a card I made using the Cracked Glass Technique. I used the "Medallion" stamped in black as the focal point. I used the Cracked Glass Technique on the card I'm sharing today, only I used the little Christmas tree from "Loads of Love" and stamped off with the 3 Brocade Blue background trees and 1 Night of Navy center tree. The Cracked Glass Technique gave this card an icy, wintry look. (I could go for some of the icy cold right now...it's been very hot here in AZ). I hope you all have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by and taking time to visit us.

Pickup load of watercolor

From Heidi...
I haven't used our Loads of Love pickup for awhile. But with our watercolor class coming up, I thought it would be a great stamp to use with the blender pens. I cased the idea for this layout from SCS and then changed the colors, papers, and embellishments. The SU DS paper is retired and is several years old, but I thought this paper would work well for this card. I used Sage Shadow, Brocade Blue, Night of Navy. Hope you all have a great Saturday!
