Coloring fun

Evening. A few cards that I was working on the last few weeks. Took me awhile to get them colored and created but I finally got it done. This first one is using Pure Prairie I believe it is called. Very simple with the designer paper behind the flowers. Some textured embossing to the base mostly with a blue strip of paper down the left edge. Added sparkle for fun.

Next up is using Vibrant Thanks. These did not turn out like I had envisioned but they will do. Using up some more of the ribbon and pearls that I have in the bags. Textured the base layer on this one and a die cut edge and my sentiment panel.

This next one used a die cut edge and the same ribbon as above but jewels instead of pearls. Sparkles to finish this one off.

This one is with Countryside Bouquet that has such a fresh feeling I thought when I was coloring. Added some soft ribbon to this and my sentiment is popped up on some supper fat dimensionals. I did not realize how high they sat until it was too late. Looks okay I guess.

Then my last one using the same set with green and yellow hue colors. A scalloped edge down the side with some designer paper underneath peaking out. A few enamel dots to the corner and sparkle to call it good.

Hope you are able to get some creative time in or at least enjoy the fall weather that has started. Have a great day!

Flowers more

Two floral cards one with a bunch and a simple single. First one is using Prairie cheer. Fancy spellbinders die cut for the base layer. Added some designer paper with a lace trim along the left edge. That is what happens when you gut the designer paper too short. EEK! Anyways a few brads and sparkles to finish it off.

This one I have to say I had mostly colored up from I can't even tell you how long ago and I just had to finish off the leaves and stems. Embossed the edges with a stitched die since it was such a large card front and added my sentiment. A few sequins accents and sparkles of course. Voila!

Party time cards

Two birthday cards today, very easy peasy using Party Time. Not sure why anytime I photo cards with orange or peach colors it looks brown. So frustrating... anyways this first one I due cut a recipe card shape for the base and stamped the sentiment along the name panel. Added sparkles to the dot that I dry embossed to the base. The designer paper background was the colors I used. Sparkle to the cake and a ribbon bow tied off to the side.

Similar colors using the background paper for the base. Die cut a scallop edge to put across the top of the sentiment panel. A few enamel dots to the edge and sparkles of course to the packages. Voila!

Fish, golf and tools

A few guy cards today and it felt good to color these up. The sentiment on Fly Guy was perfect for my first one. I have some twine along the side with the two brads, but it didn't turn out how I pictured it but the holes were already made. ha! Added sparkle to the water and a simple die cut behind the image.

Dusted off these two oldies but goodies of Grumpy Gus. They make me giggle with his hair alone. Added some die cut tool shapes to this first one. A few enamel dots for accents.

Next one of my favorite of his golfing. Textured a white circle for a background panel. Stamped the sentiment after the pierced border and a few brads. Voila!

Another floral dump

This is the last of the floral cards I created the other day. This is Strong and Beautiful set that is timeless for creations.

This bloom was not turning out like I had planned it to look, but in the end I think it turned out ok. Colored with various Copic markers and a simple layer of designer paper for the base. A few enamel dot accents and some sparkle to the sentiment only for this one.

My second one is more like I had planned in my head using the peach tones based on the designer paper base. Brad accents on this one and my sentiment panel has a few piercings down the edge. Sparkle added to the flower petals. Voila!

Floral dump

A few floral cards today. Having issues getting some creative juices going so I looked back and recreated some older versions that I have done. Started to feel the juices a little again, thank goodness!

This is a sunflower from Heartfelt creations that is colored with various Copic markers. Some faux stitching around the border and rounded the corners on the image panel. A few brads accents and then some suduko gel pen to the petals.

Second sunflower using pink and brown hues on this one. Die cut heart edge along the embossed piece with faux stitching again along the base panel. Some enamel dots with a twine and button corner. Topped off with sparkles.

Another set of Hyancinth and Hellebore set. Wood grain based layer and a fancy die cut layer below the bloom. Some sequins accents and sparkle added to the water and the blooms.

Last is the pretty pink Hellebore with very simple stitched layers and some sequins accents. Of course added sparkle to finish this off. Voila

Daffodils

My mini daffodils came up great this year, I was super happy. I have such a brown thumb and when they actually bloom I am happy. Thought about coloring up these daffodils in the honor of them actually surviving. haha

My first one is rather simple with some swiss dots embossed backing. My thank you sentiment across the bottom and some more brads. Added some sparkle as well.

This one a little more simple with an embossed backing and a small strip of color. The blue flowers did not turn out like I planned so I had to color them in which was frustrating but such is crafting at times. More brads and some sparkle. Voila! Have a great day.

Lavender Camillas

These two cards are using Simply Camilla's which is another all time favorite flower. I know the clear stamp is not longer available but I think that Power Poppy does have the digital versions available. My first card has a spellbinder die across the bottom of the base layer. Added an embossed leaf to the lavender piece. Colored with Copics and added some sparkles and more of the brads as I might as well use them.

This one frustrated me a bit as the green on the leaves didn't color like I wanted, oh well. Die cut tag for the behind panel with ribbon and lace trim wrapped around. More of the flourished pearls and some sparkle. I do like cutting out around the flowers though. My favorite part on this card was popping those up after cutting around the edges. Awwww... Have a great day!

Creating again

Good morning. Been awhile since I posted on the blog or even created much. Life has been exciting and busy, which is positive.  My crafting has taken a back seat but hoping to revive it once again. Over the last few weeks I colored and created the below. Forgive me for not putting links and such. I am just happy to get something posted. :-)

This first one was using Bountiful Blessings. Stamped the sentiment along the side panel and some designer paper down the left side. Sparkles and such was added but hard to see in the picture.

Birthday card using Fly Guy. Man do I need to work on a few things, rusty! ;-)  Simply wrapped some twine around the base layers and sparkle added to the water.

This is using Tiger Lily Xl, still one of my favorite flowers. Top layer is popped up for dimensional. Faux stitched border around the edge. Sparkles of course on the petals.

Several baby cards needed for the coming week. Using several stamps from Crafters Companion. Older die cuts from a company no longer in business. Faux stitching around the edges and some sparkles.

Another this one a boy card. Same info just different colors.

I have to say my favorite baby one that I created using this guy from Whimsy Stamps. He just makes me smile. Added ribbon, some more sparkles and dies.
Well hopefully I won't wait a year to post again. But for now, hope you are doing well and God is being a blessing to you! Have a great day.

Floral birthdays

More birthday cards and now I need to get creating some more that are coming up. I am behind again and hope I get a chance to take photos if I don't get them done too late.
This is using Peony Muse where I masked several of the blooms to create the bunch. I do love this flower. Colored with various Copics and then die cut with a Spellbinders shape. Added some sheer ribbon tied into a bow and the enamel dots near the sentiment. Stickles for sparkle.

This is using XL Chrysanthahum and I probably spelled that wrong but I do like the big bloom. After this was colored I thought to add some texture with an embossing folder. I should of thought that through as it did not turn out like I wanted. But it was colored already and done so I had to finish it off. Added a few buttons with twine combo and sparkles to the petals. Voila!

Birthday's

Evening. Here was a few more birthday cards I needed and got the editing the photo's for you.
This guy is from an old Greeting Farm set I think called My Guy Ian. Oh he is super cute and so fun to color. Finally used one of the new dies I had gotten at Christmas of the balloons. Not sure who the die is from but I like the fun look of the balloons. Colored with various Copic markers and added some sparkle and enamel dots after he was popped up on dimensionals.

These daisies in Big Sexy Blooms are always so fun to color. Not sure I care for the center of these the way I colored them but it was already too late and I needed to get the card completed. Added some scalloped white to the left side and the die cut birthday sentiment to the center. Finished it off with some sparkle and sequins scatter about. Voila!

Strong, beautiful and floral

Evening. Yes two post in the same week, but I have this set to post as I stated earlier this week. Some floral creations that I made.
First up is Azaela's that is one of my favorite stamp sets yet. After the were colored with various markers, I did cut with the stitched rectangles die. Angled the imaged panel over the frame edge from the die on the base. Added a thank you sentiment to the middle that is using a scallop die. Some sparkles and enamel dots to finish it off.

This is using Strong and Beautiful with two similar versions but subtle differences in the design. The one on the right has some suduko gel pen added to the flower pearls and the left has sparkles instead. Both have the twine and sentiment. Voila

That is all I have for creations right now. Hopefully I can get back to created and posting a little more often. Until then have a wonderful day!

Simple Kraft colors and card

A friend's daughter asked me to create a few cards that would be quick and easy for a group of friends. These were two that I showed her that were rather easy with little coloring and some textures. I do like how kraft or white cardstock give you the option of little work as the splash of color sets it off well. This first one is using Alluring Lily if you have the digital image, or Tiger Lily that I have used here. Not using the whole image is a great idea for quick cards also.
Some simple coloring with colored pencils for the petals. Added swiss dots for the textured background and then a die cut scalloped edge. Finish off with my sentiment and some sequins.

My second one using the digital version if you have it Dahlia or in my case the Dahilia XL stamp.  Same thoughts for this one but a different embossed background and color. I added more white colored pencil to the petals on this one and I think was my favorite. She liked both and thought the variety for colors would be good. Either way Voila! :-)

Oldies but goodies

Looks like another hot evening and I plan to be inside. Perfect as that then means I have time to post up two cards I created a few weeks back. This is from a stamp set that is retired but the digital versions are available. The first one is called Peonies and I think one of the best drawings by Marcy. Was looking for a beachy feel with my coloring. The designer paper was the inspiring feel for this called By The Shore. Die cut a fancy bottom and wrapped ribbon with a twine and button combo to the bow.

This is the second one and you can find a digital version called Tulips. This scrap of designer paper from a pack I can't even remember was my color choices for this one. Die cut the base layer to show off the dark lavendar underneath. Wrapped some ribbon and tied a bow. Then some flourished jewels behind the tulips. Voila!

These hot days do make it easier to stay inside and color. Just glad I finally was able to post these up. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
