Fall or Summer? This is still the question

Our weather took a nose dive into the 80's this week and plans to stay in this range. I guess we are into fall now, yea!  ;-)  This weeks Featured Stamper 395 is Kathy aka Rosekathleenr. I choose this Beautiful Juliet card to case. Kept the over all design, colors, a stemmed delicate image and ribbon. Changed the dies, image and moved the ribbon placement.

My stamp is from Sunny Harvest that I stamped on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. I then die cut using Spellbinders ovals, layered onto a garden green layer of another die. Added swiss dots to the burgundy card stock layered onto the garden green Spellbinders shape. Wrapped the ribbon around the base and tied my bow with a few pearls. Voila! Hope you can play along this week!

Sweet thoughts to brighten your day

Happy Friday! I don't know about you but this week went by super fast! We have a longer weekend being Monday is Labor day so woot woot!!!  Okay onto my card today...

Grabbed my Farmers Market and played with the apples again, this time in green. Yumo!  They are stamped on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. Scored around my border and added a few pearls to the front and dimensionals to the back. I have some fun green polka dotted paper for my background with lace trim and a ribbon bow. My sentiment is die cut with a Spellbinders die and I sponged over the die before I removed the card stock then added a pearl. Voila!

Don't forget about  the Peep of the Week Challenge! You may be selected for the Power Poppy Customer Board on Pinterest, as well as being featured on the Power Poppy BlogAND -- at the end of the month ALL the players from ALL the challenges are entered into a random drawing to win a stamp set of their choice. Would you like a chance to win a Power Poppy set? Again this week it’s “anything goes” as long as you use a Power Poppy image. Remember, there are digis available here so you can have something to play with right away.  That’s actually TWO chances to win stamps!

Have a Grape day

I do like this pun of a sentiment! This adorable fat happy mouse is called Grape Dreams and I am not sure he is even available anymore with House Mouse. Sorry if he isn't. I stamped him on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. My sentiment is stamped with black ink on vellum paper and placed over the image. Really softens up the coloring doesn't it? Fun gingham like general paper for a background with a fancy Spellbinders oval shape for the frame. Voila!  This is yet another card for the friend who does not like mice. hee hee  Although I have to say she is getting a kick out of all these mice cards.  :-)  So have yourself a Grape day!

What do I see

School starting! ha ha  Yep school officially started today. Time sure does fly by when you have fun. Excited for the new year and all it has to offer. The boys are in football for the first time and being that I LOVE football it is exciting to see them play. We found out what position they will both be playing. I have one as Quarterback (swoon) and one as Wide Receiver (swoon), needless to say I am in heaven! They came off the practice field for the first time in full pads... ACK!!! I am going to be fighting the girls off with a stick I tell you what! ha ha  Anyways.... I will have a photo of them all geared up here in a few weeks. Until then how about a cute card?

This darling little guy is called Henry with seagull. I have him on white card stock colored with various Copic markers. Die cut in an oval and popped up on dimensonals. A simple card with a Die-Light Nostaglia  with a ribbon panel cut in kraft card stock and a few jewels added to the banners. Voila!
Have a fantastic day!

FS394 Hot flash or just hot?

This weeks Featured Stamper 394 is Coconutmuffn. I choose this Go For the Icing to case. Kept most of the layers (was a sketch so I removed a few), kept similar colors and a bunny. Changed the papers, layers and omitted one of the ribbons.

This happy hopper is called Air head. Adorable right! I have some sparkle added to the fan breeze as he keeps cool. Tied my ribbon off with a button and twine combo. I gave this to a friend as it was in the 100's and super hot at the time. She got a kick out of it. :-)  Hope you can play along this week! Have a great day.

Christmas Renovated card

You might be wondering why is my card late this month? Well we just moved back into the house last week and am catching up on my stamping. This month's Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is all about Renovating Christmas. Take an older card and freshen it up a bit with new colors, papers or design.
I choose this older Christmas card to case. I changed the colors, layout and the design. This adorable guy is called Christmas Henry all wrapped up. Added a fun edge using Die-light Fancy Hearts that laid perfect over the white polka dots. I think I like this in the red's and polka dots.  :-)  If you play along be sure to link up your creations for us all to see. Have a wonderful day!

FS392 Thankful Cones

This weeks Featured Stamper 392 is Katie aka Mattsgirl. I have the pleasure of being friends with miss Katie and it is a true honor to case her. Now to choose what to case is well a bit much as she has so many to love. I choose this Purple Gratitude to case. I kept the over all colors, stitching (although faux) flower and sentiment. I changed the layout, shapes and added pearls.

My With Gratitude stamp is on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. I layered on a spellbinders decorative oval along with my sentiment. I sponged around the die before I removed the sentiment just as Katie did on hers. Some faux stitching around the border and voila!  Have a fabulous week Katie! Hope you all have a great day.

Feeling good all over

Well this is what the card says, me not so sure. Good morning and can anyone tell me where my stamping mojo went? I think it went out with the old carpet and flooring. Sheessh... my attempt at getting back into creating. These blooms are from Dynamic Duo Glads and Gerbers.
I think the yellow scallop edge is what is throwing this off, what do you think? Be nice....  :-)  I did pull out some of my older Spellbinders dies for this one. I found that cleaning out the house was good because I was able to give a lot to good will and found lots of things I forgot I had in the house. ha!   Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Renovation Reveal

Good morning! Finally... After much hard work and sweat we have most of the new house settled back together. Anyone need any boxes? ha ha!   I wanted to get some pictures for you as promised. I tried to take them in the same way as before and if you missed the "old" way check out this post HERE to compare. All the rooms have fresh new carpet or tile, it is like a new home. We are so pleased with the end result I can't even begin to tell you.

The first photo above is standing at the entry way of the front door looking in. We have so much ROOM its awesome. The couch will not stay here but for now we needed it out of the way. New furniture is next on our list, however I am really not sure what I want. Sectionals are getting some cooler designs that I have found but I do like the seperate pieces. Either way we need more of it and we have more room for it. The wall behind the TV is a blank canvas and in the next photo, the wall that used to have the hutch against it is another blank canvas. Exciting to have new walls to decorate

If you walk into the living room a bit you can see into the kitchen and more of the space we have in the living room.  You can walk behind the couch also which I really like.

If you turn around a few steps you can see Ranger and the bay window and stuff stacked in the corner waiting for their new spot. This carpet is so lush and the pile is thick with a memory foam pad underneath. You feel like you are walking on lush thick grass if that makes sense. We LOVE it all, well worth the wait I tell you.

Now walk over to the kitchen area and look back at all this space we have. I plan to put a small high boy it is called under the large tapestry to the right that will hold the movie and decorative stuff.

Turn directly around and here is a close up of the tile and carpet. We went with long rectangle tile squares with a thin grout line. This grout is awesome as it has a sealer already in the mix so you don't have to reseal it every year like some. My MIL is jealous as she has to reseal hers every year and its a pain.

If you look directly up you see another blank wall to decorate. hee hee  I am excited as Hobby Lobby has a sale going on this weekend so I plan to find something to fill these spaces. Look how much bigger the kitchen seems. The visual of the floor keep going I think adds quite a bit to the space of the area.
The dining room table needs to move over to the right a little bit but it still looks super small in the room.

Standing at the hallway looking in the hutch is on the wall the TV used to be on and the smaller hutch on the wall that held the movies. We have vaulted ceilings so there is tons of room above to decorate also. Those flowers were from DH for my 40th birthday on Wednesday. I hide all the balloons in the boys rooms for the pictures.  :-)

This project was a lot of work however so worth it. We are loving the new rooms, the carpet is amazing. The kids are even keeping their rooms picked up so they can play on the floor and enjoy it. Not holding out that it will last long, Lego's will be on the floor in no time but for now its nice.  :-)  DH is talking about renovating the kitchen counter tops and the master bathroom shower next. Ai yi yi!!!
Thanks for sharing in my home renovation project. My stamp room is back together and I am done unpacking for now. Planning on getting some stamping in and hopefully some bloggin in to see what you all have been up too. Have a wonderful Saturday!
