Flowers around my house...

It was cloudy yesterday...

Yesterday was raining and cloudy. It was a good weather for me to do some gardening. At least I have something to do since Twinkle is still in Kuching. She is coming back this Saturday.

That's Twinkle's pet. Well, Twinkle is naughty towards her. Sometimes, purposely pokes her eyes! No wonder Bibit is scared of her whenever she approaches.

I just moved her here...

Actually, I was a little bit upset and dissapointed. With the price hike on petrol, I starts to worry about my daily budgets. But, in order to clear off my head and not to worry so much, I just simply do gardening. I did weeding, pruning and even plants some sunflower seeds. Luckily, I have cousin to help me up with the lifting and moving pots around.

I moved all of them here...

I moved all my ribbon bamboos here. I have three pots of them. My friends told me arranging them in three lines will give more luck. So, I did. I repositioned all the red ribbons to the eighth's leaves. The other two pots hasn't earned any ribbon yet since they haven't give me any flower. Oh ya, another two flowers coming up from the biggest one. Soon it will be 12 ribbons in total! Yeaaah! (I don't know why I am happy about this... I guess simple things makes me happy...).

I had these two plants for almost four years. Look at how big they are. All their 'kids' I've thrown away cause I want to make sure the 'mother' getting bigger. I save a few of them in smaller pots. You should see my hands now. Full with scratches!!! The edges of the leaves are studded with tiny and small thorns!!! I didn't wear gloves cause I don't want to spend money on unneccessary things.

After two years, the wild tiger orchid is blossomming again. I told my mum and she is thrilled about it. I did some weeding around her. Now, she is clean and looking gorgeous!

All orchids are belong to my mum. Actually there's some more, but I just put 70% of it here. She's really passionate about her orchid. She will remind me to water her orchid whenever I called her. Sometimes, I told her the orchid needs to be on diet. Hehehehehe... Less water.

So, there you are. Things that I've done during weekends. Now I am thinking on locations to plant my nine seedlings of sunflowers.

My ribbon bamboo..

My ribbon bamboo got flowers!!! They say it is good luck to have flower. Actually, four of them. One dead, one still a bud... and other two... well, as the above. It makes me happy though knowing that my ribbon bamboo got flower. Yeahhhh!!

This one has a very long stem..

My mother loves flower... When she is not busy with Twinkle (usually around 6.00 am to 7.00am, when Twinkle is still sleeping), she will be tending her orchid. Well, since I have camera... it is another way for me to capture the beauty of the flower... You know... like a database thingy.... Sooner or later, all the flowers will die.. so better keep a log/photos of them while they are stil pretty... Sadly, I don't really know their names....

I love this flower... it is actually creepers... the smell is enticing.... especially at night... But scary at the same time... Kinda reminds me vampire or "pontianak".

Tiger Orchid

Actually, I have a very interesting orchid to show. It is called Tiger Orchid and it is wild. This is the first time the plants flowered after 4 years my mum planted it. It is only flowers once a year the same time. So, the next flower will be June 2007.

Somebody told me it can cost RM 10,000. I told my mum, if someone wants to buy it for RM10,000, just sell it. She has four of it, so no harm if she wants to sell it. Anyone out there interested?
