Better late than never!
Welcome to my work table - this week has been mostly doll/teddy clothes week.
Ben's teddy needed a few bits and bobs for his holidays so he now has a T shirt and shorts, nappy and holiday bag.
I have also been finishing off my little dollies outfits including a sleepsuit, nappy and knitted cardi. I still have a few more to finish ready to go in the little birthday bags.
The rest of my week has been spent mounting pictures etc for Tilly Tea Dance and then we went over to The Quirky Fox gift shop in Llangollen to deliver them. It's a beautiful little shop/gallery and we were met with a very warm welcome by one of the owners who loved Tilly's work.
So that's it for this week - short and sweet.
Join in with the mad blog hop over at Julia's Stamping Ground.
Thank you for calling by - a big hug to all who need one!!

I think my table is all set for some finishing off jobs for Tilly Tea Dance.
She left a pile of beautiful little dumfed pictures for mounting and some teeny tiny embroidered inchies all ready to be attached to silver pendant blanks.
So, it looks like I will be busy later this morning - firstly I have to nip over to baby sit Ben while Maxine has her hair cut.
Then, wahoo - a birthday party this afternoon! With a bit of luck and fine weather it might be tea in my school friend's garden with friends and family - perfect!
If you feel like joining in with our workdesk show and tell, then pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground and share your desk with a few like minded crafters.
Have a great week.
Thanks for calling by.

Well - at last, a bit of crafty activity from the Twiglet work desk!!
Firstly, my wool rovings and yarns all laid out ready for wet felting.
I haven't done any wet felting for ages so it's fun to have a dabble and just for a change I raided Tilly's stash of gorgeous yarns and rovings!
Below are the dollies' clothes mentioned last week. Apparently they were well received by Ben's little friend. Her mummy is expecting a new baby so she is dolly mad at the moment and spent ages changing dolly's nappy! I think I shall be making a few more of them for other birthdays coming up in the next few weeks.
These are the latest twiddlemuffs...
Some are going to a local residential home, so I am sure they will be well loved and twiddled.
Today, I will be hosting Maxine and Ben. She is so thrilled with the response to her "Tilly Tea Dance" creativity but with success comes more hard work, so she will be dumfing and stitching while I play diggers and dumpers!
Have a great week everyone and thanks for calling by.

Good morning all!
It's a bit overcast and gloomy here but still quite warm.
It rained overnight so it's a bit too damp for outdoor play this morning - maybe that means I can potter quietly and craftily indoors!! I fancy doing a little bit of wet felting using some new natural pre-felt. (I might update this later if I manage to finish any)
My table has lots to snoop around for you today. Just bits and bobs that keep appearing as I tidy drawers and cupboards. AND my latest unfinished twiddlemuff - yes I know I said I would give it a rest but Karen at the hospital was so pleased with my donation of footie twiddlemuffs, and the rest, that I thought I might make a few more when a find time.
Here is the link to the media release about the footie ones..
http://www.sath.nhs.uk/media/news_archive/2016-07-July/160725-STFCTwiddlemuffs.aspx
And lastly - just look at this little beauty...
It is the Tom Thumb fuschia that LLJ brought for me last year.
It is packed with tiny blooms and looks a real picture! Thanks Jan - a perfect specimen - and so is the fuschia!
Well thats it for today - it's now pouring down so I shall finish baking my bread buns and get felting!
Have a good week. Thanks for visiting and for your lovely comments.
Join us all blog hopping around the globe over with at Julia's Stamping Ground - so good to see you back there Julia!!

What do you post on WOYWW when you have had a busy week doing all sorts of things and yet nothing has happened on my workdesk??
It's unusual for a week to pass without just a little bit of crafty activity!
I am blaming my happy days spent with Ben, my DD who raids my craft stash and then makes the most lovely things with it all, and the hot weather!
So my table has a few bits and bobs waiting for attention.
I will be happy to get back in there on a dull day when I have the urge to create.
Meanwhile, I am playing diggers and dumpers on my pebble patch, blowing bubbles and throwing the ball high up into the apple tree and listening to the laughter as it rattles back down to the little boy at the bottom.
I am baking buns and making nice lunches and family teas. I am whizzing round the housework like a demented house elf, cleaning in the minimum time and making the iron fly over any piles of ironing that come my way!
Now a trip to Ikea calls so I will see you later when the day has cooled off and I am ready to chill for an hour or two.
Hope you are keeping cool but enjoying the lovely weather.
So, I am popping over and say welcome back to Juila and also say a big thank you to Jan for looking after us so well over the last few weeks. Join us in our mad blog hop over at Julia's Stamping Ground.

I am quickly writing the text for this post on Tuesday 31st May.
I am waiting for Ben to come to play and thought I would do this little task while I wait.
Firstly, I know we are all thinking of Julia and we can only imagine what her life has been like for the last few months. So, our very best wishes go out to Julia, her family and friends. Here's hoping all goes well and she can make a speedy recovery. I know she will be in the thoughts and prayers of a lot of folk this week.
I took my crafty activity out onto my patio table for a photo in the sunshine.
Don't they all look bright and beautiful - a dozen twiddle muffs waiting to be delivered to Shrewsbury hospital. I have lost count of how many I have made but think it must be about 40 now. I was going to stop but I am afraid I am addicted - totally hooked! If anyone knows a cure - let me know, or better still send me some more chunky wool oddments to feed my habit!!!
Now I have to thank all you lovely folk who have sent ATCs to Annie and me.
I will take photos next week when Annie has seen them all as I think there is still a bit of passing over to be done. It has been fun creating our mini works of art and sending them round the globe. It brings home to us just how important our little online crafty group has become. Again, all due to a fun lady who could see the value of like minds joining together, around the globe, for a bit of harmless fun! God Bless her!
Ok - so if you want to join in the fun, you need to pop over to Lunch Lady Jan's Fabric Frenzy. She is making a great job of looking after Mr Linky! Thanks Jan.
Have a great week.

WOYWW - 7th anniversary!
A Happy 7th Anniversary of our WOYWW crafty get togethers!
Of course without the help of the lovely Julia - and Jan too, this wouldn't have happened. So, a huge thanks to Julia and all our love and best wishes to you for the next few weeks. You will be in all our thoughts, I am sure. And Jan, thanks for holding the fort and keeping us all in order. You know where we are if you need us!!
My ATCs will be winging their way to anyone who told Annie or me that you wanted to swap.
Here are a few more of them...
AND this is the state of my desk this week...
I have been busy with a birthday card for a special Yorkshire friend.
The books are some of my favourite ones which I thought I had lost in the move.
(I found them hiding under a shelf - just wondering now what else is lurking in odd spaces where they were stuffed in haste to get the sewing room looking tidy!)
So there we are, 7 years of crafty fun shared with you all - where did that time go!
You only have to look back over old blog posts to see what a happy crafty time we have shared and just how much wonderful craftiness we have brought into the world.
Long may it last.
Thanks for all your WOYWW friendship and love.
I am hoping to visit every desk in celebration this week!!
Have a fun week.

Here is my work table in all its glory today!
We have been busy getting ready for an event that Maxine is taking her "Tilly Tea Dance" delights to.
Consequently we have a piling system in place!!
It will be all neat and tidy, ready for when she arrives later this morning but at the moment it's a mess!
Of course, I don't help by dumping my Twiddle muffs on the end of the table.
So - enjoy the snoop - you might spot half mounted daisy pictures and lovely woolly wet felted background pieces draped over my machine. The rest is just a jumble of left over bits and bobs that all need to find a home to get tidied away into.
Just a query for you clever card and paper crafters - Do you know how I can get hold of some large die cut labels - approx 15cm x 8cm with a fancy scalloped top with hole punched for ribbon thread etc?
Maxine is displaying her brooches on them and we will probably need to restock.
That's it for this week.
Don't forget our ATC swap next week. I have ours all ready to post but will also put Twiglet* on Mr Linky next week so that I can pass one to the next person who signs in after me.
Have a great week and thanks for calling by.

Good morning - happy WOYWW!
Not much action on my desk this week!
Having said I wouldn't make any more Twiddlemuffs - here is one more!
I met one of the organisers in a local wool shop (Ewe and Ply in Shrewsbury) and she said they really do need lots more so, I scraped up enough wool to make one or two this week. The latest is a cheery red one - it has a lovely big poppy on it but I seeem to have chopped it off my photo!
The other bits and bobs are from Tilly Tea Dance who has been working on her needle felting and embroidery in the craft room and preparing a few more pictures for mounting.
AND - these are the beautiful flowers from an earlier post - don't they look pretty in that little jug now that they have opened out!
Well that's it I am afraid - I have nanny duties this morning and its a glorious sunny day so I am sure much fun will be had by all!
Have a good week. Thanks for calling by and leaving kind comments.
Don't forget to tell me if you would like to swap ATCs.

Well folks - where did last week go?!!
Here we are on our WOYWW show and tell day, again.
Well not really a lot to show and tell!
I had a busy week with outings and visits but my desk didn't see much action, other than Tilly Tea Dance finishing off her pictures to deliver round the county.
So here is a quick look at my new storage arrangements in my room - still not fully sorted but beginning to look more like it......
Maxine needle felted the little flowers below.
She doesn't like it and says she is going to pull it apart and start again, but I think it is pretty and would be fine once she has added detail - what do you think?
AND here is the little hedgehog bread bun I baked for Ben yesterday.....
I think someone has nibbled his nose.
Well that's it for this week.
I am on duty for curtain shortening at Annie's this morning and then I think my room is being used for dumfing fun!
Have a great week all.

Happy Wednesday all!
I have to take my car into the garage this morning so I am quickly posting a few pics to share with my WOYWW buddies (and anyone else who pops in to see what is keeping me out of mischief this week!)
I finished off my little chick/chicken finger bobs for Ben and then hid them ready for him to find them when he called yesterday. He kept two here and took two home to play with.
In my crafting time, when I have my sewing room to myself, I have been busy with a little project that is nearly finished but I will be sharing it a bit later in the year! Or maybe just a taster pic for you....
At other times Tilly Tea Dance has been beetling away on my table making and mounting more of her gorgeous dumfling pics. Apparently the shops that she has placed them in, are rapidly selling out!
Of course with the dumfing (needle felting) comes the need to restock our rovings.
Just look at this heap of fluffy gorgeousness that I ordered from Sara's Textures.
Sara is brilliant - she created just what we wanted by dyeing or blending yarn specially for us.
It is a blend of wool and silk and will dumf most beautifully I am sure.
And lastly here are my latest Twiddlemuffs - all finished and ready to go to Shrewsbury hospital.
Well that's all I have time for. I hope you enjoyed a peek at all my crafty bits and bobs!
I hope I can get round a few desks this week for a good snoop.
Meanwhile, thanks for calling.
See you soon.

WOYWW - room with a view!
Good morning all!
Just a quick view through my sewing room window just after seven this morning.
A rosy pink sky and the moon - so pretty.
Not much actually on my WOYWW for today so I thought you might like to see my Twiddle mitts.
I think we may have a dozen to post to Ludlow for use with their elderly folk over there. They were fun to make and several of our friends actually found it quite theraputic to sit an twiddle too!
So cheery and cheerful don't you think?
Well it's short and sweet today - thanks for popping in to visit.
I will be round to your desk later - sometimes much later!!!
Have a great week.

WOYWW - room for crafting!
Good morning all!
I thought I would share our little gift sent to us from Sam aka Hettie. She said she saw it and thought of us - so kind and such a fab little book. I love Janet Bolton's work and I know a little boy who would love some Noah's ark collage pictures for his wall so I am sure the book will provide lots of inspiration. Thanks Sam.
Now don't faint but, yes, I am actually getting somewhere with the organising and sorting in my room.
I still need one more Kallax cupboard to complete the look but will need to get a shopping list ready for Ikea before I take the 80 mile round trip.
So, below are just two photos of the room so far.
The heart shaped message board was made by the clever quilter Jo of Jozarty. It looks good there don't you think?
At least now we can craft in comfort without having to climb over boxes and bags of "stuff"
This week I finished off the little aran jumper and made a few more Twiddle mitts - so it's been a knitting marathon. When I started making the mitts I sorted out all my most suitable wool. Since then it seems to have doubled in quantity!!! Does anyone else find this happens when you begin a little kind deed?
When we made dresses for the "Dress a girl around the world" scheme the same thing happened. Fabric appeared from nowhere and we ended up making over 400 dresses!
I am not sure I could knit that many twiddle mitts but nevertheless that wool is definitely reproducing in my cupboard over night!
Here is Ben's aran jumper - it worked up a tad too big so I will save it for the Autumn and knit a smaller one for him.
Well that's it for this week.
See you around your desks later.
Have a great week.

WOYWW - the first for 2016
Happy New Year everyone!
Thank you for dropping by to inspect my crafty activities on my work desk!
I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Christmas and good New Year celebrations.
Now we are looking forward to a busy and hopefully healthy 2016.
So, my desk today should be loaded with exciting projects and fun stuff to do... er... well maybe next week. Not that I am procrastinating or anything - I am just a bit slow off the mark!
This the view from the window side of my table - obviously still a bit of sorting and re arranging to do - but at least it is a useable if slightly over crowded space.
I have a list of things I need to do including curtains and a couple of refurbishing jobs but as yet I haven't made a start - no real excuses - just the Christmas slow down I guess. I think I need to detox and lose the extra pounds that I gained over the holidays and then I will be back to my usual bouncy self!
The little washing tablet boxes have my inchies project waiting for completion. I made quite a few frosty sparkly ones as Christmas cards but still have a few to finish for pictures or birthday cards.
The Yorkshire Calendar was a gift and is full of old railway posters which I love. Behind that is a box of pamper goodies - body butter and all that - so I will be a shiny, very slippery smoothy this year!
I hope you enjoyed the snoop - I will be tracking you down and checking out your desks when time allows this week so don't forget to join in the fun over at Julia's Stamping Ground.

WOYWW - 6th anniversary!
Good morning to all my WOYWW friends and other followers!
Well here we are on the WOYWW 6th anniversary.
To celebrate, I have made lots of little ATC sized dumflings which are all packed up with Annie's ATCs ready to pop in the post tomorrow. So, if you have already told me you would like to swap then you need watch for your postie! If you are my PIF then I will send you one too, once I know who you are.
Below is half of my work table with my first anniversary pin cushion made in honour of Julia Queen of our WOYWW fun. I can't believe we have been doing this for 6 years - it's been great to blog hop round so many fab crafty desks and meet up with fellow crafters. Thanks Julia, it was a brilliant idea and you have worked hard to keep us all together all these years.
You can see a few of my ATCs at the front and the little beady worm I bought for Ben
In the background are two lovely ATCs - one from Nikki and another I received as a welcome to my new house card. Thanks to both.
I hope I can get round and celebrate the day by visiting lots of desks.
Thanks to all of you for being there, for visiting my blog and leaving such happy friendly comments.

Good morning all!
Just a few more of the lovely ATCs that have arrived here over the last week - er plus maybe a few I recognise from last week's post, now I am looking again!! Oh and in the foreground the little poem that came with the one from Shaz in Oz - what a creative bunch you are!!
Each little ATC is so different and I find all the techniques fascinating. Some came in equally beautiful little cards with tags etc. Brilliant!
Thanks lots everyone.
Now, last week I told you that no crafting had taken place on my table - a rarity, as some of you kindly pointed out!
BUT.....

This week I have actually finished the wee mousey quilt and bag to send of to Jo for her LillyBo Quilt appeal. If you think you would like to make a little quilt for a poorly child then follow this link to the LillyBo Quilt blog and find out more.
And finally.....
These little sparrows were helping themselves to a wash and brush up in my bird bath today.
There are some young ones in my garden clamouring for food too.
I have also seen young chaffinches and a baby robin this week.

WOYWW - 4th anniversary
Ta- ta ta ta ta ta - ta!!!
(Imagine trumpet fanfare)
We see tidy desks, messy desks, desks loaded with crafty bits and bobs and wonderful craft work made by the desk sharer.
So - to Julia and all the crafters who join in each week and then blog hop around as many desks as they can leaving comments and messages- thank you for making this little crafting group such a big success. So many happy friendships have grown up around WOYWW - even though we may never meet - we have shared all sorts of events and activities- and supported each other too.
Long may it last and a big thank you to all!!!!
Above on my table is the crown pin cushion that I made for the first WOYWW anniversary, surrounded by a few of my WOYWW4 ATCs. I have already posted a few and saved one for my pass it forward to the next person on Mr Linky whoever that may be!!!
Below is the piece of white crazy quilting that I made last week.
I am quite pleased with it and think I might frame it. It is a 12 cm square, so quite small. It has hand stitches, beads and lace decorating the quilted together pieces.
Vintage linen - runners, table and tray cloths.
Several pieces of pretty cotton prints - not sure what to do with them but I know I will think of something!!!
So that's it for this week.
Enjoy checking out the 4th anniversary workdesks - I will try and visit as many as possible.

WOYWW
Good morning all - let's hope today is as warm and sunny as the last two days - this could be our Summer folks!
Just a few bits and bobs to share today.
At the top - a pile of fabric snippets given to me this week. I think they will make lovely dolly dresses or crazy quilt pieces.
The printed picture below was an idea I found on Pinterest for making crazy quilting so I thought I might give it a go. A creative way to use up scraps of fabric/lace etc.
On the right is a bag of threads that was a bargain at the car boot sale. The narrow pale blue ricrac was really pretty.
And below.......
This little creature was sucking nectar with its long proboscis from our Aubretia flowers in the sunshine this week. I had never seen one before. It was about 2 cm long and furry like a bee. It had a pointed head and long proboscis. I looked it up and I think it is a Bee fly - Bombilius Major.
That's country life for you!!
That's it for this week. Thanks for joining the mad bloghop that is the brainchild of the lovely Julia of the Stamping Ground.
If any of my blogging buddies want to join in with the WOYWW ATC swap then email me twiglet517@hotmail.co.uk and I will pop one in the post. I think I made quite a few so first come first served.
Thanks for calling.

WOYWW - ATC swap anyone?
Good morning all!
I have been busy this week making my ATCs ready for our WOYWW 4th anniversary swap.
If you wonder what this is all about, then follow this link to find out more.
Annie and I enjoyed a bit of quality crafting time on fun day Monday.
We both spent time stitching away on our ATCs - they are totally different styles but all lovely!!
If you think you would like to swap ATCs with me then email:
twiglet517@hotmail.co.uk with your details.
I have made about 25 so - first come first served until they run out, I guess!
Mine are hiding in the box in the top left hand corner of my picture. The rest of the bits and bobs on my desk are some of the fabrics etc that I was using.
Can you see little Tanner wrapping himself in some pretty turquoise lace?
He just can't resist all that pretty stuff - I put it down to his former home life with V at the Bearister Bookcase - his little buddies over there are just the same - they love to check out the pretty things V has been working with!!
Ok - that's me for this week - unless of course you want a real giggle - if so, then scroll down to the post below.
Have a good week

WOYWW
The evening sun was streaming through my window so I snapped a quick pic of the mayhem on my table....
OK folks - I am off to tackle the frock - I may be gone for some time!!

- half made dollies - some in the box and some on the window sill
- an idea for a pretty pincuchion made from crazy quilting
- wool waiting to made into dollies hair
- scraps of sheer fabric with my practice - tiny hems - ready for when I tackle the wedding dress. It's ages since I have done any very fine sewing - I felt I needed to practice before I launched into the real thing!! Of course my very clever little seamstress sister was on hand with excellent advice so I am sure all will be well when I get round to doing it. Max came over on Monday and we had a trying on session. She will make a beautiful bride I am sure.
- PS - only shortening the dress - not making it from scratch!!!!
