Playing Around the Ship

Jumpman

My cute husband

The second formal night

These cute towel animals were left on our bed every night, along with the next days itinerary, and 2 chocolates.

We went to a towel animal making class. These are two puppies facing each other.

Truman braved the water slide with all the other kids ;)

Grand Turk

Arriving at the port

Truman thought he was practically touching the cactus spikes, haha.

I was closer...

We rented our own snorkeling gear at this island & we are so glad we did. The water was so clear & calm and there were tons of fish to see right off the shore.

"The feet"

This was one of our favorite islands

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Walking around the city, we saw lots of people selling their crafts, jewelry, and art.

Such warm water! You could wade or jump right in like it was bath water, loved it!

St. Thomas, Virgin Islands

Taking safari bus to kayak/snorkel excursion

There seemed to be no flat land, all the houses were built into hills like this.

Kayak/Snorkel place

While kayaking in the mangrove sanctuary, I noticed more resistance a few times while paddling. I look back to find Truman has stopped paddling all together... fired.

These beautiful mangroves were everywhere and are living in the salt water breaking the waves and protecting the land from erosion. However, mangroves can't survive in that much salt, so they filter it out through reverse osmosis. Any extra salt that gets through anyway doesn't hurt the whole mangrove. Each little patch of leaves will sacrifice one leaf, and give that leaf all the salt, for the benefit of the whole plant.

The tour guides set up a hermit crab race. Not to toot our own horn, but uhhh ...ours came in 2nd place... it's kind of a big deal.

Truman trying to eat our hermit crab, poor thing.

Nature walk to the tide pooling spot

Sea urchin

This area was beautiful and had lots of great creatures and tide pools to explore.

Snorkeling was so fun in the Virgin Islands. We had to kayak to this location because the mangrove sanctuary is all protected. There's no fishing, motor boats, etc. allowed in this area, making for cleaner, calmer, clearer water. We were able to see a lot of great fish and even adult & baby puffer fish.

This was the tour guide's little chihuahua named Pepito.

Lunch after a 4 hour excursion, we were famished! Can't beat that beautiful view!

Came back to the island for more after lunch to go see the shops and site see the area.

"The feet"

Relaxing and reading his new book, you deserve it Truman! ;)
