The publisher of the South Eastern Queens Press which endorsed Leroy Comrie for state senate against Malcolm Smith was his wife Marcia Moxam Comrie. During her husband political career Mrs. Comrie has been listed as the SE Queens Press's Publisher, Contributing Editor and Associate Publisher and Editor in Chief of the Queens Tribune. The Owner of the South Eastern Queens Press is also the publisher of the Queens Tribune Michael Nussbaum. Michael Nussbaum the publisher of the Queens Tribune owns a printing company called muilti media that has a long relationship doing printing work for Parkside clients. But if you look at the finance filings you almost never the Nussbaum or any other hidden subcontactor because because the election law does not require them to file. The appeals court ruled that Mr. Nussbaum could not be charged with bribery because he was not a public official, and that there was insufficient evidence linking Mr. Manes - the only public official implicated - to any bribery plot.

Nussbaum is now the associate publisher of the QueensTribune. He’s also the owner of a company, Multi-Media Advertising, which does work for political candidates. Among those candidates was City Councilman-elect (yes, I know, it was only a primary) Tom White, best known during his previous run in elected office for not showing up to meetings before being ousted by term limits.
