Little Red Wagon #270 - It's Another Happy New Year!

I am  hosting this week's challenge at LITTLE RED WAGON. We are getting ready to say good-bye to 2014 and my challenge for today is called ANOTHER HAPPY NEW YEAR! Create a project that celebrates New Year's!

I created a punny card using a cute image from Whimsie Doodles called New Year's Lush. I am happy to finally use this image which I have had since last new year's.

Inside the card I used an image and sentiment from Your Next Stamp called Clink.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps #261 - Sing Me A Song (repeat)

Hello Krafty Peeps, welcome back to another Saturday challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Actually, this week we have hit the repeat button on our krafty challenge and we are continuing with our SING ME A SONG challenge. That's right you have another week to play along with this fun challenge. The SING ME A SONG is open to your interpretation,  however you may want to explain it for us, if it is not too obvious. This Krafty Girl can be a bit slow after the holidays figuring these things out.

You can play along with this challenge until January 2nd. Just create a NEW card, layout or altered item and link it up over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog. Use any image you would like as long as it follows the challenge theme. However there is an added bonus (double your chances to win) if you do use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp. What is the prize? A lucky Krafty friend will WIN a $10 gift card to the shop!

This week on my card, I used the fabulous and sassy EVA. Although this song is primarily played at Christmas time, "BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE" works just fine for a cold, snowy, winter day. Not that we are currently experiencing that right now, which is fine for me.

Along with the darling EVA, I also used my new favourite winter paper, Bo Bunny Altitude. This fabulous paper is in the Kraftin' Kimmie Shop and Miss EVA is on sale for a fabulous boxing day sale (till Dec 31 - while supplies last).

Little Red Wagon #269 Happy Birthday

Happy Christmas Eve day crafty friends. Are you ready for Christmas? I finished my shopping on the weekend and spent a long time wrapping. I did have a bit of time to work on a quick card for this week's LITTLE RED WAGON challenge.

Jan is looking after the challenge for this week and it's an easy one......HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Create a new project that is birthday related.

For this weeks challenge I shifted away from Christmas/winter and I created a simple birthday card using "Big Birthday Wishes" from My Favorite Things. The paper is Pink Paislee Solstice.

For the added glitter to the balloons, I used Glitter Ritz Micro fine glitter on top of my Copic coloured balloons. I applied the glitter after using the Zig two way glue pen. Last time I used the glitter I had used Glossy accents. If you want the glitter with dimension, the Glossy accents are a good thing to use.

Your Next Stamp Design Team Dare (December)

Welcome back to this month's Design Team Dare. What is the DT Dare? It is a challenge given to the YNS DT to create a project following a set theme or using certain YNS product(s). As we are nearing Christmas, our challenge is simply to create a Christmas or Winter project.

I made a Christmas card using the Sweet Holiday Greeting stamp and die set and the Stitched Fishtail Tag Two die set.  The paper is Lawn Fawn Snow Day.

Your Next Stamp: Sketch/Colour Challenge # 4

It's time for another FUN FRIDAY challenge at YOUR NEXT STAMP.

We are into our fourth challenge which includes our FABULOUS sketch.

For my card today, I worked with the sketch using the sweet A Gift from Cuddles stamp. The paper is Bo Bunny Altitude. I just love the rich vibrant colours in the collection. I am hoping to make a few more cards before Christmas.

Hello everyone. Since life has been a bit hectic, I am again dual posting for the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Wonderful Wednesday Challenge and

the Little Red Wagon weekly challenge.

The KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS Wonderful Wednesday challenge is always ANYTHING GOES. Create a new card, layout or altered item and link up over at the Kraftin' Kimmie blog. It is always great when you show off a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp, however we are all inclusive, so create with any stamp your heart desires. There is a fabulous prize each month to one stamper!

At LITTLE RED WAGON our host for this week's challenge is Carolyn. This week she is keeping things simple and looking for a CHRISTMAS project.

Since I am still scrambling to make a few last minute cards this was a perfect challenge. I used CHRISTMAS CHEER from Kraftin' Kimmie stamp and created a card with a somewhat simpler design. The paper is Carta Bella Warm and Cozy.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps December Release Hop

 
Welcome back for our Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps December Release BLOG HOP!

Join the Krafty Girls and Guests as we offer up some FABULOUS inspiration. This week Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps has been previewing this months release, which includes sentiments, some rockin' girls and our sweet kids with some wild friends.

We started the previews with our AMAZING new sentiments designed by our very own Krafty Girl Becky Pearce. The set is called MAKE A WISH!

Next we had some Rockin' new Moonlight Whisper sets from Annie Rodrigue and they are the sassy ROCK STAR and the cool ROCKER CHICK!

Finally we had the sweet Lexi, Lucas and Lulu set SAFARI FUN by Cheryl Grant.

Today I am using Lucas from SAFARI FUN. I created this card using fabulous paper from Bella BLVD called Tiny Tots. I love the vibrant colours for this stamp set. I decided to go with a distressed look and embellished the card with a few tags I made from scrap paper, buttons, wooden camera and compass and a bit of film negative (Tim Holtz).

The inside sentiment is from the MAKE A WISH sentiment set.

Today's set features the adorable Lexi, Lulu and Lucas and a few of their favourite animal friends in the new SAFARI FUN stamp set.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps December Peek - Rock Star!

We are just rocking along with the new December release previews for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Today we are back with day TWO peeks and this one is is for the new MOONLIGHT WHISPERS sets from Annie Rodrigue.

I am sure you will sing the praises of these ROCKIN' chicks. There are TWO new sassy rocker girls and we are excited to preview today the fabulous ROCK STAR and ROCKER CHICK!

My card today is featuring the sultry singing ROCK STAR!

For my card today I used paper from Bo Bunny Mama Razzi collection along with kraft tickets from Maya Road, film negative (Tim Holtz) and flowers (Michaels Recollections). I really love the distressed look for this card.

Inside my card I changed up my usual design. I still added the image and one of the sets sentiments. Decorating the inside is a great way for an added surprise and tie in the theme by reusing the image and scraps of pattern paper. However, it does make the card a lot heavier. This card is likely go to someone I can hand deliver due to the embellishment and added layers.

Kraftin Kimmie Stamps December Peek - Make a Wish

Hello KRAFTY friends, welcome. Today we are set to KICK OFF another amazing release for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. That's right, today is day ONE of our previews and we are starting off this peek with a BANG!

In addition to show off this wonderful preview set, Kimmie is announcing the addition of a NEW artist. Now this talented girl is no stranger to the Kraftin' Kimmie family, as she is actually one of the talented Krafty Girls. I am happy to show off my project featuring a fabulous new sentiment from the MAKE A WISH set by the amazing Becky Pearce.

I love these sentiments for a lot of reasons. They are great as a stand alone on the front of your card, work well coordinating with a fun Kraftin' Kimmie stamp and they work great as your inside sentiment to finish your card.

I was so excited to work with this set and took a break with colouring images and created a card using the sentiment only. I heat embossed the sentiment with brown embossing powder (American Crafts Zing) and used paper from Cosmo Cricket (Art Angel). The flowers are all a mix from various companies.

Inside the card I added a second sentiment from this set. Now I am all ready with a simple birthday card.

Your Next Stamp - DT Dare (December)

Today I am sharing a card as part of the new DESIGN TEAM DARE at Your Next Stamp. This is a fun challenge the design team is given and we show off some of the new release image with this challenge.

This month as things are a bit hectic for everyone, our challenge was simply ANYTHING GOES. That is something I can do at the moment.

For the outside of my card I used the December released SNOWFALL stamp and HOUSES ON A HILL die set to create a winter scene. I have been enjoying getting inky with my distress ink, however this time I changed up my night time blue for a more sunset look.

To created the sky I heat embossed the SNOWFALL stamps with white embossing powder. Then with the the Tim Holtz ink applicator I applied the my distress inks (Scattered Straw, Worn Lipstick, Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans). The streaks across the sky were a happy accident. I used a baby wipe to clean up the ink that was on top of the embossed portion and it left the streak. I think it gives really cool effect to the evening sky.

For the inside of the card I used the FOREST FRIENDS stamp and the sentiment is from the WINTER HOME set.
