Surrogacy and Embryo, Sperm, & Egg Donation: What Were You Thinking?
If you don't know Theresa Erickson you should. Theresa is probably hands down one of the best attorney's I have met in my lifetime. Aside from being brilliant in her field Theresa has compassion for those struggling through the all so frustrating and often painful journey through the mines fields of infertility.
When I first learned that Theresa was writing a book about Third Party Reproduction I was thrilled -- "It's about time" I thought. After reading this book I can say with utmost confidence Theresa has hit a grand slam right out of the ballpark.
What I love about this book is it's truly a starting point. I love how this book is much like a road map for recipients parents who are wondering how the heck all of "this" works. Because in truth all of "this" can be incredibly overwhelming.
Theresa talks about the top ten myths of third-party family building, as well as the history of how ART came to be, how the process begins, (as in what do I first coach?), a comprehensive section on ethical and legal issues as well as questions to ask when you begin your journey to building your family, help in selecting your physician and attorney, as well as other fertility options you have.
It makes me proud to know Theresa, to work with her, and to read her much anticipated book.
Two thumbs up from Parents Via Egg Donation.
