Subaru Impreza wrx sti Review
Subaru Impreza – Subaru Impreza WRX STI (formerly the WRX STi, officially changed in 2006, STI) is the highest edition of the edge of the compact Subaru Impreza car, produced by Japanese automaker Subaru. In the late 1980s, Subaru created the Subaru Tecnica International (STI) division to coordinate the development of the FIA ??World Rally Championship and other motorsports activities. When the company grew, the allocation had been used to create high-performance consumer versions of the Subaru Impreza WRX, turbocharged, four-wheel drive car boxer engine, which leads to the development of the Impreza WRX STi. Subaru World Rally Team has used the race-ready version of the WRX STI rally since the beginning of the model structure of creation.
One of the biggest surprises in the Los Angeles Auto Show, 2010 Subaru Impreza Concept Design, disruption of us a few hours. Some thought it might be the long-awaited cut Sabota (a close relative of Toyobaru, of course), but in reality what we have here is a sedan conceptual claims Japanese automaker will have a major influence on future models , namely the Impreza, we bet. Yes, there are running 2.0-liter four-cylinder air screwed a CVT gearbox behind the new style grill and large cracks, but we’re really fascinated by the style. STI was originally sold only in Japan. E ‘was later made officially available in Oceania (Australia, was in 1999 STi version V). In 2001, Europe received the STi with the change tray. After seeing the Impreza WRX sell a much better than expected, Subaru began selling the STI in North America in the spring and summer of 2003, compared to 2004 model. Oceania and Europe had WRX STI area before the official release through the gray market importer.

2011 years model Impreza WRX STI is available in four-door sedan body style again after an absence of three years from the composition of the TSI after the third generation models. The new WRX STI sedan is built on “Wide Body” fender flare, jumps in front of and behind the skirts, but the sedan also come to similar treatments. The most important feature of the sedan STI rear wing is a great feature of the previous generation Impreza WRX STI sedan.
When a new front bumper, 2011 Impreza WRX STI is more aggressive than the 2008-2010 models. 2.5 flat-four engine turbo 305 hp is transferred, but the changes to the suspension to improve handling. 2011 years TSI model is stiffer springs, bigger anti-roll bar, and a new pillow, ball bearings in front of the forearm. The dealers in the United States are now required to synthetic oil 2011 models. We will now do 0-60 mph in 5 seconds and 13.7 seconds per mile is also worth noting that in Japan and Europe, the Impreza WRX STI model lacks a name. They are officially known as the Subaru WRX STI 4-door, and the Subaru WRX STI 5-door.

Ford has officially revealed its Fiesta-based EcoSport to the world's press at a special media event in New Delhi, India.
The vehicle shown to the media the night before its public debut at the New Delhi Auto Expo for 2011 is a concept car only, although it is "95 per cent" true to the way the production version will look, according to Ford's VP of Design, J Mays. The Ford designer says the EcoSport has  been specifically created for highly urbanised markets in the Asia/Pacific region. "We designed Ford EcoSport especially for markets in this growing region: India and beyond — growth markets aspiring beyond the small car," he said during his address to the journalists assembled. "Compact size, fuel efficiency - and value - are huge priorities for customers," he said of these emerging markets. Those are traits that make the car a strong contender in the Australian market also. "Never have we offered so much product in the footprint of a small car; we call it 'right-sized'," May also explained. Being developed on the same platform as the Fiesta light-segment car means the EcoSport should be among the most compact SUVs in the local market. Ford would not discuss sales forecasts, but the company sees the EcoSport's role in Australia as a game-changer in the segment, just as the Territory did during its first year on sale in the medium SUV segment. Given the anticipated size of the EcoSport and what is either officially confirmed by the company or has been intimated, we expect the car's price will undercut Skoda's Yeti in front-wheel drive form. And the EcoSport itself will be front-wheel drive. Ford's

Assistant Vehicle Line Director for the B Car in Asia/Pacific said as much. David Filipe is the man with an overview of all Fiesta-based Ford product in the region, so he was able to shed some light on the new model, including the point that this nominal SUV won't have all-wheel drive from launch. In fact, Filipe specifically stated that the company "had no plans for all-wheel drive" in the EcoSport, which is being developed using the engineering code B515. "We know how to do it," he said of the engineering work required; "it's just whether or not there's the demand for it."Filipe says that in addition to the 1.0-litre three-cylinder EcoBoost engine Ford admits will power the EcoSport, there will also be a 1.5-litre diesel four and a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol four-cylinder. These two engines may or may not make it to Australia. Five-speed manual transmissions will be standard, but there will also be self-shifting options for each of the three engines; PowerShift dual-clutch transmissions are on the cards for the two petrol engines, but an appropriate auto transmission for the diesel engine is proving harder to decide. Filipe hints the diesel may end up with a conventional (epicyclic) automatic at extra charge. For the present no one at Ford is discussing the

EcoSport in any sort of detail (even the interior design must wait another day), but the production version of the car will be launched globally later this year. It's unlikely to go on sale before the end of the year in even Brazil (where it was chiefly designed) and India, where it's to be built. As for Australia, we won't see the sub-compact SUV before 2013. At entry level, the EcoSport is likely to be powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine that Ford has been developing for some time and for which Ford claims 1.6-litre levels of power and torque - 120ps (88kW) and 170Nm. It emits less than 140g/km of CO2 also. The introduction of the EcoSport is a significant milestone at Ford. Global President and CEO Alan Mulally was on hand in India to present the new model to local and international press. Just one week out from the Detroit motor show (NAIAS) and with Ford running a simultaneous unveiling of the new EcoSport in Brazil — much closer to home for the head of Ford than India — Mulally's presence was testament to the importance of the EcoSport.

The 2000 Audi R8 is a complete revamp of last year'sR8R.  Audi has left no stone unturned.  Last year's chassis helped prove out the LMP concept as well as the major components.  But this year's R8 bears little resemblance, and out side of the engine configuration, little carries over.
Certain archetypal features drive the R8's appearance.  The high nose is in deference to the raised footbox that provides for a more ample front undertray.  The longtail allows for more adjustability with Le Mans performance in mind.  The high sided appearance of the monocoque gives the driver maximum protection while the low waisted bodywork either side reduces frontal area.  Notice how the bodywork between the front wheels has been essentially melted over the front suspension, the car's maximum rebound setting the minimum height for the bodywork in that area.
Audi has produced a thoroughly detailed machine.  This was further witnessed at Le Mans when the Joest Team was able to complete an entire swap of the rear end of the car in just over 4 minutes.  But there is no one "trick" item that differentiates the Audi from its competitors, it is the subtle details that make the difference..

Audi R8 Race Car

Posted by R.Jansen | | , | 0 comments »

The Audi R8 is a sports-prototype race car introduced in 2000 for sports car racing as a redevelopment of their Audi R8R (open top LMP) and Audi R8C (closed top LMGTP) used in 1999. It is one of the most successful racing sports cars ever (alongside such greats as the Porsche 956/962) having won the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2005 (five of the seven years it competed). Its streak of Le Mans victories between 2000 and 2005 was broken only by the Bentley Speed 8 (powered by the same V8 twin-turbo engine) in 2003, when the R8 finished 3rd.
The petrol-powered Audi R8 race car was replaced by the new Audi R10 TDI Diesel in 2006; however, the need to further develop the R10 meant that the R8 saw action in a few races leading up to Le Mans.

Records

Throughout its six year history, the R8 has proven to be one of the most dominant cars in history. Indeed, of all the races it had entered over a seven year period, the R8 lost a mere sixteen races total. Here is a list of some of the achievements of the R8.
  • 24 Hours of Le Mans winner - 20002001200220042005
  • American Le Mans Series champion: 2000200120022003200420052006
  • European Le Mans Series champion: 2001
  • Le Mans Series champion: 2004
† - Season partially run by the Audi R10 as well.

The name Audi R8 also is used by the production road sports car Audi R8 which is based on the 2003 Audi Le Mans quattro concept car, not the R8 race car. Production started in 2007.
