KING SUNNY ADE MARKS 50 YEARS ON STAGE AS EVANGELIST EBENEZER OBEY CLOCKS 70

It was a fun filled Sunday for those who graced the show that involved two great Juju music icons in Nigeria. Evangelist Ebenezer Obey who clocked 70 and King Sunny Ade who marked his 50th year on staged did a live performance at the Harbour Point event centre in Victoria Island Lagos on May 27, 2012. The hall which was filled to it`s capacity witnessed dignitaries from all walks of life. The concert also unveiled the mentors of the great music icons (Ebenezer Obey and Sunny Ade). Fatai Rolling Dollars of WAN KERE SI NUMBER WA is Evangelist Obey`s mentor and Moses Olaiya aka Baba Sala is Sunny Ade`s mentor. The event was also used by the organisers to raise funds for the less priviledge in the society.

EBENEZER OBEY CLOCKS 70 AND SUNNY ADE MARKS 50 ON STAGE

The history of Afro Juju music in Nigeria is incomplete without the names of Evangelist Ebenezer Obey and King Sunny Ade. As part of activites lined up to celebrate Obey`s seventieth birthday and Sunny`s fiftieth year on stage, the duo have signed a contract to play at the Harbour hall in Victoria Island Lagos Nigeria on May 27, 2012. The time is 2.00pm. Their mentors will also be there to grace the occasion. Ebenezer Obey was mentored by Fatai Rolling Dollars of `WAN KERE SI NUMBER WA`s` fame and Sunny Ade was mentored by Moses Olaiya a.k.a.
