Faith -- a scrapbook layout for ScrapbookPal

Hello again!  I'm back with a very fun layout, compliments of ScrapbookPal.com.  This month we design team gals are featuring the very cute stamps from Pink by Design, and today I am excited to share this scrapbook page I created with the Faith sentiment collection. It's easy to look at a sentiment stamp collection and only see possibilities for cards, so I was glad I had the challenge of using them for a scrapbook page.

In thinking about how I could use a whole bunch of the stamps on a layout, I loved the idea that faith grows over time, especially as we remember all the things these stamps say.  The tree background is patterned paper from Scenic Route, and I stamped the sentiments onto green paper and then cut around then to create the leaves.  I used a green marker to add some accents that would help tie them in with the patterned paper. I bent each leaf a little to give it some texture, then adhered them to the tree.  I used 3D foam for some of them to add to the dimension.  I cut a few more leaves from the same green polka dot paper I used for the bottom border strip. The title "faith" is cut from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge using the Shadow function to make it nice and chunky.  (See below for a closer-up look at the different sentiments.)

So take a look at your sentiment stamp sets -- or better yet, pick up some new adorable sets from ScrapbookPal -- and see what unexpected things you can do with them!  ScrapbookPal has a lot of great new products right now, and shipping is always free on orders over $25!  Thanks for stopping by!

Materials: Patterned Paper -- Scenic Route (Tree, brown polka dot, stripe), KI Memories (green polka dot).

Last but not least!

And now, without further ado, the last two projects I have to show you from my weekend scrap-a-thon!

This is a quick card I made for a dear friend who has been going through some hard times.  All the paper and elements are from Crate Paper, and I hand-cut the hills.  The scallop border at the bottom is my handy-dandy SU punch and the umbrella came from the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge.

And now, the layout I was most excited to complete!  If you've been around my blog for a while, you might remember that 3 years ago my sweet sister Carissa, who had Down's Syndrome, passed away rather unexpectedly.  I was pregnant with Eliza at the time, and we gave her the middle name Carissa when she was born.  I have always felt a special connection between the two of them.  Well, we used to call Carissa "Sunshine Sissa."  And now that Eliza is finally starting to talk, she calls herself Sissa.  In fact, she's very proud of it and introduces herself to everyone (whether it's strangers at the store or her daddy when he walks in the door at night) by running up to them and announcing: "I Sissa!"  It's just a sweet little thing that I want to remember forever. And isn't that what scrapbooking is all about?  After I thoguht I had finished the layout, I decided I really wanted to reinforce that connection, so I added a tiny picture of Carissa and a little butterfly looking down from above.  Perfect.

The papers here are from Imaginisce and the printed and canvas butterflies are from Making Memories.  The little pink butterfly at the top (by the pic of Carissa) is an EK Success punch.  The letters in "Sissa" are from the Cricut Lyrical Letters cartridge.

Thanks for hanging out with me over the past few days as I shared all these fun pages!  Now I am all sorts of in the zone, and I'm sure I'll have more pages to show you soon!  Have a great weekend!

Aliens and High Heels...

Okay, I lied.  I realized I have 4 projects left to show you from last weekend, so I'm going to do two today and two tomorrow.  I know, you're dying of suspense, right?!

This first one is Josh, my hilarious middle child.  That boy has an imagination that spans the universe.  Last summer he informed us that he was actually an alien visitor from another world, and soon nearly everything out of his mouth began with: "Well, on MY planet..."  He is still adding to the list.  I wrote down a whole bunch of things from when he first started saying it, but it disappeared.  Lucky for me, we were staying with my husband's parents at the time and my awesome MIL had also written them down.  Always good to have a backup, people!

I used the Cricut Zooballoo cartridge for the title, George for the star, and Everyday Paper Dolls for the little alien and ship.  I'm 99% sure this paper is from Crate Paper.

The second layout for today features my little cutie Eliza.  She is as girly as they come, so my SIL hit it right on the head when she brought her a little pair of high-heeled dress up shoes on a recent visit.  Her immediate love for them and talent for walking in them just had to be documented!

This paper is from Imaginisce.  I used American Crafts rub-ons for "baby's" and the pink foam stickers for "new."  The white felt letters in "shoes" are from KaiserCraft.  I didn't have any purple Tiny Type letters (and you know how I love those), so I made my own for the remaining words in the title.  The flowers are from Doodlebug.  I cut that scallop square in the background with the Cricut Accent Essentials cartridge.

Okay, so tomorrow will really be the last day of my little posting spree.  See you then!

More scrapbooking fun!

Hello again!  I'm excited to show you a few more scrapbook pages from my weekend getaway.  These first two feature my sweetheart oldest kid Sam.

Seriously, don't you just love that smile?!  Oh, these pictures just warm my heart.  The yellow paper is from Cosmo Cricket and the floral is from Basic Grey.  The letters are from the Cricut Jubilee cartridge and the floral accent is from the Gyspy Wanderings cartridge, and of course there are more Tiny Type letters for "this smile."  The ivory string is actually candlewick yarn that I found at the thrift store quite a while ago.

This one makes me happy, too.  I took these photos on his first day of school because I've decided to be a rebel and skip those cheesy school pictures altogether.  These capture his personality so much better!  The stripey paper here is from We R Memory Keepers, but I'm not sure who makes all those cute little accents.  I got them in my goodie bag at the expo and I can't find the package now.  If I find them, I'll update this.  The title letters are cut from the Cricut Stamped cartridge.

One last layout for today!  This one is our family hiking to Timpanogos Cave on Labor Day last year.  I used a Becky Higgins sketch and the title is from the Cricut Jubilee cartridge.  I hand cut the mountain range and the green "vegetation" lines and created the sun with a circle punch and some paper strips.  I haven't been doing a lot of "event" scrapping lately, so it was fun get into that mode again.  This is the kind of layout that I print out copies and put in the family scrapbook for my parents as well.

That's all for today!  Thanks for stopping by, and check in again tomorrow for the exciting conclusion of my scrapbooking marathon! :)

On a roll with scrapbooking!

Twice a year, thanks to my fabulous husband, I get to get out of the house for two days of shopping, relaxation, and most importantly SCRAPBOOKING my some of my best scrapbooking friends.  This past weekend I met up with them at the ScrapbookUSA Expo all day Friday, and then Saturday we set up camp at our local Archivers.  I had such a great time!  I have not done a whole lot of scrapping over the past few months -- mostly cards and other projects -- but the fire has definitely be reignited!  I finished a whole stack of layouts, but I'll just share a couple of them with you today so as not to totally overwhelm.  (I love them all, though, so look for several posts over the next couple of days.)

Here is layout #1:

I loved this lined from One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish (which is a fave at our house) and thought it made the perfect title for these funny face pics of my kids.  The PP, journaling card, ribbon, and trim came from a Fancy Pants kit I bought at the last Expo but hadn't even cracked open yet, so I thought I'd better use it before I could justify buying more goodies... (I know you ladies hear that!)  The letters from "funny things" are from the Cricut Lyrical Letters cartridge, and the "everywhere" is made from Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type stickers.  I just punched and inked circles for the border at the top and to make the title pop, and cut stars from the ribbon to accent that top border.

I really love how this one turned out.  My sister took my kids to a local pizza/arcade place called Pirate Island, and it turned into a marathon of waiting for food and being ignored by servers and such, but they still had fun and she taught them some really good lessons.  When I was planning this layout I was going to make it all pirate-y and such, but about 3 a.m. the night before the Expo I was lying awake thinking about how that really wouldn't capture the meaning of the experience (I know, I'm a nerd).  I remembered this kit that I bought from Memory Works at the Expo about 4 years ago (anyone noticing a theme?) that had these cute little clock overlays and I was really hoping it would work.  (You know, instead of being one of those ideas that sound perfect when you're half-asleep but are completely ridiculous once you're fully conscious.)  Not only did the clocks work, but the colors of the kit and all the little elements were perfect.  Yes!  Oh, and I'm not sure if you can tell from the scan, but I also sprayed the area where the two sets of pictures meet (like under the top of the journaling up to under "Life") with "Old Lace" glimmer mist, just to give it a little somethin'.

For this one, I believe all the elements are from a company called "GenX," but I'm not sure.  It's a really old kit... Oh, and there are more Tiny Type letters from Cosmo Cricket in red.  Those are just the coolest ever.

Thanks for stopping by!  I can't wait to share more with you over the next couple of days!

Birthday Spotlights (the scrapbooker's way)

Both my boys have December birthdays, and both their teachers recommended bringing in about "About Me" poster for their spotlight on their special day.  But with the craziness of December in general and still trying to keep our house spotless at all times for showings, I could not wrap my brain around making a big poster and then trying to figure out what to do with it afterwards.  My solution?  Make a scrapbook page instead!  I used my favorite pics from our recent family photo shoot and interviewed each boy about their current vital information.  I took them to their classes, where they were much admired by students and teachers alike, and now I can tuck them away in their scrapbooks while patting myself on the back for killing two birds with one stone.  (Spotlight poster?  Done!  Birthday milestone scrapbook page?  Done!  Now I'll probably just print off snapshots from their actual birthdays and put them in pocket pages with these in their scrapbooks.)

This is Joshy's:

Materials:  PP -- Basic Grey; Letter Stickers -- Cosmo Cricket; Die cuts -- Cricut Lyrical Letters (letters), Paper Doll Dress Up (rocket ship), Christmas Cheer (swirls) and George (star) cartridges; green strap -- Lil Davis Designs

And here is Sam's:

I was pretty proud of myself on Sam's especially.  I'm a lazy scrapper, and I really like to buy paper in collections so I don't have to stress about coordinating things.  But this layout combines paper from no less than 4 different manufacturers!  Ironically, it came together faster than just about any layout I've made.  Go figure!  Also, I challenged myself to make a boy layout with no stars for accents, because looking back through their pages I realized that had become my go-to shape for boys.  So I made these cute little accordian flowers with the pencil paper and they turned out so cool!  I also added a bottle cap, which is special because Sam LOVES collecting them.  He even made a bottlecap necklace for his cute little best friend at school.

Materials:  PP -- Autumn Leaves (cursive paper), Making Memories (green polka dot and brown houndstooth in the bottlecap), Scenic Route (green paper for the 7), and Cosmo Cricket (pencil/ledger paper -- actually the same paper): Letter stickers -- Cosmo Cricket; Scrabble tile sticker -- EK Success; Distressing -- Cat's Eye chalk ink; Die cuts -- Cricut Billionaire (letters) and Printing Press (7) cartridges

Merry Christmas!

I have an album specifically for Christmas, but I am woefully behind.  So I was very happy to have my ScrapbookPal.com DT assignment to motivate me to dig out some old pictures and get to work.  This month I am working with the Joys of the Season cartridge and Glaze pens.  The only problem was I could NOT decide which cuts I wanted to use!  I decided that if I used the ornament feature, I could use a bunch of my favorite designs without making the layout too crazy.*

I used my Gypsy to plan out the whole layout.  First, I created a sort of sketch on my screen, planning where everything should go and making sure all the elements were the right size.  Then I rearranged the elements into one block for each color so I could cut out all the elements at the same time.  Saves a lot of time!  The row of small ornaments on the bottom are cut at about 1.75", and the big gold ornament at the top is about 2.5".  (The pointy ornament is a chipboard photo turn from this paper collection.)  I cut "Merry Christmas" using the shadow function at about 3", then used my Glaze pens to add the detail of the letters.  I love how whimsical and fun it turned out. I used a white Glaze pen to create the little numbers for the date.  Oh, dang it!  I just realized I put in the wrong year.  Well, I'll be fixing that as soon as I finish posting... :)

When I went to put everything together, the title was really getting lost on that busy ornament background, so I cut a gigantic red ornament to make a nice background for it.  The ornament is about 8" wide, and I added a yellow scallop-edged strip at the top to give it a little detail.

Other materials: Patterned chipboard -- Daisy D's; Glimmer mist -- Tattered Angels; baker's twine -- Martha Stewart; scallop-edge punch -- Stampin' Up

When you're doing all your holiday shopping, don't forget some goodies to stuff your own stocking with!  ScrapbookPal.com has free shipping for orders over $25 and they ship same day.  After all, you've been good all year! :)

*Actually, this layout is a little crazy for my tastes.  But isn't that kind of how Christmas is?  All the decorations and the presents and the kids in their bright pajamas?  I'm just going to run with it...

Halloween '08 -- ScrapbookPal.com

I'll tell you a secret -- I have never made a Halloween layout I liked.  I don't know what it is about scrapping for this holiday, but I'm just never pleased with the results.  But I used my new Mini Monsters cartridge and black stickles from ScrapbookPal.com, and I have to say that I think I am going to call this one a keeper!  I tried to keep it simple, with just two of my favorite pictures from the night and just a little journaling.  I cut strips of various Halloween papers and layered them, and then tucked the pictures into the layers.  I used a strip of paper tape for the journaling at the bottom, which worked very nicely.  I wanted the paper strip that said "halloween" to stand out a little more so it could be part of the title, so I used my black stickles to dot along the edges, and I love the effect -- just the right amount of bling, without overpowering anything else.  To top it all off, I added this adorable pumpkin from Mini Monsters, which I cut at 2".  Such fun!

Additional materials:  Patterned paper -- Scenic Route, Imaginisce; "Boo" Snap -- We R Memory Keepers; Vinyl number stickers -- American Crafts; Paper Tape -- Martha Stewart Crafts

Hooray for nursery!

So, in our church, 18 months is a big milestone -- it's the age at which little ones can go to nursery instead of getting hauled around to Sunday School with Mom and Dad.  And as I'm sure you can understand, we always look forward to the big first day of nursery with anticipation, because having to sit quietly through two hours of grown-ups talking is not high on any toddler's list (and having to wrestle a toddler for two hours when you'd really like to sit quietly and listen is not high on the grown-up's list, either).  I'd taken pictures of the boys on their first day but I'd never scrapped them, so when Eliza reached this magical age I thought I'd do a page with all three of them at the same time.  It's so fun to look at pictures of the three of them at exactly the same age, just to see their differences and similarities.  At the time it seems like they are so big, but looking back now (even at Eliza, just a few months later), they just seem so little.  These kids are growing up way too quickly, if you ask me!

Materials:  PP -- Imaginisce (cloud background), Sassafrass Lass; Die Cuts -- Cricut Lyrical Letters; Rub-ons (black stitches) -- Doodlebug

The fruits of a very fun weekend...

This past weekend was such a blast. About every 6 months we have a Cricut SWARM -- a crop with a bunch of my online Cricut friends from here in the area. On Friday we cropped and shopped (well, mostly shopped) together at the Scrapbook USA Expo, then on Saturday we had a crop at a local scrapbook store. So fun! And amazingly enough, I actually got a ton done this time! My goal was to get a lot of scrapping done, since I've mostly been making cards lately.

I've been planning this lo since Eliza was a month old -- these are pictures from her month-day every month, ending up with this adorable pic on her 6-month birthday. I got the pics printed in B&W because the colors were all so different. There are three tags with more 6-month photos and journaling behind the big photo. The PP is from Basic Grey, and the flowers are from MM and Heidi Swapp. I cut the 6 with Base Camp at 3 1/2", and the letter stickers are from October Afternoon.

Aw, my cute little Josh. He is so afraid of my mom's big dog, Beau. Beau just a big puppy and thinks the boys are puppies, too, so he gets a little exuberant. Joshy usually runs straight in from the car to Nana's house, but one day he mustered his courage and told Beau to "SIT!" and he actually did it! I happened to have my camera out -- lucky day! The chipboard letters are from Scenic Route and rub-ons are from American Crafts. The paw prints are from the Cricut Paper Pups cartridge and the pp is from Basic Grey. I used embroidery thread to sew on all the buttons -- thanks again to my friend Amy for reminding me to stick the buttons down with glue dots before trying to sew them on -- sure saves a lot of hassle!

This one is not my favorite, but I was glad to get a lo with so many photos done! Last November we took a little ferry trip with my in-laws and it was so fun.

These last two are for my album about Dan and me. I usually just have one photo at a time, so I do this book in 8x8. This first one is our first couple picture, taken right when we started dating so Dan could show me off to him mum. We're so young! The pp is from Chatterbox, and the little branch dies are from Sizzix. I cut "Beginnings" at 1" with the Cricut Base Camp cartridge. I used a Heidi Swapp edge distresser for the edges of the paper -- it's my favorite cheap tool!

This pic is from only a couple weeks later, from the few days in between when Dan asked me to marry him and when I said yes. In my defense, we'd only been dating a couple weeks and he really took me off guard! :) There's a big long story that goes with it, which I think you'll be able to read better if you click on the pic and get the bigger version. The pp and chipboard letters here are from Scenic Route, and the ribbon is from SU (yay, Sale-a-bration!). Letter rub-ons are from American Crafts.

Of course, I couldn't leave cards out completely!

This one is an ATC (artist trading card) for our crop. I completely spaced the swap until I got there, so that was my first project of the day. I embossed the background with the Cuttlebug, then used my SU "Pocket Silhouettes" set and scallop and ticket corner punches to put together the rest. Phew!

This one was for our "Rummage Challenge," which I was in charge of. Each participant, before leaving home, was supposed to go to THAT PLACE in their scrapbooking area where supplies just pile up and get forgotten -- you all know what place I'm talking about! -- close their eyes, and rummage around. The thing they brought out was their main supply for the challenge, then I also rummaged in several of my areas and brought more supplies they could incorporate. It was cool to see how creative people could be! One of my rummaged supplies was a Mary Engelbreit desk calendar from 2002 -- I've kept it all these years because the illustrations were so wonderul and I knew I wanted to make cards from them someday. I picked this sweet quote and used scraps from my "Beginnings" layout to create this card. The label and scallop border punches are from SU.

I was half packed to go home when I decided I really wanted to finish just one more project, so I made up a few of these cute, quick cards. The background is embossed with the Cuttlebug, then I cut the scalloped oval with the Cricut Storybook cartridge. "Happy" is cut from Base Camp at 1". To make 5 quick cards, I loaded 5 scraps of bright adhesive paper on my mat and cut the word "happy" on each one. Then I just took one letter from each for each card. I outlined each oval and wrote "birthday" with a black marker. Easy peasy, and so festive!

Phew, you made it to the end! I had a blast this weekend, and it was wonderful to have so much to show for it. My kids thought the scrapbook pages were great -- they just love seeing themselves on layouts. Can't wait til our next SWARM!

Layouts at last!

I've been doing mostly cards and gift projects for quite a while, so I was so happy to get a few scrapbook layouts done. These three layouts are so different; it really makes me appreciate how scrapbooking can help us record so many different parts of our lives.

This one is me and my parents when I was right around one! I snagged this picture from my grandma's house when passed away, and it just makes me happy. I did this layout as a gift for my dad's birthday -- I started last year when I made him a layout and gave it to him in an 8 1/2 x 11 frame. This year I gave him a binder so he can put last year's layout in the binder and have this one in the frame. That way I know he'll look at it more! :) The size also makes it easy for me to make copies for myself. I'm planning on making lots more "blast-from-the-past" type layouts in the future.

Materials: PP -- SEI; letter rub-ons -- American Crafts; title letters -- CAC One Seventy font, cut with Cricut and Sure Cuts a Lot; ticket corner and scallop edge punches -- Stampin Up; Flower punches -- EKSuccess; Tab -- Cricut (Fab Finds)

I love the story behind this second layout -- just one of those little everyday funny stories that NEED to be scrapbooked! When Sammy was a couple months shy of 4, we were meeting my BIL Chad's girlfriend for the first time. He was 31 and his lack of success in the romance department up to that point was becoming a real sore spot with him (not to mention with my MIL and his grandma!). When Chad introduced Esther to Sammy, he looked at her in disbelief and said, "Esther, I thought you were IMAGINARY!" Yup, had to get that one down for posterity! This photo is from that weekend.

Materials: PP -- Scenic Route; Stamp -- Stampin Up (dotted line jumbo roll); acrylic arrow -- no idea

This last layout is not my favorite ever, I have to admit. I don't think I've ever made a Halloween layout I really loved. But this is the fun event type scrapping that I've been neglecting lately, so I was glad to get it done. It's also the last Halloween we had my little sis Carissa (that's her dressed as Princess Fiona), and she LOVED Halloween and trick-or-treating with her nephews, so I couldn't skip those pics!

Materials: PP -- K&Company; Glitter stickers -- Martha Stewart; Glitter -- Provo Craft; Title Letters -- Cricut (Printing Press)

I was going to show you some fab decorations I made for our Valentine's Dinner using my new Stampin Up goodies, but I left my camera at my mom's house. ARGH! So stay tuned -- more good things to come!

These little piggies!

It's been quite a while since I got some 12x12 pages done -- I've been mostly doing cards and mini-albums lately. But I just had to scrap these adorable pics of Eliza with her first pigtails! Isn't she just the cutest thing? It is so stinkin' fun to finally have a girl to play with and to scrap for!

This layout is yet another tribute to stash scrapping. I've had all these supplies for months or even years! I couldn't find background paper in my stash that worked for the feel I wanted, so I found a round foam stamp and painted the polka dots on myself. It turned out just as cute as I'd hoped! I drew the wonky scalloped square myself as well on an ooooooooolllllddddd piece of patterned paper I thought I'd probably never use. But it was perfect for this page! I painted the chipboard shapes and sprinkled them with transparent glitter. TFL

Supplies:
Felt and chipboard shapes: Fancy Pants
Patterned paper: Paper Pizazz
Cardstock: DCWV
Title letters: Cuttlebug Olivia alphabet
Pig: Cricut My Community Cartridge, cut at 3"

Sweet Eliza

You can see a larger version by clicking any of the images...

So my mom took my boys for a sleepover today and I thought Eliza's naptime would be the perfect time to clean the bathrooms... but instead I came into my office and finished this layout. Oops! Oh, well -- preserving our family history is more important than clean toilets, right?!

My big accomplishment with this particular project was figuring out how to add some "inking" to the edges of the photos and elements. I've struggled a little with digi-scrapping because it just didn't have the soft look I love with paper scrapping, which I usually add by doing things like inking the edges. This added a few steps, but I really loved the outcome. I bought this totally adorable digi-kit from the Shabby Princess shop. It's called Gabby, and I love it so much I think I may use it to redesign my blog. I LOVE their digi-kits -- they all have so many amazing elements. I also used this kit to create a little birth announcement for Eliza...

And while I'm on the subject of digi-scrapping, here's a layout I finished yesterday of this year's family reunion. This is another one for the album that I've given to my parents and all my siblings. We always have such a great time together -- I'm glad I can give everyone these layouts to remind them! :) This is another great Shabby Princess kit, called "Wonder."

Both of these layouts use Becky Higgins sketches. Love 'em!

A Little One is on the way! -- LO for BBTB

I love the New Arrival cartridge for the Cricut machine -- it's a must-have if you have any baby things to do at all. Our challenge over at Bitten By the Bug this week was to use the train cut. This layout isn't my favorite -- one of those things that just didn't turn out on paper the way it looked in your head -- but you should definitely check out all the other creations this week. The projects are just too cute, and a lot of them show how versatile this cart really is!

All the cuts here are from New Arrival. I sized the train in CDS, and I cut all the other little shapes at around 2". "Little One" is cut at 1 1/2". I use Making Memories paper, a Jolees flower on the baby, and some ric-rac. I sewed the mat for the picture to make a journaling pocket. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this lo -- I may use it for a picture from the baby shower my family is doing for me, or I may save it as a gift for someone else.

Family Fun -- layouts for our family album

I'm the only scrapbooker in my family (not for lack of trying to convert my mom and sisters, though!), so when I do pages of big family events, I scan them in and get copies printed for everyone in the family (Costco is a great resource for this, btw). I started doing this when my little sister went on a mission for our church, so she would have something fun when she was homesick, and also so she could introduce people to our happy, goofy family. Now that more people are growing up and spreading out, it's more important to me than ever. I love it! I scrap in 12x12, generally speaking, but the books I made for everyone else are 8x8 -- it's just easier and cheaper to print and ship all the pages that way.

My little brother Eric is just as camera happy as I am, and when we are both on a trip we end up with mountains of pictures -- hooray! He's also a very talented photographer, which is why some of these pictures are super nice and some are just run-of-the-mill (those would be mine...) That just leaves me with the dilemma of which to pick, so I always need a lo with tons of picture space. I couldn't do it with just one double-page lo in this case, so I did two almost identical layouts for the book.

I like to coordinate the colors of the pictures with paper and embellishments, but in this case nearly every pic had different colors! I also wanted something that reflected how much fun we had on this trip. I found this great striped paper in my stash (by My Mind's Eye, Magnolia stack) that definitely fit the bill. But I didn't want it to clash, so I mounted the photos on kraft paper (which reminded me of the sand on the beach at the lake). I also added some decorative stitching and used my Heidi Swapp edge-distressor on the kraft paper (love that tool!). The flowers are cut from some coordinating pp, and the title is cut with the Cricut Base Camp cartridge. I cut the journaling block with SCAL. TFL!

All sorts of goodies...

I have been busy-busy getting ready for the boutique on Saturday. It's my first try at actually doing something as a Memory Works rep, so I wanted to make it a good one. I chose a few of the collections and tools from the new catalog and decided to show just how many projects you could make with each the thing. Here we go!

From the Cosmo Cricket "Honey Pie" set:

This one also uses a "blackboard" album from Cosmo Cricket, Prima flowers, and "baby" is cut with the Alphalicious cartridge. I did the scallop edge with Threading Water. The inside pages are covered with paper, but no pictures because it's waiting for baby Eliza! (You'll notice this is a common theme with all these girly things.)

This altered frame is something I made for a challenge at the Cricut SWARM this past weekend. The flowers are from the George cartridge and the swirly thing in the background is from Joys of the Season.

I did this layout at the SWARM as well -- I love it when things come together quickly! I usually don't do layouts before I have pictures to put in them, but I'm sure I'll have lots of material once this baby makes her appearance!

This cute post-it note holder was our make-and-take at the SWARM.

I've posted this card before, but it goes with this set:

The next few projects are from the Cosmo Cricket "Cogsmo" line -- I just love the cute little robots on this paper! I'm still going to make a card or something with this collection.

This mini-album is another "blackboard" album from Cosmo Cricket. I gathered a bunch of fun pictures of the boys together that probably wouldn't have made it into other layouts -- just everyday stuff, but so fun! I cut the letters here from Zooballoo.

Here's a layout with the same papers, about Sammy's first "book."

And these are from the Autumn Leaves "Cuteworld Girl" set -- I can't even tell you how much I love this paper! So exciting to be able to do all these girly things! I've only used a few sheets from this set so far. I think tonight I'll make a card or two to go along with these.

A baby book for Eliza! I also used WIMG for the flowers, and I drew the little birdie with my pen tablet and cut it out with SCAL. "Eliza" is also done with SCAL.

This layout was super quick, very possibly my fastest ever! The big flower came that way in the paper set. I came together so fast, in fact, that I took a few extra minutes to add the new Doodlebug crushed velvet flock to the flower and leaves. It's hard to see here, but it's really cute IRL.

I also altered the front of this American Crafts album:

And, last but not least, this is the make-and-take I'll be doing. They'll be able to try two different stamps (both from Autumn Leaves), Primas, and the Cropadile, all things in the catalog. I think I'll ink the edges of the tag. I've never done a make-and-take before, but I wanted to make sure it was something quick and easy. What do you think?
