SAMS Second Anniversary

Happy birthday to Swinburne Anime and Manga Society (SAMS) again... =D
The second anniversary was held at Rain's house yesterday. As planned in the previous meeting, we decided to have a BBQ party to celebrate the anniversary.

Well, it was fun. I ate a lot until I'm so full... (I'm still very full while writing this post and feeling want to vomit) =.=ll

KAA Charity Fund Raising

Kuching Autistic Association (KAA) Charity Fund Raising was held at Boulevard on Sunday, 27th of July, 2008. Sorry for late update on this because I just got the photos from Serene yesterday. =.=ll

Anyway, the event was successfully... =D

A Busy Day

What? Busy?
Nah... Actually I'm not busy at all...
Anyway, I went to Enter-K in Crown Square with Onineko and Serene today.
Yup, this is my first time to K because I don't really like to go such place. In addiction, I don't know how to sing actually, therefore I never go to K before until today... =D
I believe Onineko and Serene were suffered a lot when I was singing this morning. Lol...
We have our lunch, together with the package as well.

After dinner, I watch a few episodes of drama, while waiting Sheng to fetch me to cinema.
Red Cliff is what we watched just now, together with KK.
Actually we wanted to watch The Dark Knight, but we thought that KK has watch that movie already. Therefore, we watched Red Cliff. Interestingly, KK told us that he hasn't watch The Dark Knight yet.
Then we all... --sweat--

Anyway, there will be an update on KAA's Charity Fund Raising event, which was held in Boulevard last Sunday, 27th of July, 2008.

China Earthquake Relief Effort - SAMS

Well, today is the first day of the charity, which is organized by The Spring.
Swinburne Anime and Manga Society (SAMS) has been invited to join this charity as well.

Haha, what was SAMS did in the charity today?
Yup! We did cosplay today.

waiting for those who want to take photos

Our main purpose to have cosplay today is to attract more people to donate money. Cosplayers will ask those who want to take photos with them to donate money before or after taking photos. That is a good idea, isn't it?

They did a very well job today by drawing anime or manga characters.
It was a "LIVE SHOW". Lol... Sound so wrong... Haha...

Beside those artists in the photo above, we have our Melvin and Serene as well. All of their work that has been sold will be 100 percent donate to the charity, which mean they do not get even 1 cent. XD

Okay, I think that's all for the updates. Please donate more to the victims in China Earthquake. Don't worry, this charity will be ended at 8th of June if you have not do so. =D

Anime Gathering

Anime gathering, organized by Swinburne Anime and Manga Society (SAMS) was held successfully tonight. There are some non Swinburne students who joined the gathering tonight. And I'm glad that SAMS has did the job well this time...

The gathering was started about 7.30pm. Everyone was sitting on their seat, and chatting with their friends. For me, I have meet my old school mate, who was the same table with me.

The first activity tonight was Ice Breaking. It's about the same as Treasure Hunting, mean while you've to talk to someone that you do not know to ask for help. We had collected most of the things which are stated in the list. But there has no winner at all...

After that, it was the dinner time. The food was delicious. I can say, well done, SAMS!
There was a performance between the guy after our dinner. They were arguing about the good things about their Light Saber, and Katana. It was quite fun and interesting.

Well, then there was a small forum talk about Anime and Manga here. Several people were chosen and have a small talk about anime and manga. But, it was end up with a debate... -.-"
Anyway, it was interesting, and attracted most of the audience tonight.

Rain was the middle man.

Next, the maids and butlers were choose several audience who full fill the requirement of the paper that they had picked up. And then, all of the audience were asked to dance on Hare Hare Yukai.

After dancing, every selected audience were given 2 movie ticket, including me... XD
Then, the gathering has reach to the end.

Well, all of you are welcome to join the gathering as long as you are the fan of anime or figurine / gundams collectors, and living in Kuching now. Do not worry, although you are not the student of Swinburne University of Technology (Sarawak Campus), you are still welcome to join the gathering too...

Hari Raya Visit Day

Time passes very fast. It is the third day of Hari Raya already.
Well, we have went to Anwar's house and also Videl today.
There are 4 cars went to visit their house, driver Keh Shiun, Anna, Chris, and me...
On the way to their house, they told me that I drive very slow... @_@"
But I believe I have drive very fast already... Lol...

My car was the last one, but we (passengers in my car) were the first one to arrive Anwar's house... XD

After they all have arrive to Anwar's house, we start to enjoy the food...

And then we have explore Anwar's house. His house has a small library, and a mini zoo of cats. According to my information gathered, there are 20++ of cats in the mini zoo.

After the exploration, we have gathered in the living room and chat with each other...

After that, we went to visit Videl's house... So sad that I did not take so much photos in Videl's house. All the photos I have are blur...

After that, we all go back home. Ok, that's all...

Swinburne Moon Cake Festival - Moon Light Fever

Swinburne Choir Club and Swinburne Anime & Manga Society have organised the Moon Cake Festival event. Well, it's more than hundred of students have attended it, and it was very successful. I'm sure many of the participator were enjoy it.

Wow... Auditorium was full with people...

The MC tonight was talk about the story of the moon cake. After that, Choir Club has sang a song.

And then we have our lantern making competition. But so sad that our group has not win any prize.

Next, we have play lantern, walk around the whole campus. Everyone was having fun, but I have saw many of the "broke" lantern on the road... Lol...

SAMS First Anniversary (Part 1)

Happy birthday to SAMS!!! Yeah... SAMS has been 1 year old already since yesterday, 21st of September 2007, which means SAMS was formed at 21st of September 2006. So, our society has a celebration at Rakutei Japanese Restaurant in Crown Square.

Celebration of Keh Shiun Birthday and Merdeka Day

Waow... What a tiring day...
It was our small celebration of Keh Shiun's Birthday yesterday.
(Actually his birthday was over already)
At the same, we planned to celebrate and stay at Serene's house for countdown of Merdeka Day.

Well, before we (SwatWolf, Kim, Serene, and I) go to take the cake at Sunflower cake house there, we saw a new car!!!

After that, we have arrived to Sunflower cake house there.
There are lots breads look very delicious, and we bought some breads too...

Yeah! SwatWolf has obtained a cake!


And look, what did we buy at there...

Wow... After SwatWolf has obtained the cake, we went to the Everise, which is located at the 4 and the half mine there to buy some junk foods and drinks, so we can have some junk foods when we celebrating at Serene's house.
The next destination, we went to Serene's house to put all of our stuff there...

Around 7.30pm, we went to Jalan Song to have our dinner, and so for the others. But we were extremely late...

Before we have arrive to Jalan Song, we went to fetch HK, and we saw something interesting again!

And then, after dinner, we gathered at Serene's house again! And everyone starting to play...

After that, it's our Wii time again. But some of us were playing Dota, and DS.
