Baby Liberty's Blessing!

We felt so lucky to be able to share such a special moment with Sarah and Darren and their family. We sure enjoyed getting to meet Liberty. Sarah and Darren have such a wonderful family and we enjoyed our time with them.

Swimming!

Sarah and Darren were so nice and heated their pool so the kids could enjoy an afternoon swimming.
No Fear! A couple jumps later he was spinning.
Our little mermaid! We are lucky both our kids love the water.

Is That A Unibrow?

Aubrey eating pudding. Why do I give her these things? What a mess!

A Day At The Beach

Even though we have been to San Diego many times with they kids they have never seen the ocean. We thought it would be fun for the kids to go play in the sand and pick up sea shells.
Porter's reaction to the waves coming up onto the beach. He loved it and it didn't take him long to get in the water.

Aubrey was a little scared at first. But after a little time she got right in there with the rest of the kids.

Porter loved playing in the sand and getting all muddy.
Cassidy and Aubrey are only a few months apart. They had fun playing together and Aubrey even got a little taste of her own medicine. When it is just her and Porter she pretty much rules the house. And so the power struggle began.

Both our kids ended up in the water. They both got taken by surprise when a wave came in.

Aubrey had a hard time with the sand on her feet and hands. She just doesn't like being dirty.

What A Good Brother!

Porter wanted so badly for Aubrey to go outside and play with him today, when she finally agreed, he decided to do what ever it takes to keep her out there. He must have pulled her around the yard for close to 25 min. All the while Aubrey just sat back and ate snow.

The Gang Is Back In Town!

Since Porter recently upgraded to the motorbike we thought we would let Aubrey try driving his Escalade. This is super scary because Aubrey pays no attention to where she is going, Nate has to walk along side her and kick the tire so she doesn't crash into the ditch etc.. Hopefully with a little practice she will soon be able to keep up with her brother.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Just a reminder that we Love You all! And are so blessed to have you in our lives.

I thought I would let the kids do a little arts and crafts today. Porter loves gluing, cutting, and drawing. Aubrey well she loves eating the markers.
This is what happen when I let my attention wander. Aubrey will eat anything!

Wee!

This use to be Porter's favorite pastime, but since he has gotten a little big to ride in the truck he has decided it is just as fun to push Aubrey back and forth. It is all fun and games until someone crashes into the wall!

I Can Do It!

If I let her this is what she would wear to Church. She loves her PJ's and would stay in them all day. I think she might have got that from me. The other Sunday Aubrey was determined to get herself dressed. This is what she came up with. PJ's, tights and church shoes.

Another Messy Day

I can not even remember what she was eating here, but boy did she enjoy it. Anytime I give her something that has the potential of being messy, she never lets me down! For being a girl she sure is messy alot.

Helping Dad!

Safety First! Tonight Nate took the kids out to the garage to complete one of the many honey do's I have on the list.
Aubrey helping daddy cut the wood. Porter let Aubrey go first to make sure it was safe!
Once Porter finally jumped in and gave it a try, he loved it! He could have been there all night.
Next came the painting! Uh! Actually, I was pleasantly surprised by how little they got on themselves. Aubrey doesn't like getting things on her hands, once she got paint on them she was done and could think of nothing else but washing them.
They did a great job! The finished project will be growth charts that we can take with us, this way if we build again we will not have to leave the charts behind.

Oh My Spaghetti!

And the race was on. Tonight while we were eating spaghetti we decided to have a little noodle sucking contest. Both Porter and Aubrey did well. The great part is they both ate a ton because they liked racing. Aubrey's white shirt might have been a bad choice!

Where is Jim?

Since I am using this as a way to journal as well as keeping all our friends and family up to date. I am going to also start adding funny stories things the kids did or said that I don't want to forget.
For almost a year and a half now Porter has had an imaginary friend named Jim. Jim use to be around all the time. Porter would talk with him on the phone and even once tried to blame Jim for something he did. But in the last month or so I have not heard much about Jim. So today well eating lunch I asked Porter, "where is Jim?" He looked at me for a moment and said, "Jim went on a Mission." I thought this to be an absolutely blog worthy moment. Hopefully Jim is being a good example and some day Porter will follow in his footsteps.

Free Falling

You might be wondering what in the world Porter is doing. If you have ever been to a Griz Game you have seen the skydivers drop into the stadium. Beside Monte this is one of the highlights of the game for Porter. We always have to make sure we are early, because if we miss them he is very upset. Now every time he hears the song Free Falling by Tom Petty he runs to the pantry grabs a grocery sack and skydives off the couch.

Mommy Aubrey Date

Nate and I decided we needed to start spending one on one time with each child. So tonight when Nate brought Porter to a wrestling match I took the time to go out with Aubrey. We went to Perkins for dinner, I know I went all out. But they make the best milkshakes and Aubrey loved the whip cream and sprinkles on top. She was having so much fun and giving me such great lovings I couldn't resist taking a picture of her giving me a nice wet kiss. Porter and Nate had fun too! Porter came home and couldn't wait to show off the new wrestling moves he had picked up. Maybe he will take after his Dad and Uncle Bryan and be a wrestler or better yet maybe he will become a champion in the UFC and make us a lot money.

Potty Time

Aubrey has been showing interest in the potty recently and tonight after bath she decided to sit on the potty and try.
When she realized she had gone pee, her reaction was priceless.
She was so proud of herself and couldn't wait to share the news.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We hope you all have a wonderful 2009. May it be filled with love and laughter.
We are so lucky to have my parents close by, we missed them over Christmas but feel very lucky to be able to spend the New Year with them.

OK, so my mom thought it would be fun for the kids to have a silly string fight. I am not sure who had more fun, the kids or the grown-ups? Porter thought it was so much fun making such a mess of the house.

Eight cans of silly string later we were all covered in sticky goo!

Why We Have Kids!

OK, so we have got a ton of snow. I think we have over 2ft and it is suppose to snow the rest of the week. It seems like every time Nate gets the driveway clear it starts snowing again. So he is teaching Porter how to do it! Actually, Porter loves to help daddy it is the highlight of his day. Maybe next year he will be able to see over the top.
