I'm a little emotional today for some reason. I heard something on t.v. refer to moms as the "world's most valuable resource" and I literally teared up a little. Awwww, shucks...Really? Ok. I guess I do see it. :)
Brody went to the doctor yesterday and I found out my eight-month-old still weighs only 15 pounds! He actually lost a little from the last visit, so I'm having to take him back in 2 weeks for a weigh in. And for every month until he is a year to make sure he is gaining enough. I have been feeding him every two hours. Here is how it goes: nurse, real food, juice or bottle, nurse, real food, juice or bottle, nurse, real food, juice or bottle...you get the picture. If he doesn't gain then we will have to run some tests so let's just hope he does!!
And now a little story to pass the time:
Last week I decided to be a true American and buy some girl scout cookies on my way out of Wal-Mart. It took me an extremely long time to decide which ones I would buy, and I decided on some caramel kind, Thin Mints, and Tagalongs. I put all three in a row inside my shopping cart and walked to the car. After buckling the kids in, I turned around to put the cookies in the front seat so I could open them on the way home, and I noticed my Tagalongs were missing. I checked by the carseats. I checked the trunk. I checked the ground. I checked my purse. They were nowhere to be found! My conclusion: someone actually walked by and snatched the Tagalongs out of my cart while I was busy putting my kids in the car. Why would they do that? I don't know. Especially with the Thin Mints right next to them. But at least they left my wallet and phone alone!!
And if the person who took them is somehow reading this: So. Not. Cool.
Also, I'm trying a not-new-but-new-to-me Love and Logic thing with Zack and so far it is working SO AWESOME!!!!!!! If it still is working in a week, I'll give some tricks and tips from the book. Yipeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Love that quote about moms....so true. Mark and I were just talking about getting a love and logic book so I can't wait to hear how it has worked for you!
So strange about the cookies. What kind of person would snatch girl scout cookies? And Love and Logic is awesome. I'm a big fan!! Good luck!
Agreed, so not cool on the Girl Scout Cookies! Those things are addictive! Yum!
Yes, def. keep us updated on the Love & Logic books. Do they have them on audio?! ;)
A friend of mine in TX. loves those books & has talked highly of them.
Best wishes with it all!
I hope that brody gets some weight on him!! how stessful for you! Grace lost alot of weight when she was first born and all i did was feed all day! its hard work!!! and how horrible that your cookies were gone!!!
oh and i found the 'bruce' dvd the other day! it made me miss you! it was so long ago!!!
Stole your cookies? Are you serious? Those must have been some GOOOOD cookies! lol.
You are the best mom -- I also love that book. I think Brody needs rice and beans...at least, that's what the missionaries blame their weight gain on. I hope he's all right. And...ok...I confess, I beamed over from Brazil & took your cookies.
:)
I want to borrow the book if you think it works!!
That is so crazy about your girl scout cookies. Hopefully they were just lost and not stolen. I do remember how much you loved girl scout cookies. (: Wish we lived closer to each other. I miss hanging out with you.
I just started reading Love & Logic and really love it...although I have yet to try anything haha. BUT I told Tony today that we are trying the theories out starting today because I'm tired of picking food off the floor! I'm really hoping it works!
The story about your girl scout cookies is just wrong!
What is this love and logic business? I've never heard of it... And the cookie story, wrong on sooooooo many levels!
