February 10, 2011

I know... December is long passed. In my defense, I am really confused about the time of year. It is usually 70-78 degrees outside. How is one supposed to keep track of time with the weather playing tricks on my mind.
Our home owners association puts on a Winter Wonderland Christmas party at the beginning of December. I don't know how they got the snow but the kids enjoyed it.
Sadly, they knew it would be there only chance to go sledding this year.
Tyler's sister and her family had a vacation planned to Disneyland before we knew we were moving to California. We tagged along.
Landry does not like Splash Mountain. He is only smiling because he is happy the ride is over.
Landry has burrowed himself as close as he can to me in order to stay safe. I wish I could see his face in the picture. Kailey's reaction is pretty great.
We were lucky to find Santa at California Adventure.
Addie thought he looked a little young.
Cousin picture in front of the gigantic tree in California Adventure.
We really had a great time. It was so fun spending time at Disneyland with the Turpins. My niece Kailey had already been on Tower of Terror once and decided she was never doing it again. After a lot of persuasion, I convinced her to try it with me. I was pretty sure she was going to throw up waiting in line. This picture on the ride is one of my favorites.
They love to go on this ride with Dad because he makes them spin so fast.
Kolby is starting to pose for the ride pictures since he now knows when they are coming.
Kailey and Addie really enjoyed hanging out with each other.
Hopefully, they will come back so we can do it again!
We have a man made lake in the middle of our subdivision. At Christmas, the people who live around the lake decorate their houses. We took the Turpins out on the lake to look at all of the lights.
After so many days at Disneyland everyone was a little crazy.
Trying to keep Landry under control.
It was nice to have so many Christmas lights around to help us get in the Christmas spirit. The kids and I tried to take a lot of walks around the lake to see the lights while they were up.
Preparing for Santa on Christmas Eve.

So many things...What happened to Kolby's arm? Poor Landry and Kaylie, being forced on rides! Your home looks beautiful! I thought that Santa looked rather jolly. I want to come to Disneyland now, just because you guys are such pros, knowing when the pictures are coming and everything. Mostly, I just want to come down for a visit. Miss you guys. You are always welcome up here, too! I can't offer theme parks, but I do have wild burros, koi fish, and maybe some sand boarding. :)

Hey guys! Looks like you guys had a blast in December - and you're home is lovely! Wish I could see more of it - and you guys too!(: Thanks for the adorable notes you guys sent us in the mail. You're so sweet. Jude likes looking at the picture of his cousins (I'm always showing him pics in the family calendar).

Amy - Good point. The Santa in Disneyland had a real beard. There was also a HUGE mob waiting to see him. We walked right up. This Santa was in California Adventure. Apparently, they think they can get away with something over there. I have heard the Santa in Disney's Grand California Hotel is the best. We will have to hit that next year.

Sara - Kolby had a small fracture or really bad sprain. The orthopedic surgeon could not tell but said he treats both the same. Kolby tripped. He was only in the cast for two weeks. Someone told me there are rare and beautiful flowers somewhere in Death Valley during the middle of the summer. The Germans come to see them. Maybe we should hit that... or not.

Is that an orange cast on Kolby's arm??? Looks very familiar.
Your home looks beautiful, you should take some more pictures.
I think they blew the snow in with an ice truck, they did it at Kaden's school this year.
Hope everything is going well for you guys!

DUDE! Your house is AMAZING! I want to see the whole thing. Photos please! And I'm so jealous of your super closeness to Disneyland and all the other awesome California hot spots. I miss you and am kicking myself for not spending more time with you while you were here in Utah. Duh. That was a mistake. Love ya.
