Silvery Warm Wishes

I'm back with more trash to treasures! Well, really clean-up cards from the leftover bits on my desk :) I can't remember what I was trying to do when I cut all these thin strips of foiled snowflake vellum, but whatever it was, it was a fail! Then the pieces waited on my desk for another idea to come up.

I decided to keep it simple and adhered them to a card from in stripes with the center stripe embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. Then I wrapped some silver thread around the card above and below the sentiment strip. This could a Christmas card, or any winter occasion card!

What do you think? Is this something you would like to make in a class?

As always, here is the list of products I used. Please feel free to place an order with me, and support my habit ;)

Glorious Poinsettia Card

This card uses a stamp set that I could not live without a couple years ago, and then did not use but a couple of times. Then this fall, Dave from Dies by Dave on StoreEnvy made coordinating dies! Oh, my, be still my heart! I went a little crazy making poinsettia stuff. And I had to share them with my stamping friends at my monthly Stamp Class. There is one more session of this class on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015 at 6:00pm at the Bemidji Hobby Lobby. Contact me to reserve your spot!

There is watercoloring and heat embossing on this card, Perfect Pearls for some shimmer, and some Viva Decor Paper Pen in gold for the flower centers.

Since this set came with such a great pair of sentiments, I used one on the from and one on the inside! Perfection!

This card is one of the alternate projects for the Stamp Class. Come back in a couple days to see what else we do with it! Now the stamp set is retired, but there are lots of other poinsettia sets out there, including a lovely on in the Holiday Mini. But all of the other supplies are current, please check them out here.

Don't forget to Contact Me to reserve your spot in the November Stamp Class!

Seize the Snowman!

There is enough snow in my yard already to make a snowman, and maybe on my next day off I will get a chance to make one. Hmmm, that sounds like so much fun! Maybe a snowball fight with the guys :)

This fun color combo form Colour Q was a bit of a challenge for me at first. I turned it over in my mind for a day or two. But then it all clicked.

And this sketch from Seize the Sketch has inspired a couple of thoughts for cards, and they may show up again soon!

I have been wanting to play with this snowman for more than a week, and this just seemed to be the right time. I am so glad! He is such a cheery fellow.
