After 2 years of silence, Kanwar Gill, aka “The Son of a Sardar” is ready to release his homegrown project, featuring the vocals of Ladla with a track titled Teer. This track mixes Kanwar’s in your face hip hop style with traditional Punjabi vocalist, but this time for a dharmik tune. Music is co-produced by Trax and Harvi Bhachu. Together they have put together an amazing tribute to the Late Amar Singh Chamkila.

After the huge success of “Son of a Sardar” with Tigerstyle and a big feature on Jazzy B’s Rambo album, including the title track “Rambo”, Kanwar is looking to shake things up with a solo project. For over a decade Kanwar has lit up stages through out California and the entire World with his dynamic vocals, mixing up a western style with Punjabi poetry. He is truly one of pioneers of the Urban Desi movement.

A Traditional, Folk Punjabi vocalists with a soothing voice from the San Francisco Bay Area. Ladla has had the opportunity to open shows for many big name Desi artists such as Apache Indian and Bobby Friction. With nearly 2 decades of singing and musical experience, Ladla is ready to make his mainstream debut with “Teer,” as well as his debut solo album.
