Our Favorite Fords

Image
As part of our super long trip to Utah we got to stop and see our favorite fords. Kurtis was one of Brian's mission companions way back in the day in Argentina, and later one of his roommates when he got back from his mission. After Kurtis and Meg got married they were our favorite couple friends, so when we grew up and moved away from BYU and they did too we were more than a little sad that they ended up in Albuqurqe and we ended up in Dallas. Now things have changed a bit and they live slightly outside ABQ and we live in Austin, but still we are 600+ miles apart. But as luck would have it ABQ is just about halfway between Austin and SLC, so we were able to stop and see them on the way to Emily's wedding and on the way home. We will have to go back again soon, it was so fun to see them and their three sweet boys! I didn't get any pictures from our trip on the way there, but let's just say we had a blast. Meg cooked amazing meals (as usual, she is so talented), Mic

Grandparents!

We got to see Brian's grandparents the evening before we left Utah. We wish that Grandma Suker had also been there to meet Zach and chat too, but we know she was there in spirit.  Zach and Grandpa Suker share a birthday, they are exactly 88 years apart. They also share a middle name. She has been following him on the blog all these months. I hope he was as cute in person!  I love that I am awkwardly standing with my head cut off in every one of these photos. I will have to do a little bit of photoshopping...  Zach liked Grandma Denny, he was quite chatty.  Look at the smiley kid.  Mikey joined in too, though he wasn't quite as smiley and chatty as his brother.  Zach tried to chat with mikey too.  Grandma Denny was so nice to br

The Wedding Part 3

So Emmy got married.  We stayed in a hotel the night before the wedding so we wouldn't have to worry about parking or traffic. Her sister in laws came and helped get her ready. They used all these makeup terms we hadn't heard of, she was beautiful (she always is) so they did a great job.   We were running a few minutes behind so we decided to walk/run to the temple. This would have been great except for a few slight issues. First, em forgot her shoes, so she had to borrow my extra flats. Luckily I was prepared and had flats. Second, because I am not gifted at wearing heels i was a bit slow. third, the road/sidewalk between city creek and the temple isn't all flat, lots of it is cobblestone or something like that, I twisted my ankle on the way. it was great, but I kept running (bad). after the luncheon i took off the flats heels and walked to the car barefoot, the car was far and i burned my feet. so many bad feet decisions.  so here emily is running towards the
