Gender Reveal Party

I'm so excited to finally get to share with you the pictures from our party! Our sweet friend Maura who has Maura Dawn Photgraphy and Eugene Grace Weddings offered to snap some gorgeous photos of the party.

The reason I decided to go ahead and do a gender reveal party is because I felt like going all out! This may be our 1 and only child and I wanted to celebrate with a lot of close friends and family that have been on our journey with us from the beginning. It was also a way to just say thanks for all the prayers!
I decided to go with a brunch theme since I wanted to have it first thing Saturday morning! I knew I wouldn't be able to hold it in that whole day.

The only girly gift that was given! Camo of course for Marc's sake!

I loved everything about the party. I decided I love party planning. I could have gone a lot further with the details but thought that may be over the top since it was just a gender reveal party. I really wish I would have made food labels and given party favors but basically I just ran out of time and I really had less than 24hrs from finding out to pull this thing off! So with what time I had, I felt pretty good about everything. I got most of the decor from Hobby Lobby and Party city. I thought about the way to actually reveal it for weeks and decided to go with the pinata idea. It was fun for everyone (although not everyone got to whack it) but it kept it suspenseful! I wanted everyone to line up in Team Blue or Team Pink which was dependent upon what they wore that day! It was split pretty evenly. The lines never actually formed and it was mainly chaos, but super fun chaos!
I was thankful to have all of our parents there and other close friends travel from all over attend. I felt very, very loved. Thank you to all that came and helped me pull it off!

Next up I will tell you how we found out the night before! 2 days I will never forget.

Rustic Glam baby shower

I completely forgot to post about this shower that I helped host for my friend Aubrey a few weeks ago. The infamous Katie Henry outdid herself once again with the planning of a  perfect shower for Aunt barbie (that is what most kids call her!) Baby Shepherd will be here soon, so it was a blast showering her before he gets here. I have known Aubrey for years. We grew up at Fellowship in Little Rock, she is the main reason I was a pi phi, she and Josh are in our community group and she has been my hair stylists for over 7 years now! She is an amazing person and I'm so thankful to have her in my life.

It was a blast to be a part of this amazing shower and I can't wait to meet baby Shepherd soon!

Christmas with a mission...Party

We had Marc's work Christmas party last week and it was such a blast. Their annual Christmas party is called, "Christmas with a Mission" because they invite all their ministry partners to come. Marc's company graciously supports several missionaries and local organizations. They give out presents to only the ministry partners and make it super fun for them. Here are few pics from this years party. This was our 5th one to attend. They had a "big band" and a swing dance instructor.

 the office was decorated gorgeous!

It was a blast. Unfortunately, I don't love dancing and Marc does. I tried it for about a second, but after missing the first 3 steps, I opted out of learning the rest. Oh well, sorry honey, maybe next time.

Hope you all are having a blast at all of your Holiday parties! I know we have been.

Hog Wild Graduation

I headed to Little rock last Wednesday night to help my mom throw a fun graduation party for my sis! I called up my friend Katie to see if she could help us throw some things together for a fun Hog party. Since Meg is coming to the U of A, we thought that would be a fun theme. Katie definitely out did herself on the extra special details for Meg.
Check out all the fun details of the party on Katie's new site HERE!
She is so talented and I'm so excited for her that she is starting her own business. Take a look and I promise you will be impressed!

Hope everyone had a fabulous Memorial Weekend! I know I did at the lake!

Girls Weekend

This past weekend I headed to OKC to throw a lingerie/bachelorette party for one of my best friends. Liz is getting married in June, so we thankfully found a weekend to all meet there and celebrate her. We were staying at a hotel, and obviously the room was too small, so we reserved a boardroom at the hotel and made do. I think it worked out okay.

It was a great time and fun to see some friends that I haven't seen in awhile. We are so excited for Liz and this next chapter in her life. We are thankful to be able to celerate with her!
