Sneak Peek: Raindrops on Roses

Here is just a taste of Rebecca and Geritt's real wedding, based on a play on words we took from the song "These Are a Few of My Favorite Things." Our inspiration for the concept came from Rebecca's love for cooking, roses and Gerritt. We wanted to highlight some of their favorite things, and turned to the classic song from the 1965 film The Sound of Music to inspire us and it lead us in a really fun direction.

Check back tomorrow for all of the details, from raindrops on roses, to girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes, crisp apple struedel and more!! In the meantime, you can revisit their playful engagement shoot with photographer Jamie Hammond, here!

An Indian Wedding: video feature

We're happy to share with you a video sneak Peek of Shraddha & Hitesh's wedding we did this year at The Darlington House!!

The lovely folks over at Zelo Photography and Video also just let us know that the video has been featured on Maharani Weddings: A Haven for South Asian Brides.

It was our first traditional Indian wedding, and we learned so much about their amazingculture... and are grateful to be included on such a reputable Indian site! Thanks to Zelo for their awesome work! The quality of their camera is amazing and combined with their talent, the end result is a video that looks and feels just like a movie.

I think my favorite part of the video has to be the shots of all the beautiful guests during the ceremony. There is something so stunning about all of the bright, rich colors of the women's saris...completely striking. I also love the dancing in the street before the ceremony began :) It was extremely hot that day, but the guests didn't let that stop them! Can't wait to share the rest of the
details and more of their reception!

Sneak Peek: Megan & Brendan

Meet the Toblers! Good people! Some of the best. Maybe some of you remember them from Kristin and Chris' Parisian wedding HERE. We had such a great time with that wedding! I had the chance to work with them again for the second wedding in their family and of course it was a pleasure as always. I love when I get to work with the families again after having had time to get know and love them the first time around. Megan is clearly a beautiful addition to the family too.

More pictures and details soon to come from Brendan and Megan's bold black and white damask wedding.

Sneak Peek: Toby & Amy

So...I'm currently working on getting the pictures together to share with you that Jason McGrew just got to me of Toby and Amy's wedding. I can't believe it was only last month that I was working on this in Utah...that week seems like a lifetime ago already. I'll have lots more details to share with you, but...In the meantime, here is a sneak peak of what is to come! I got these little teasers from michelle and the delightful girls over at Whimsy, who are responsible for the gorgeous flowers. More to enjoy soon!

sneak Peek: Kirsten & Michael

...some feather's, some fans, lots of cake and a little damask with a touch of opulence and a gorgeous bride, transformed this wedding in to a Marie Antoinette affair to remember! Many Thanks to
Jamie Hammond and Natalie Norton for being there to capture it all! for a few more take a look at the slideshow at:

The bride looked more lovely than ever and wore her mother's wedding gown, being so fitting that she was married on her parent's anniversary.

It was a beautiful evening and just how I had imagined it would be....perfect in every way...other than the phone call I received during the reception, from our neighbor, that our house was flooding and water was pouring into our neighbor's garage! Ugggh! Luckily, my husband was on hand to run home and assess the damage. Crazy to be somewhere so beautiful, while at home our house was being torn apart. So it goes sometimes! These pictures just brightened my day though..so I thought I would share. More to come in my featured gallery soon!

sneak peek: Lauren & Russ

Jamie Hammond photography delivers again! No, Jaime's baby is not quite here yet....but, Russ & Lauren's pictures are! Yeah! So quick on the turn around time Jaime! Here are a few images from the day that I thought I thought I would share from last week's wedding. I loved the dragonfly in Lauren's bouquet that mimicked the touches of dragonflies and butterflies throughout the reception. So pretty and feminine. I think this picture of Lauren's veil blowing in the breeze though is going to be one of my very favorites from the day. It reminds me of the romantic breeziness feel of the event and how all the butterflies in the tree were softly blowing with the wind.

The yellow against the crisp green bridesmaid dresses was a perfect compliment too. I kept wanting Rebecca (the maid of honor) to stand next to the yellow and cream tent...just because she looked so cute next to it! Here is a picture below to prove it!

The wish jar was also a lot of fun and a great alternative for a traditional sign-in book. The jar was quickly filled with notes from friends and loved ones offering advice and wishes (of course, on stamped dragonfly cards).

I will be adding a few more featured weddings to my website soon. Keep a lookout for more pictures from this one.
