Random...

We are having reading time (quiet, alone) each day after lunch for 45 minutes around here.  The kids have to do summer reading and a project for school, so that helps my case with the kids about reading this summer.  It has become a favorite part of my day and the kids as well.  They even told me that today. The three big kids love to read, thank goodness, but unless I 'encourage' them to sit and read in the middle of the day, it won't happen.  Loving this.  Will is currently reading Stink books, Kendall is into random mysteries, and Luke is reading some of Gordon Korman's books.  Bo and Noah do puzzles or 'read' to themselves during this same time.

Now for some catch-up pictures...

Rainy has the most annoying habit of dumping her food bowl over to eat her food like that.  I need to super glue her bowls to the floor!  She eats every bite though.

I don't think I ever put these teacher pictures on here from the last day of school.

This was Kendall's teacher for the last couple months of school while Mrs. Cisar was on maternity leave.  Mrs. Grise.  She was wonderful!

Mrs. Cisar came back on the last day of school to see the kids off for summer.  Love her too.

Mr. Alexander.  Luke loved his 4th grade year with this guy...

I've put this on here before, but this is Mrs. Thomas...

Over Memorial Day weekend, the three big kids and Geoff slept out on the trampoline.  It was a perfect temperatured night for that.  People were setting off fireworks that night too, so that was sort of fun to hear/watch for them.

I have some funny pictures I took of them before they went to sleep, but Luke is sporting just his boxers, so I'm not sure I should post them.  He said he doesn't care, but ya know.  Anyway, here they are once they went to sleep...

G came in for a little while once they went to sleep, and came in early that morning for some good bed sleep.  They were fine out there without him...which surprises me because they are such scaredy cats sometimes.

Zoe trying to make her way in.  Geoff said she went nuts all night jumping all over the place.  Crazy cat.

Luke had day #2 of baseketball camp today.  He is enjoying it.  I am glad K and him get to do camps, but I am SO ready for some normal weeks where we have no place to go.
