A Day With That Red Furry Monster
Madeline has a very strong affection for that lovable furry monster known as Elmo. Don't you love the tutu?! It was made by a friend of mine that I used to work with a LONG time ago. Now she's all grown up and creating cute and adorable kid stuff! Her shop is here.Funny how kids pick what they like. Lillian was SO into the Wiggles and when Madeline was born, we assumed that we'd be pulling out those tapes again. Strangely, she had no interest in anything expect Elmo and the occasional story about the monkey and the man with the yellow hat!Our little girl loves to jump so an Elmo bounce house was the perfect activity for her. She was jumping all over, singing, "Happy Birthday to Me...Happy Birthday to Me!"
Lillian had some of her girlfriends there too! As I took these shots of them, I realized that they are not even "little" girls anymore. How did that happen so quickly?!
These were her invitations. I loved the idea of the red fur envelopes, but I was covered in it by the time I was done! I'm heading over to put some of these in my shop, as birthday cards, but also as invitations. Some of you may know one of my other hats is that of a children's party planner. Business for all inclusive parties have slowed, so at least I can offer bits here and there. :)
I'm off to hug my baby girl...she's growing up too fast!

Priceless
By the way, the clutter in the background is mine...sorry! BUT it is CRAFTING clutter, so that makes it okay, right? Awesome Guy built me a MoNsTeR crafting table which I will one day show you. It is only 19" deep, but unfolds into a gigantic play space that will hold all three of my sewing machines set up at once AND room in the middle to play. There is storage too of course! We took the bed of out the guest bedroom and I had a studio for 2 or 3 months before I got pregnant (planned, just didn't know when) and we turned that room into Lil's room.
Phew...losing my breath! lol My point is that my fabulous table is now scrunched under the breakfast bar in our kitchen and since I don't have the closet anymore, all the supplies are stashed under, over, and around. lol Yet another reason I am trying to use the supplies I have before buying more, but in the end, I end up buying supplies to finish the projects I started with the supplies I had!
Haha! That was a ramble if I ever saw one, but that is just the kind of mood I'm in right now.
HUGS to all my ArTiStic Ladies! :)

Somewhere, Over the Rainbow, Madeline had her first birthday party!
Oh my baby...she's growing up! I know everyone says this but it went so fast! Makes the moment bittersweet, you know? She had a wizard of oz party, small, some family, some friends, lots of fun! We spent the whole week building a puppet stage and rehearsing with the cousins, good times :) I had bought the rag dolls for her off of ebay a long time ago and they were the perfect puppets.
These are things I made for her room...that is a real clock! Can you guess what it is made of?
There is a diploma too, but not finished. If you guessed paper clay, you are right!
Here is Grammie and Madeline Mae, just before the show starts. She hung in there for all but the last ten minutes...pointing at the dolls, talking to them. She loves puppets!
And bubbles....
Don't we all love bubbles? Glinda bubbles that is? :)
Madeline became curious and wanted to see just who was behind that green curtain. Why it's the cousins! Not to mention, a fun microphone too! She sang along. :)
This was NOT the original cake...it was supposed to be oz, yellow brick road, and poppies. It was a pineapple, and she didn't know what poppies were. Good thing I had the mini ruby slippers on a paperclay brick or else you would think it was the 4th of July!
These were the favors...bluebird sachets. I am throwing on into the giveaway! A little present from my baby....
She is still a baby, right?
