....just when i had given up all hope

of finding any vintage kitsch christmas cuties

 in my local charity shops.....

 

 

....who should walk into my life????
 

....i just hadn't met him yet....
 

.....but it was swooning love at first sight of course.....

....i think i may even have gasped a little....

....but i have since discovered
a certain arrogance in his swagger....

.....that is masked by his charming good looks.....

.....and polka dotted pipe cleaner legs....

.....first he tried to hang out in my squirrel themed tree..
..but his constant gags about their 'nuts' wore a little thin....

....he then upset the deer...

.....and attempted to pinch the top slot

by chatting up the christmas tree fairy....

 

....and this was just a step too far!

...after a few quiet words....

....i have found his home....

 

...where he can be king of the swingers......

 

....and he's feeling good!

...thank heavens for little girls.....

...having a daughter is the perfect excuse

for indulging in a few little

 kitsch accessories..... 

....i wouldn't get away with these 

in my bedroom....

....there's only so many critters 

one husband can take at a time...

...and different levels of tolerence..

(ie. old bears=yes....pink plastic dolls=no)

...but these little guys slip nicely 

into my daughter's room 

without being noticed.....

....i can't bear to walk away

from little lost faces....

...which does result in a surplus of little

lost people needing new homes..

....so the sun came out to play at last...

...and i have been very busy...

....having coffee...

 ...lots of work-related meetings of course..

 ...just relocated to local coffee establishments...!

that fitted my deers perfectly...

...i decided they all needed one...

..and set to work...

...so once she was fitted and finished...

....i delivered her and some other

squirrel makes to the lovely

who is so kindly stocking my wares...

ruby is in Lyme Regis...

..so poor me had to spend the day there...

(more coffee...2 cups..oh and lunch too)

....such a chore....

(so beautiful on the beach today!)

..and look at these poor lovelies..

...being sold by the beach...

....very hard for me to walk on by!

...because i have lots of new lovely girls
