Making a Chain

We've been trying to sell our house in Philadelphia off and on for the past 8 years. Well we finally got an offer last month! With a closing date in less then a month from now! (We made a chain)
I will admit I was a little worried since the house is so old. We knew it was structurally sound when we lived there, but there is just something about being 80 years old that can cause that to change. We passed the home inspection with just a few requests for minor repairs. We also did well on the appraisal,(considering the mortgage the buyers have is really picky I was thrilled!) we just had a few more requests for minor repairs as well. In fact, it was appraised at quite a bit more then we were selling it for. We decided to sell at a loss to attract more buyers in that price range and offer them a great deal.  We also wanted to avoid capital gains tax on any profit that we would have to pay since we haven't lived there in so long.
It's been a long process, I've learned a lot. Mostly I have come to believe in miracles even more then I already did. Heavenly Father will take care of you if you follow him and keep his commandments the best you can.
We have been having playdates...Carmen had a friend that has come home with us after school a few times. They had a lot of fun with makeup as you can see from Carmen's appearance. Then another day I sat up at the kitchen table and listened to these two little 8 year old girls in the basement singing "THIS GIRL IS ON FIRE" at the top of their lungs. They sounded awesome. They also sang multiple songs from Moana.
Nadia is all registered for Kindergarten in August. The school is also having a Pre-K summer school program for four weeks in June. I am still wondering how I am going to separate Nadia from her bags of stuffed animals and blankies that she wants to take everywhere....lol.
I jokingly told Nadia a few months ago that she was my little monkey. She took it seriously and has been talking about monkeys every since. We were in the car the other day and had this conversation that went something like this:
Nadia: Can I have a pet monkey for my birthday
Me: Monkey's are supposed to stay in the Zoo.
Nadia: Can I get a stuffed monkey? I'll pretend it's my pet...
lol
We had a Scholastic Book Fair and they encouraged all the kids to make one of their favorite book characters out of a potato. Carmen did the hungry, hungry caterpillar. Jared did Captain Underpants, and Lillian did a turtle in honor of "One Tiny Turtle." They turned out super cute...
Since Lillian has turned 10 we have been giving her opportunities to babysit. I had parent teacher conference and Eric wasn't going to be home yet so Lilli watched the kids for an hour. She made certificates for those did behaved well... They said "Did a perfect job while Mom was gone"
Apparently Jared had a few struggles....he didn't get a certificate.

I am SOOOOO excited for you all! It will be so nice not to have the house weighing you down. I am sure you will feel so much lighter when everything is closed on the house. \../
