Midas Dekkers!

It's national book week this week and Midas Dekkers, one of my favourite writers, had written a special essay for the book week which has animals as theme this year.

Midas Dekkers is a biologist who writes a lot about animals.

He was signing this book and others today at the local bookstore so my owner and I went there to get his essay and an autograph.

Midas Dekkers turned out to be a really nice and cool person.

He posed with me for this really cool picture and he was very interested in me, asking all kinds of questions and he signed his essay for me ofcourse.

Here it is!
It's called 'Piep, a small biology of the letters' (well something close to that anyway).
It's about the lack of animals in literature.

And just between you and me: I might even get on tv as someone from a local tv station filmed me and Midas Dekkers. Going to watch the local channel later today.


After the signing we went to the grocery store. We passed the statue I showed you awhile ago and I just had to show it again as I think it looks beautiful at the moment with all the blooming flowers.


Lastly: I know I didn't blog again yesterday, but I was busy playing games again:

Cluedo, Vampire and Nosferattu

Today was a day of playing games.

This morning I played Cluedo Breinbreker (Cluedo/Clues Brainbreaker).

It's a game you can play alone and it's all about logic. You have to find the murderer by reading clues and logically finding out who was with the victim at the time of the crime. It's fun and I solved lots of murders.

This afternoon we had visitors and we played 'Vampire, the eternal struggle', a collectable cardgame. It was a very long and exciting game: we played for more then 5 hours.

One guy who always takes part in any game of 'Vampire, the eternal struggle' is this guy: Nosferattu.
Everyone wants him to be on their side because when you have Nosferattu on your side you're usually winning.

Koethulhu, Orange Guy and other stuff

Didn't post yesterday, because by the time I got something cool to tell it was already very late so no time for blogging as we had to get up early today as my owner and I had to work today.

Anyway: Yesterday my owner got Munchkin Koethulhu!

As I told you last week I really wanted this game and I tried it out immediately and played it with my owner, her OH, Angus and Mr and Mrs Hedgehog. Angus and I played as a team and so did Mr and Mrs Hedgehog.

We started out really good but in the end Mr and Mrs Hedgehog beat us......

I will get a rematch soon!

Remember the scary orange guy telling me he's in all my stuff?

Today on our way to work we saw there's a new advertisement about him.

It turns out that it's a campaign to get people to recycle plastic garbage/waste.

This advertisement says: 'Give plastic garbage/waste a new life'

Small travelingbag and food

My travelingbag has had it's best days and couldn't be used anymore, so at the moment I'm having to use a small travelingbag till my owner made me a new one. It's so small it's more like a sleepingbag then a travelingbag I must say.

We had to work until 9 p.m. today so we had something to eat at work. It's a turkish sandwich with cheese, beef and lots of vegetables.

Today we helped at the cateringservice again and in the afternoon it was really quiet so we did a bit of reading. My owner just got the book 'Midnight's Daughter' by Karen Chance and it sounded cool as it's about vampires and half-vampires, but it turned out to be another girly vampire book, so she can finish it on her own.

Another balloon and a Chicken!

We went to a fastfood restaurant this evening and as our food wasn't ready yet they got us a balloon so they could find us when they would bring us our food.

When we got home my owner's OH gave me this marsipan and chocolate chicken.
It's almost too cool to eat, but I can't let marsipan go bad, it's too tasty for that.
