Today's collection features a list of some useful new educational web tools we have curated from  the piles of emails we have received over the last couple of weeks. The purpose is to provide busy teachers and educators with a handy resource where they can access and keep updated of the latest releases in the world of educational technology.

Teacher-tested Tools for Enhancing Collaboration in Class

Nothing beats a good face-to-face conversation. But when that isn't possible, sometimes technology can help. Here are some teacher-tested tools to aid in collaborating with students and colleagues.



Plickers 
 Have students hold up paper cards instead of requiring their own devices in this clicker system.

Adobe Education Exchange - An Excellent Educational Platform for Teachers

Adobe Education Exchange is a great educational platform that hosts a wealth of resources for teachers and educators. You can use it to access a wide variety of teaching and learning materials such as tutorials, lesson plans, course projects and many more. Adobe Education Exchange is also a social networking hub where you get to meet teachers from all around the globe to network, share and collaborate with each other.


Under the “Resources” tab in Adobe Education Exchange, you will be able to browse through the different materials featured there using three main criteria : subject, age level or by product. There is also another section titled “Professional Development” which features some valued resources to help teachers grow professionally and enhance their teaching practice. The “Discussions” section is where you can start your own discussion or join others discussions.  While Adobe Education Exchange is free, to create your profile or engage in discussions requires a sign-up. 10 Excellent New Educational Web Tools for Teachers

Here are some very useful educational web tools we have curated over the last few weeks. These are EdTech tools we came across through posts from other edubloggers. As is the case with previous posts in New EdTech Web Tools for Teachers, we only feature the recent trending tools which we think would be a valued addition to teachers technology toolkit. Check out the ones we have for you today and share with us if you have other suggestions to add to the list:

1- iClicker

iClicker is a powerful formative assessment tool and intuitive student response system that allows for dynamic student-teacher interaction. Here is how it works: Instructors ask questions through any presentation application; students answer questions with a remote or smart device; instructors display results in real-time and
record responses.

2- ThinkBinder 

ThinkBinder is an excellent web tool for creating study and discussion groups. It allows students to collaborate on their homework, ask questions and interact in realtime, upload videos and share notes and files all in a secured group. The tool also supports text and video chat and provides a collaborative whiteboard to help students work on their problems.

3- EverySlide

EverySlide is a web tool that allows you to create interaction around your presentations. You create a presentation in PowerPoint or Keynote, upload it to EverySlide and share the generated link with your students. using the link, students can join your slideshow from any device. You can then start asking questions, or running polls while students are going through the slides. After the presentation, you can review participants' interactions online or download their contact details and answers as a spreadsheet.

6 New Educational Web Tools for Teachers

Once every month, EdTech and mLearning team prepares for you a list of new interesting educational web tools that we have collected from our PLNs. The purpose is to keep you updated of the latest releases in the world of educational technology and help you discover new tools to leverage in your instruction. Here is what we have curated for you for this month.

1-  BrainNook

BrainNook  provides a variety of educational games and learning materials to help boost students engagement and interest in Math and Language Arts.



It is packed with free tools to help educators and parents teach sight words to kids from Pre-K to 4th Grade. This website’s free and printable resources are designed to promote learning in the classroom and also at home. The site's features include:
3- Drawp for schools

Building on the success of Drawp, the popular art app for kids, MoonDrop Entertainment released Drawp for School, an iPad app that offers all the innovative creativity tools of the original Drawp, with the addition of intuitive workflow management that saves teachers valuable classroom time. Drawp can be used with all subjects, and lets teachers distribute and collect work as easily as with paper worksheets while automatically storing them in the private Drawp cloud.

4- Clyp


Clyp is an excellent tool to record audio. You can also use it to upload and share your recorded clips. Clyp requires you to open an account with them to save your audio recordings and make them downloadable. Clyp is also available as a mobile app for both iPad and Android.

5- Create A Graph

This is a very good and easy tool to use for creating graphs. You can choose from a variety of pre-made graphs (e.g Bar, Line, Area, Pie, XY) and customize them the way you want.

6- Cakey

Cakey provides a safe place for young children to watch YouTube videos. Parents have complete control over which videos children have access to. Children feel empowered being able to navigate themselves back and forth between different video collections without asking for help or permission from their parents. Parents have the ability to add ANY video from YouTube, not just from a restricted set of videos.
