I made this cutie using the Perfect Mini Layers tool (check out that purrrrrrfect black edge!) and the Perfect Cutting Mat, along with my NEW Xyron tape runner.  

This tape runner is the PERFECT size and it's PINK too!  How stinkin' cool is that?  And man does this tape STICK!!!  Holy cow, this is some serious adhesive.  In fact, I usually use scor-tape to hold my mats to the card base, but this stuff is just that strong!  It works GREAT!  Me luuuuv it!

Thinking of you...

Mornin' hens!  Isn't this the sweetest card?  I LOVE the simplicity of it.  Lately, the clean and simple look has got me hooked!  I can't get enough of it.  

I just recieved this little tag die from Papertrey Ink.  It was on backorder for awhile, so when it came in I had to put it to use.  I love that little scalloped frame and it comes with the banner die as well. Nice!

I stamped the image onto the patterned paper and paper pieced the image.  I put a little "fluff" in her tail feathers and added a little bend to her wing.  I like the dimension this adds.  You can see this in the close up here.  I tied some taffeta ribbon to the top and added some linen thread as well.  To finish, I added some glossy accents to the heart and rounded two corners of the card base.  Okee dokee, that's it for me today.  I hope you have a great day and I'll see ya back in the hen house real soon.  {{{hen hugs}}}

Happy Nurse's Day!

Mornin' hens!  Happy Nurse's Day to all the nurses out there.  

I made this card for Lil' Chick.  For those of you who don't know, she's a Registered Nurse!

I saw this little stick nurse in the Silhouette online store and couldn't wait to use it for her card this year.  The sentiment and frame were done using my computer and then I matted the printed piece with black card stock using my AWESOME Perfect Layers Mini Tool and Perfect Mat!!  So clean and perfect on all sides, love that!  Then, I adhered the matted panel to the card base.

Next, I cut the stick image out four times from kraft card stock and once from black card stock.  (Love, love, love my Silhouette Cameo!)  Then using Glossy Accents, I glued all four kraft pieces together and then the black one on top.  I added a final coat of Glossy Accents and once it was dry, I adhered the stick figure to the matted panel.  Cute right?  Okee dokee, that's it for me today.  I hope that all nurses out there have a FABULOUS day and week!  And THANK YOU for all you do!!  {{{hen hugs}}}
