surat panggilan...

ya, masanye telah tiba! setelah sekali tangguh tahun lepas, pergi juga akhirnye! dah buat stok susu bagai, last2 mr.R suruh tangguh plus cesarean saya tak baik lagi waktu tu... saya dah terima surat ni 3 minggu lepas tapi skrg baru rase nak share huhuh takkan nak tangguh lagi! lambatlah nak confirm :( dikelilingi mereka (read:semua) yg tlh pergi, selalu dimomokkan dgn komen positif yg membina & negatif yg menurunkan semangat saya... entah, saya tanya kawan2 nak buat DPA best camne? pn syam&nida jawab, layankan aje... azrul asyik suruh side roll... ipin cakap best giler, anggap ini cuti bergaji, tak payah fikir pasal kerja! ipin&nida sibuk nak ganti saya pergi DPA...

orang tanya, dah prepare ke? entahlah, saya asyik prepare utk mr.R & raina aje... mental kene prepare nih! ye, saya tak pernah berpisah dgn raina waktu malam... memanjang tolak nak pergi ceramah dan kursus luar, mesyuarat luar jauh sekali... pergi kursus pun dlm JPA aje... macam2 dlm kepala... boleh ke raina tanpa saya? boleh ke mr.R jaga raina? kalau raina sakit camne? kalau raina rindu saya camne? boleh ke mr.R pack barang raina ke nurseri tiap hari? makan minum mr.R&raina? huhuh serabut! paling risau, sape nak jaga raina waktu mr.R kerja malam walaupun 7 hari je sebulan? dahlah dalam berita macam2, minta dijauhkan Allah huhuh ni saje nak letak beberapa solution yg difikirkan,

- hantar babysitter raina - caj RM 30/malam
- hantar ex-babysitter raina - pregnant & kat Sg. Merab
- hantar sedara kitorang - jauh, kat Kuala Selangor
- hantar parent - ayah keje, umi buat HPA
- hantar PIL - bapak pergi ladang, mak keje

memang 1st solution yg difikirkan selama ni, husna (bbsitter raina) willing to take care of raina @ nite... saya cakap gitu2 aje ngan die tengahari 2 minggu lepas, petang tu die dah cakap dgn penyelia... diorg (husna&kawan2) yg over excited nak jaga raina :) but still, banyak bende kene fikir dan sediakan, kire macam raina dah berumah kat nurseri tu...

macam bapa saya cakap, takut mama raina yg banjir huhuh

do's and don'ts

demam - do's
  • pakaikan pakaian nipis dan menyerap peluh (kami pakaikan raina baju jarang dan lubang2 kecil), pampers sahaja sudah mencukupi untuk bayi
  • banyakkan minum air
  • bagi ubat demam
  • buat mandi berjelum jika suhu melebihi 38 C
  • bagi ubat punggung (paracetamol suppositories) jika suhu melebihi 40 C (ni kami tak pernah cuba, tapi dah ada spare skrg, basahkan dengan sedikit air sebelum dimasukkan dalam punggung budak)
demam - don'ts
  • jangan pakaikan baju tebal
  • jangan selimutkan anak
  • jangan biarkan anak di bilik yang tiada ruang peredaran udara

mandi berjelum -do's
  • lap seluruh badan dengan air selama 15-20 minit
  • letak sapu tangan basah di dahi, celah ketiak dan celah paha
mandi berjelum -don'ts
  • jangan biarkan sapu tangan basah di badan anak sehingga panas, akan meningkatkan suhu badan
  • jangan gosok badan anak dengan sapu tangan basah, tapi lap sekejap2 (means tekap angkat, tekap angkat)

petua orang lama
  • lumur air asam jawa pada kepala anak (ni kami biasa buat! insya Allah kurangkan panas)
  • calitkan kunyit hidup yang telah dipotong di batang hidung bayi atau di sekitar atas hidung (jika selesema)

info tentang demam...

ape pun, sebaik2nya bawa anak ke klinik @ hospital kalau mengalami demam dan wajib bawa anak pergi hospital kalau anak mengalami demam sawan (true emergency!)... walaupun raina dah banyak kali demam (dok nurseri) dan demam ketika menerima suntikan imunisasi (demam pada suntikan 5-bulan), kebanyakan raina demam hanya 1-2 hari dan tak pernah melebih suhu 40 C... satu peringatan buat kami supaya don't take it for granted bile raina dah kene sawan... ni pamplet yang saya dapat di hospital, i asked too many questions to nurse so she went outside and gave me the pamplet :)

baca ye kawan2, tanamkan dalam kepala!

ini jiran2 raina, nama aish dzakwan, baru 3 bulan tapi bolat... sian tengok tiub berselirat sana sini... die byk kahak sampai efek pernafasan die, selalu dengar mak aish kene sedut kahak aish...

ni pulak joyce, baru 5 bulan... joyce dah 3x sawan sejak lahir... doktor cakap kalau demam dan die sawan can be accepted tapi die ni selalu tibe2 je sawan, risau mak die...

kaki joyce kene pasang drip... doktor susah cari urat, kat tangan die aje dah 5-6 bekas lubang jarum sampai bengkak2, sian sgt tengok :(

jiran baru raina tak sampai hati sempat nak tangkap gambar, baru masuk pagi isnin terus kene pergi ICU... masuk balik wad tu time kami dah nak balik... kes sama dgn aish, doktor cakap paru2 die dah tenat, sedih dengar... makbapak die tinggal kat Bangi, pergi 20 hospital baru sampai Hospital Putrajaya, itu pun datang dgn ambulan Pusat Rawatan Az-Zahrah Bangi... semua hospital swasta yang die pergi taknak terima anak die sebab kes kronik dan bayi baru berumur 2 bulan... saya tanya gak kakak tu kenapa tak nak hospital kerajaan, alasan die sebab nak suami isteri boleh jaga sama2 anak tu, kalau hospital kerajaan kan mak je yg boleh... ermm alhamdulillah anak die sempat diselamatkan, doktor cakap terlambat sikit je bahaya...

anyway, pengalaman raina masuk hospital menyedarkan kami betapa bertuahnya raina sihat walafiat (tiada penyakit lain yang lebih kronik)... dan betapa pentingnya untuk ade pengetahuan tentang penjagaan kesihatan anak2 esp pengetahuan perubatan...

masuk hospital II

pagi esoknye, raina meragam sepanjang masa... efek dari ubat, kembung perut aje... makan pun sket, banyak menyusu dan kerap tidur... raina demam tinggi semula, lebih 40... nurse cabut drip takut drip penyebab suhu naik...

malam tu, waktu tengah suapkan die makan, doktor pasang semula drip kat siku belah kiri... sian tengok tangan die, sampai lebam nak cari urat die... balik tu die muntah, cirit... tapi lepas tu macam magik lak, die dah kebah demam...

raina makan biskut, bagus gak drip kat siku kiri, die takleh nak hisap ibu jari die hehehe

mr.R balik rumah pukul 9.30 mlm, lepas setelkan saya&raina... malamnye saya tidur sama2 atas katil raina hahaha nasib badan kecik, muat... tapi kene hati2 sangat, takut terkena tangan kiri...

saya tidur belah kiri raina, muat2 aje...

pukul 6 pagi esoknye, nurse kejutkan saya transfer ke katil sebelah... ade baby 2 bulan dalam keadaan kritikal untuk dipantau, tempat raina paling senang doktor&nurse tengok... alhamdulillah raina dah tak demam, aktif macam biasa... doktor kata boleh discharged, terus text mr.R :)

raina discharged pukul 6 lebih, waited for pharmacist, nurse said they will come around 4-4.30 pm... kene sambung bagi antibiotik (augmentin), antiviral H1N1 (oseltamivir)... paracetamol syrup dan ubat punggung diberi kalau perlu...

sampai rumah malam tu, raina demam balik... bagi ubat demam, alhamdulillah esok paginye dah tak demam sehingga arini :) walaupun ade side effect dari ubat (tak pasti sama ade dari antibiotik @ antiviral) - cirit, muntah, ruam (badan&pipi), sakit perut... saya call k.punitha, die cakap baik teruskan aje bagi ubat, biasalah kalau ada efek dari drugs(?)... sedih saya sumbat dadah dlm badan anak... dan saya, diberi cuti kuarantin sampai arini, 8 Januari 2010, best tak? :) tapi tak best sebab saya tak dapat keluar pergi mana2...

apepun, saya amat bersyukur:
  • raina dah sihat
  • mr.R tak kerja waktu tu
  • rumah saya dekat dengan klinik dan hospital
  • kak amal dan kak punitha (kawan baik kakak saya) selalu tolong saya berkenaan kesihatan raina (seriously appreciate it!)
  • sampai kat hospital pada waktunye, risau kalau accident@kereta problem
  • terbaca blog pengalaman ibu yg berhadapan dengan anak die kene sawan, dan satu tanggungjawab pd saya pula share pengalaman saya

a big thanks to our family and family-in-laws, staff wad kecemasan dan Wad Pediatrik Hospital Putrajaya dan kawan2 yg tak putus2 berdoa utk kesihatan raina...

masuk hospital I

raina mula demam pada petang Jumaat (1 Januari 2010-demam tahun baru agaknya), so mr.R mandikan die, bagi die makan ubat dan die tidur dari pukul 7 (@7 lebih, saya tgh masak waktu itu)... saya kejutkan die utk makan malam pun macam tak terbangun, letak tuala basah kat dahi die pun tak bangun gak...

lepas die bangun pada pukul 10.30 mlm, suapkan die makan... badan still panas, saya mandikan die lagi pada pukul 11.30 mlm dan bagi ubat lagi pukul 12 tgh malam... esok paginye, mr.R mandikan die pada pukul 8 pagi... nak bagi die makan ubat but she refused to eat anything, probably bcoz she already had full meal last night... nak bawa die ke klinik but she sleep again after having bath, crying continuously every 2 hours... me&mr.R continue buat mandi berjelum...

walaupun kami mandikan die, bagi die makan ubat, buat mandi berjelum sepanjang malam, pakaikan die pampers&baju jarang aje dan buka kipas kuat pun still tak kurang panas... kalau kurang pun, dalam 1 minit panas balik... saya tak pasti suhu die berapa sebab kami tak berani guna termometer memandangkan kaca pada hujung termometer tu pecah...

about 11 am, raina bangun menangis kuat... saya angkat, tepuk2 belakang badan die dan pas pd mr.R... tibe2 je mr.R cakap, awak, raina sawan... saya baru nak masuk tandas terus terpa kat raina... mata hitam dah naik atas, badan dah lemah sgt, very helpless... saya terus call mak saya tanya nak buat ape, tapi mak saya takde kat rumah... waktu tu mmg blur tak taw nak buat ape, nasib baik saya teringat pernah baca blog ibu yang anak die pernah kene sawan... so, kami buka baju&pampers die dan mandikan die dengan air sejuk... sawan still tak kurang.... saya terus sarung jubah, pakai tudung, ambik raina dari mr.R, balut raina ngan tuala dan peluk die sekemas yg mungkin... alhamdulillah, sawan die stop (petua mak saya, rapatkan anak pada dada)... call k.amal jap tanya tapi saya tak dengar die cakap ape... mr.R sarung seluar, ambik pampers, baju raina, wallet, hp terus kami berkejar ke lif dengan raina berbalut dalam tuala aje...

raina terus nangis lepas sawan die stop, saya cakap, takpe raina, nangislah, mama tak kisah dengar kamu nangis... raina tidur dalam kereta, saya suruh mr.R drive pergi wad kecemasan tapi mr.R nak pergi Klinik Lita Alis (mr.R pernah pergi wad kecemasan, tunggu nak dapatkan rawatan sampai 3 jam lebih sebab sakit mata... last2 tak jumpa gak doktor)... sampai di klinik, saya pakaikan raina pampers sementara mr.R pergi daftar... saya suruh mr.R minta supaya kami boleh jumpa doktor segera tapi alhamdulillah dah nasib kami, memang tak ramai patient time tu... tunggu patient tu keluar, saya risau sangat time tu... doktor cek suhu lebih 40, masukkan ubat punggung terus suruh kitorang pergi wad kecemasan hospital...

sampai kat wad kecemasan, mr.R pergi parking sementara saya terus meluru ke wad... petugas kat situ terus bukakan pintu, cek suhu dan bawa kami masuk dalam wad... waktu tu, ramai juga patient sedang menunggu... sampai kat wad, baringkan raina atas katil dan kami disuruh menunggu kat tepi... memang saya dah menangis teruk waktu tu... saya call umi&ayah, cakap skrg kat icu (read: wad kecemasan), raina kene sawan... saya cakap ngan mr.R, lain kali kite kene terus pergi wad kecemasan, mmg ni betul2 kecemasan (compare dgn sakit mata)...

petugas panggil kami dapatkan detail - bile mula demam, bile bagi ubat, bile mula sawan, bape minit sawan...raina tak henti2 nangis... diorg berikan drip - masukkan air sebab suhu lebih 40... nurse balut badan raina dengan kain basah... doktor cakap selalunya takde masalah memandangkan sawan berlaku kurang 2 minit but still, raina have to warded as doctor want to see her progress...

drip-masuk air kat tangan kiri raina

sampai kat Wad Pediatrik 2C, raina ditempatkan dalam bilik bertutup... semua budak (tak ingat bawah umur berapa) yg demam suhu tinggi, selesema, batuk treated as H1N1 suspected patient... waktu tu dah pukul 12.30 tengahari, kami sampai wad kecemasan pukul 11.45 pagi... nurse bagi semangkuk air suam ngan span utk continue mandi berjelum...

umi&ayah pun dah sampai, diorg kat Nilai waktu kitorg call... mr.R call mak&bapak cakap raina masuk wad, demam panas... nurse ambik raina sekejap utk ambik darah dan sampel kahak (seingat sayalah) utk dihantar ke HKL (cek H1N1)... saya cakap ngan nurse tu, akak nak kejut die ke? die baru je tidur... raina mula diberi antibiotik, ubat H1N1, paracetamol syrup @ ubat punggung...

badan raina masih panas tapi die boleh senyum time adik saya agah2 die...

saya pakaikan raina sexy halter dress dari tuala pink, comel tak?

petang tu demam die dah kurang 40 tapi still lebih 38... tapi dah tak macam budak demam, aktif memanjang... nurse cabut drip (masuk air) malam tu sebab die dah aktif, makan dan minum macam biasa... malamnye lebih 1000x saya tepuk die (saya kire woo, kalau tak kira, sure dah takde energy nak tepuk) last2 tidur dengan saya atas reclining chair... die tak selesa tidur baring, blocked nose... lagi2 kejap2 ade nurse datang bagi ubat, cek suhu, tekanan darah, masuk antibiotik ikut drip, masuk ubat punggung setiap 4 jam...

thumb-sucking

raina's habit sometimes makes me worry! yelaa, dah berjalan merangkak sana sini then suddenly sucks her thumb especially if she see her bolster! aduhhh dan mula2 lah mama&abah die bising2, raina, jari kotor masuk dalam mulut dan die akan menyengih tunjuk gigi...

raina started sucking her thumb when she was around 6 months old... she may turn to her thumb when she feels hungry & thirsty! so i will offer her milk first, then i will give her biscuit or water if she doesn't want milk! if she got bored, she would go searching her bolster and has some “thumbsucking time”... sometimes, but not always she would suck her thumb before falling asleep.

sometimes i worried about her habit but sometimes i let her do thumbsucking as i know that will comforts her... still, there's other people worry about her too heheh too much mak angkat kat nurseri tu (bersangka baik sesama manusia!) so, i put salt, garlic, honey etc to her thumb but it never works as she was never the type who would just walk around with her thumb in her mouth or do activities while thumbsucking... so, when the thumbsucking time came, the flavors already come out huhuh anyways, searching about thumbsucking really make me not really worry (but still i've to stop her habit!)...

Why it happens

Toddlers suck their thumbs because it's comforting and calming. Your toddler probably practiced this habit while he was still in the womb and perfected it as an infant. Now he may turn to his thumb when he's tired, scared, bored, sick, or trying to adjust to challenges such as starting preschool or going on a long car ride. He may also use his thumb to fall asleep at bedtime and to lull himself back to sleep when he wakes up in the middle of the night.

What to do about it

Don't worry. The American Dental Association says most children can safely suck their thumb — without damaging the alignment of their teeth or jaws — until their permanent teeth begin to appear. (Permanent teeth don't usually erupt until around age 6.) Also, not all children's thumb-sucking is equally damaging. Experts say it's the intensity of the sucking and the tongue's thrust that deforms teeth and makes braces necessary later. Children who rest their thumb passively in their mouth are less likely to have difficulty than children who suck aggressively. Watch your child and analyze his technique. If he sucks vigorously, you may want to begin curbing his habit earlier, say at age 4.

If your child's thumb becomes red and chapped from sucking, you can try applying a moisturizing ointment, cream, or lotion while he's sleeping. (If you apply it while he's awake, it may just end up in his mouth.).

Let it go. Nagging or punishing your child won't help, because he doesn't usually realize when he's sucking away. Besides, pressuring him to stop may intensify his desire to do it even more. And techniques such as putting an elastic bandage on his thumb will seem like unjust punishment, especially since he indulges in the habit for comfort and security. Try to wait it out. Children usually give up thumb-sucking when they've found other ways to calm and comfort themselves, says pediatrician Suzanne Dixon. For example, while a toddler who's hungry may suck his thumb, an older child (age 3 or 4) might simply open the refrigerator and look for something to eat or ask his parents for a snack instead.

Preempt the thumb-sucking with other activities. If you can identify times and places when your child is particularly likely to suck his thumb — while watching television, for example — you might try giving him a substitute, such as a rubber ball to bounce or puppets to play with. If he tends to suck his thumb when he's tired, work more naps into his schedule. Or if he turns to it when he's frustrated, help him put his feelings into words. The key is to notice when and where sucking occurs, and divert his attention by offering an alternative.

Is it true that sucking on a pacifier or thumb ruins a child's teeth or bite?

No, not unless it continues into the preschool years.

It's perfectly healthy and natural for a baby to suck, and fingers or a pacifier can come in very handy for soothing. A child is most likely to enjoy thumb-sucking or a pacifier during the years when she has her baby teeth, and there's no reason to worry about long-term problems with the teeth or jaw at that point.

It's a good idea to discourage thumb-sucking and pacifier use before your child gets permanent teeth, though. Continued sucking after that time can lead to problems with the front teeth tipping outward or not developing properly.

Permanent teeth usually start showing up by age 4 to 6, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommends that parents help children put a stop to these habits by age 3.

If your child enjoys sucking on a pacifier or her fingers, talk with her dentist. He can monitor her jaw and teeth to make sure that they're developing properly. One thing that's bad for your child's teeth at any age: dipping that pacifier in something sweet.

How to stop thumbsucking?

Instructions

Step 1
Give your child extra attention and observe if conflicts or anxiety provoke thumb sucking. If so, help him find more healthful ways to deal with stress.

Step 2
Reward your child for progress made towards her goal. Don't think of it as a bribe because it's something she earned through effort.

Step 3
Paint something that taste bad on his thumb, like vinegar or pickle juice. Don't do it forcefully or without his permission, but as a way of helping him achieve his goal. Then when he's engaged in television and sticks his thumb in his mouth out of habit, the bad taste will quickly remind him of what he's trying to accomplish.

Step 4
Distract your child when you see her putting her thumb in her mouth. If you engage her in an activity that requires both hands, she'll have to take her thumb out of her mouth to do the task.

Step 5
Invite friends over that don't suck their thumbs for frequent play dates. Peer pressure is a powerful motivator and if he surrounds himself with kids who don't suck their thumbs, it will be easier for him to not suck his.

should i buy this for her?

sebelum nie pernah gak survey Cendekiawan waktu raina bayi, tapi tak jadi sebab agak jauh dan kawasan tersebut agak jammed... main reason bcoz the fees is double than i've to pay for current taska...

reason:

  • dekat dengan rumah, nampak taska tu dari balkoni rumah - jarak cuma 5 minit berjalan kaki...
  • saya akan pergi kursus 6-bulan pada Mac, so bile bapa die jaga, senang hantar... if raina stay at current taska, mr.R will have to ulang-alik JPA-JPM-Presint 18...
  • this kindergarten is in our apartment area so it is more safer (hopefully!) if i've to come home late...
  • we prefer kindergarten that's not fully air-conditioned, and this kindergarten has both air-cond and open air...
  • pembelajaran yang lebih baik, pada pendapat saya lah, sebab saya dengar cerita orang yang hantar anak ke Cendekiawan yang best2 and of course i compare with current taska (for toddlers, yang memang buat saya tak berkenan sangat!)...
  • OT - very the important! now, waktu balik saya pukul 5.30 pm so 5.45 pm - caj RM 5, 6.25 pm - RM 10 dan 6.50 pm - RM 15... kopak eden kalau selalu balik lambat! utk Cendekiawan - caj RM 5/ hour after 6 pm...

Cendekiawan Educare mempunyai perkhidmatan taska, pusat jagaan harian dan Kelas Al-Qur'an dan Fardhu Ain serta transit untuk pelajar Sekolah Rendah... other branches are;

  • Bangunan TADIKA CENDEKIAWAN, Jalan P9G1
    (berhadapan surau Presint 9 & bersebelahan taman permainan Presint 9)
    03-8888 9967 / 019-382 1377
  • Perbadanan Putrajaya

other option (near our home!), actually we don't survey... semua ni atas recommendation orang yang pernah hantar anak...

Tadika Nasyrah (office kindergarten) - the most preferrable and highly recommended but very hard to get chosen as priority for the staffs! branches list;

  • Blok C7, Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam,
    03-8885 6384 / 012-217 9475
  • Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri Koperasi Dan Kepenggunaan
    Presint 2, Putrajaya
    012-632 6308 / 012-217 9475
Taska Nasyrah baru buka satu lagi cawangan di Jabatan Peguam Negara (AGC) Presint 4, dekat dgn rumah saya juga... tapi for sure priority utk staff AGC gak, huhu..

Taska Zrin, Kementerian Belia dan Sukan (KBS) - ini saya pi survey tengah tahun ni, ok gak, spacious room, toilet bersih, kawan saya pergi survey baru2 ni, cakap tak buka utk orang luar lak, priority for KBS staff only :(

ni pulak another option taska2 di Putrajaya, tak semua saya masukkan dan of course, saya tak tahu detail - pembelajaran, kebersihan, fees, security etc... kebanyakan dengar dari kawan2 dan ask mr.Google...

  • Taska Ikhlas Bestari (office kindergarten) - Kementerian Perusahaan dan Perladangan Komoditi (KPPK), Jabatan Audit Negara dan Jabatan Imigresen
  • Ilham Putra - Presint 9B
  • Taska Generasi - Presint 9B
  • Children Islamic Centre - Presint 9, Putrajaya (Belakang Petronas), Taska - Presint 11, Presint 15
  • Smart Reader Kids - Presint 15, Presint 8
  • Tadika Krista
  • Tadika Q-Dees - Presint 15

anyways, hopefully my little sunshine enjoys her new environment @ new place and new life as mommy will not be around every lunch hour :) huhuh mak die yg sedih tak dapat tengok anak time lunch :(

susu badan

perbualan di nurseri dengan babysitter pada pagi rabu lepas,

saya: yana senang jaga raina?
(raina selalu dipuji paling senang jaga sbb paling tak suke kacau budak lain ngan pandai bawa diri a.k.a. tak peduli hal org lain)
babysitter: raina paling senang jaga... eh, kak hawa tak nak tambah susu tepung ke?
(ooo, saya bersyukur sbb nurseri kat lobi pejabat saya aje, so saya akan turun pukul 10 pagi dan lunch hour untuk susukan raina)
saya: kenapa kene tambah?
babysitter: raina kecil la, biar tambah berat...
saya: nanti dulu lah, tunggu die jalan...
(dalam hati, ade kene mengena ke susu badan ngan badan kecil... saya&mr.R kan kecil orangnye, mane mungkin anak saya besar2)

pagi esoknye...

babysitter: nanti siapa jaga raina time k.we pergi kursus?
(saya akan pergi kursus 6-bulan yang ditangguh pada Mac tahun depan)
saya: tak tahu lagi, bapa nye lah kot...
babysitter: meh saya jaga...
saya: ala konon, awak tu mengandung, nanti pantang dengan nak handle baby lagi...
babysitter: takpe, raina senang jaga, saya bawa balik kuantan lah time pantang...
saya: ermm, die senang jaga sebab die susu badan kot...

setiap kali pergi ruang susu tepung (sure terserempak sebab sebelah ruang baby bites kat Manjaku, dan nampak tulisan SUSU IBU ADALAH MAKANAN TERBAIK BAGI BAYI)...

ape pun, saya suke sebab makin ramai geng susukan anak kat nurseri...
walaupun diorang campur FM sebab tak pam time kerja, tapi seboleh mungkin diorang akan bagi susu badan time lunch :)
alasan sebab raina jarang meragam dan susah nak dengar die nangis padahal die akan nangis setiap kali saya nak balik pejabat, boleh?

apepun, saya nak share gambar saya public breastfeeding...
dulu, setiap kali nak kuar kene perah susu dulu dan bawa cooler bag, termos, bagai...
sekarang, mane2 pun boleh :) alhamdulillah...

waktu birthday raina @ Putrajaya Cruise...
siap angkat kaki lagi tu :)

our new nurse

presenting our new nurse for raina...
since she's always hds fever so we decided to buy electronic ear thermometer...
according to my sister (she's a dentist, not paed), electronic ear thermometer is the most accurate and fastest way to take infant's temperature...
besides, it comes with slow music that can calm the infants...
i bought @ Cosway, Rm 99 plus coupon... n.p. Rm 170

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Electronic ear thermometers measure the tympanic temperature — the temperature inside the ear canal. Although they're quick and easy to use in older babies and children, electronic ear thermometers aren't as accurate for infants 3 months or younger as digital thermometers and are more expensive.
introducing solid foods
When should I introduce solid food to my baby?
You can introduce solids any time between 4 and 6 months if your baby is ready. Until then, breast milk or formula provides all the calories and nourishment your baby needs and can handle. His digestive system simply isn't ready for solids until he nears his half-birthday.
How will I know when my baby's ready?
Your baby will give you clear signs when he's ready to move beyond liquid-only nourishment. Cues to look for include:
• Head control. Your baby needs to be able to keep his head in a steady, upright position.
• Losing the "extrusion reflex." To keep solid food in his mouth and then swallow it, your baby needs to stop using his tongue to push food out of his mouth.
• Sitting well when supported. Even if he's not quite ready for a highchair, your baby needs to be able to sit upright to swallow well.
• Chewing motions. Your baby's mouth and tongue develop in sync with his digestive system. To start solids, he should be able to move food to the back of his mouth and swallow. As he learns to swallow efficiently, you may notice less drooling. He may also be teething around the same time.
• Significant weight gain. Most babies are ready to eat solids when they've doubled their birth weight (or weigh about 15 pounds) and are at least 4 months old.
• Growing appetite. He seems hungry — even with eight to ten feedings of breast milk or formula a day.
• Curiosity about what you're eating. Your baby may begin eyeing your bowl of rice or reaching for a forkful of fettuccine as it travels from your plate to your mouth.
How should I introduce solid food?
A good rule of thumb is to start with rice cereal, which is gluten-free and less allergenic than other foods. First, nurse or bottle-feed your baby. Then give him one or two teaspoons of dry cereal mixed with enough formula or breast milk to make a semi-liquid. Use a rubber-tipped spoon when you feed your baby, to avoid injuring his gums. Start with just a small amount of cereal on the tip of the spoon.
If your baby doesn't seem very interested in eating off the spoon, let him smell and taste the cereal or wait until he warms up to the idea of eating something solid. Don't add solid food to your baby's bottle or he may not make the connection that food is to be eaten sitting up and from a spoon.
Begin with a once-a-day feeding, whenever it's convenient for you and your baby, but not at a time when your baby seems tired or cranky. Your baby may not eat much in the beginning, but give him time to get used to the experience. Some babies need practice keeping food in their mouths and swallowing.
Once he gets used to his new diet, he'll be ready for a few tablespoons of cereal a day. As the amount he eats increases, gradually thicken the consistency of the cereal and add another feeding.
