Melaka Trip

dari Pengkalan Balak, kami menuju ke Bandar Melaka tanpa tujuan ala2 backpackers la kononnye... dahlah tak book any hotel dan tak taw nak pergi mana, dengan Public Holiday-Cuti Thaipusam... just risik2 aje dari kawan2, nuar&wani suggest naik cruise river (waktu malam), azrul suruh naik Bukit St. Paul (serius waktu die beria cakap, ingatkan Bukit Sempol hahaha :), hezerie cakap tak ape sesat, pusing2 lagu tu gak menyebabkan kitorang pusing2 Dataran Pahlawan mau 3-4x pusing nak cari hotel best... yang penting cari hotel dulu, tanya Equatorial Hotel, fully booked plus rate > 200++... Malacca Strait Hotel (hotel bertemakan batik belakang Equatorial) pun penuh, Tune Hotel masih dalam pembinaan, last2 jumpa juga budget hotel berkenan di hati... Hotel Queenspark - RM 98 aje plus breakfast, murah kan? saya prefer hotel melayu tapi tak jumpa, lepas check-in baru taw ade Hotel Johan tapi receptionist cakap mahal!

check-in dan mr.R ambik brosur banyak2 kat hotel (ingat nak tangkap gambar tapi brosur dah lunyai raina main) and we decided go to The Stadthuys, tanya mr.Garmin, tak sampai 5 minit dah sampai...

gerai tepi The Stadthuys

jalan2 dan tangkap gambar area sini, ade Gereja St. Christ, Balai Seni Lukis, Muzium Sejarah dan Muzium Ethnografi... tak sempat masuk...

nampak deretan beca tak boleh jadi ni, cari pakcik tua yg muka sedih (idea mr.R, apeKah? yg lepas tu pow byk)... sewa RM 20 utk setengah jam... pakcik tu banyak gak terang pasal sejarah Melaka tapi kitorang tak berapa faham die cakap aka pelat sket... ok gak naik beca, penat gak nak jalan dari satu tempat ke satu tempat lain with zero knowledge... ohhh Melaka lah paling banyak muzium...

Muzium Dunia Melayu Dunia Islam

Porta de Santiago, the surviving gate of the A Famosa Portugese Fort... dulu kecik2 kenal kubu ini sebagai A Famosa, dah ade A Famosa Resort tukar nama lak :)

Bukit St. Paul

ni sebelah A Famosa, tak taw ape die tapi dah tutup...

Muzium Pengangkutan Melaka

Pokok Melaka

Muzium Layang-layang dan Muzium Kecantikan (?)

replika kapal Flora De La Mar yang dijadikan Muzium Samudera, bayaran masuk RM 3... berhadapan ada Muzium TLDM tapi tak masuk sebab pernah masuk waktu kecik dulu...

dah 30 tahun pakcik bawa beca ni... terlebih 5 minit kene tambah RM 10 so 35 minit ~ RM 30, kalah naik ERL...

pakcik beca tu cadang makan kat sebelah River Cruise, sedap gak, harga pun berpatutan...

then, kitorang naik River Cruise... tiket RM 10 seorang dan perjalanan mengambil masa lebih kurang 45 minit... parking kat tanah kosong tepi River Cruise, RM 2/ hari... kalau taw, tak payah naik beca... parking dekat situ dan jalan kaki aje...

ala2 Venice Asia...

Vila Sentosa

Taman Tema Air - Melaka River Pirate Park

air terjun berirama - air terjun berlainan mengikut rentak lagu... serius comel!

overall, best tapi too crowded... memang ramai orang naik especially malam, and highly recommended for night view... planned nak naik Eyes on Malaysia tapi dah tutup seminggu rupenye... ok, done for first day, really exhausted!

esoknye, check-out dulu...

then heading to Menara Taming Sari, revolving observation cabin... tickets RM 10 per adult and each viewing session would last 7 minutes...

pastu lepak kat Dataran Pahlawan...

dan pekena nasi ayam penyet dan sup cair bakso...

mula2 risau tak dapat nak lawat semua tempat di Bandar Melaka dalam masa 2 hari tapi alhamdulillah sempat juga... ingat nak singgah Taman Buaya, Taman Rama-rama dan Mini Malaysia & Mini ASEAN kat Alor Gajah on the way balik tapi serius pengsan penat window shopping kat Dataran Pahlawan!

tips for travel

bapa saya selalu bawa kitorang pergi jalan2...
lepas kahwin, ade gathering sekali pergi Cameron Highland (rombongan mak buyung) dan lepas dapat anak, pergi Fraser Hill pulak...
gathering tahun depan pun dah plan...
tapi, saya tak pernah jalan mane2 pun dengan mr.R dan raina sahaja kecuali pergi Genting ade kursus dan balik Perlis...
bukan nak pergi oversea pun, nak pergi over-the-sea aje...
saya teringin dan sedang survey nak pergi Sabah, Langkawi ngan Pulau Redang ;)
alasan, dah ade kawan pergi sana so senang tanya...
Pulau Redang lak sebab ada ofismate tinggal sana...

mr.R tak kesah pergi mane2, syaratnye saya kene plan...
aduh, pening banget nih...
tadi cari pasal tips2 blogger yang pernah bawa anak jalan2, takde pulak tips2 hebat atau saya yang tak jumpa...
terjumpa pulak ini untuk dikongsi bersama...

Tips For Travel

Based on content from Understanding Children: The Guidebook for Children 0 to 3 by Richard Saul Wurman, TOP / Civitas Books, 2002.

Following these simple trips can make traveling more enjoyable for both you and your baby:

1) Before you go, pick family-friendly destinations. Choose hotels with children's facilities or lodging and meal discounts. Request a safe crib.

2) Take practice trips. Take a day or weekend trip to see how your child adjusts. If your baby is six months or older, you can look at pictures of your destination and talk to her about what you'll do there. Be positive about the trip you have planned, and chances are your child will be positive, too.

3) Take it slow. Too many sights and sounds can overstimulate your baby. Limit your itinerary to one activity per day. It will be much easier to make last-minute changes that make everyone happier.

4) Take breaks. If it's a driving trip, limit driving time to between 6 and 8 hours and take a brake every two hours for diaper changes or bathroom breaks and play. End your day early so everyone can unwind after a long day on the road.

5) If your baby has started solid foods, stock up on snacks. Water, juice, and healthy, non-perishable foods are a must.

6) Pack surprises to keep the ride exciting. For babies, consider shiny objects, musical toys, pop-up toys and rattles. For toddlers, consider puzzles, action figures, paper and crayons, and story tapes.

7) Ask the hotel if they can baby-proof your room, or plan to do it yourself. Inspect the room carefully. Take masking tape to secure loose items and to cover electrical outlets.

8) If you plan to fly, consider buying your baby her own seat for a safer, more comfortable flight. You can bring your baby's car seat to fit into the plane seat. Some airlines offer children's discounts. Feed her during takeoff and landing to help her ears pop, and keep her hydrated.

9) Start and end early. If your baby is at her best early in the day, sightsee in the morning and reserve the afternoon for relaxing. Try to stick to your child's routine.

Travel Checklist

Whenever you're traveling with your baby, be sure to bring along:
  • Diapers (one for each hour you'll be in transit, plus a few extras), diaper rash ointment, wipes and lotion
  • Food/formula - take extra in case of travel delays.
  • Blankets - one for comfort, shade and warmth, one for lying down, and one for burping.
  • Clothes - one or two outfits per day, plus extras. Don't forget socks and hats.
  • Collapsible play yard.
  • Collapsible or lightweight stroller or a baby carrier.
  • A small tub for bathing (for infants and younger babies).
  • Car seat.
  • Favorite toys, stuffed animals, books, etc.
  • Medicine.
  • Toiletries - in addition to what you normally use at home, you'll find it handy to also bring along easy-travel items such as null (for quick and easy clean-ups) and null (for convenient moisturizing).
  • Plastic bags for soiled diapers, clothing and shoes.
  • Electrical outlet covers.

wahh pictured myself hiking at Gunung Kinabalu, shopping at Langkawi and snorkelling at Pulau Redang...
insya Allah lepas raina pandai jalan, panjanglah langkah kami :)

dine at Village View

Bangi, as always in memory, my life journey from me be a student @ UKM, working, engaged, married, pregnant then moved to Putrajaya...
but, us still went to Bangi for 'Jalan-jalan Cari Makan' as Bangi full of places to eat...
the destination was Village View Restaurant situated behind Petronas, near to SOHO and Rimbun Klasik...

we arrived there at around 8 pm since we headed there after maghrib prayer...
to me, the foods was moderate as we've been twice there and tom yam not really superb compared to our most favorite Cempaka Rimba at PKNS Bangi and Perantau at Taman Kenari, but u can't deny it’s own calm, laid back atmosphere created by the clever use of wooden structures and cascading water features...

the entrance..

fish pond which i like best!

raina gigit jari aje!

we ordered Siakap 3 Rasa with spicy Tom Yam Ayam... delicious!!!
kononnye siakap takut tak habis & want tapow for sahur but licin gak :)

come with mango juice in weird glass heheh :)
but the mango terlampau masak so effect the juice...
i also gave raina taste of siakap...
she's screamed as termakan pedas sket so end up i gave her a sip of mango juice gak...

the best thing about this place was that the service was impressively fast – everything was on the table within less than 10mins...
and the prices were reasonable too as the charge only RM40 ++...
ok, done for today!
