Hi there everyone! Summer with the kids is already kicking me in the rear! My stamping time this week has been next to nothing! I holed myself up in my craft area today so I could get the mojo flowing and man did it feel good!
I used two brand new set from Taylored Expressions, Summer Afternoon and Care & Comfort. I had my husband's aunt in mind while creating this card. Phyllis is fighting bone cancer right now and I just want her to know that we are thinking about her! She is one of my favorite people and it's really hard to hear about her struggles! We will be seeing her tomorrow at a family barbecue and I'll give this to her then.
I used October Afternoon Fly a Kite DP for the card. The layout originally started out as this week's Mojo Monday sketch, but I veered away from it in the end! But it did inspire this card!

Uh-oh, don't tell me that about summer! My kids have one more week. Excited to have them home, but it does tend to cut into the stamping time! Today's card is gorgeous, Jackie! Sorry to hear about your husband's aunt. Your card is sure to lift her spirits.
Absolutely gorgeous, Jackie! I still have two weeks before my kids are off for the summer and I"m in deep denial about it LOL! Takes a few weeks to get into the groove of things and then I just love having them all to myself because in a few years they won't want to spend as much time with me.
