The Little Engine That Could

. . . once upon a time, anyway.

Monet's house and gardens are the main
attractions at Giverny, of course—but
there's also a sweet little museum that's
devoted to old machinery.

I didn't have the foggiest notion what most
of them were for, but bringing them back from
the brink was clearly a labor of love for
the two guys who ran the place.

Thursday Challenge—"machines"

If I were in the market for a car (which
I'm not since I don't drive), I probably wouldn't
plunk down $70,000 (and up) for a
Tesla Model S—even though it is an awesome machine.
I do hope cars like this that need no fossil fuels
whatsoever become more common and more affordable.

Thursday Challenge—"machines"

All Saints is a clothing store on Broadway in
Soho.  The clothes aren't really my style,
but I love the way this place is decorated—very
industrial chic, with dozens (maybe even hundreds) of old
Singer sewing machines lining the walls and windows.
