ABC Wednesday—K is for "kitchen"

Or at least for anything you could ever possibly
need for yours.  This is one small cubby
at the Paris emporium E. Dehillerin, where cooks
from near and far come to stock
up on the essentials.

Shadow Shot Sunday

This past week has turned out to be all about
(very) different variations on a theme:

a painted piano (on Wed.) and a classic version
(on Sat.),
a famous ceiling (on Thurs.) and this one—
which is in
my own little kitchen in Brooklyn.

cool curtain

When I found these puka shells left over
from some craft project at work, I knew exactly
what I wanted to do with them.  Love the

way the light shines through them in the morning
and—if it ever warms up enough to open
the window—the pretty sound
they make when a breeze hits them.

Weekend Reflections

Didn't have to go far afield for this one:
It's my kitchen window—with a new

puka-shell "curtain" (that turned out to be
wind chime sometimes too)—reflected
in the computer screen.

abc wednesday —K is for "kitchen"

Went to a wine-tasting in Soho a while back:
Italian wines and delizioso food to go with.
This young chef was in the open kitchen,
stirring up a big steaming pot o' pasta.
