I'll be anything
If it can stop you from being seized with fear

- 'Moments' by Ayumi

1. AJ Teachers' Day Celebration

AJ, as usual, had the 'Koizora guy' (?????!!!!!!) to teach us dance for ACES Day.
Somehow, I felt really bad for him, considering how we were responding to him. =/

Ok. Anyway, for the concert, we had the cast from '12 Lotus' film performing for us. :)
And of course, many many performances by various bands and AJ idol. :)
Oh yes, and the GP department sang the song about 'NAQ-ing GP'. XD
(And I bet I NAQ-ed for GP essay........................................................................ sigh.)

But the most hilarious part (maybe to me only) was the prize presentation of the 'Teacher with the Wackiest Hair'.
The prize was GATSBY HAIR GEL (?!?!?!?!?!). XDXDXD

Then there were many powerpoint presentations and videos dedicated to teachers, from teachers. XD
As in, AJ teachers' teachers who are ALSO AJ teachers.
Complex relationship, eh?

Anyway, overall, the celebration was not bad. :)

After that, we were practically elbowing our way through the throng to get to the staff room and find our teachers so we could give them the presents (that we PAINSTAKINGLY FOUND).

In my 2 years in AJ, the only times when I see such chaos outside the staff room are

1. TEACHERS' DAY
2. trying to get signatures for our SGC! XD

Ok, anyway, after that, went to Nanhua afterwards and met up with Yeeyan and Serene. :)

And I bet... I could walk from Clementi to Nanhua with my eyes closed AND still be able to reach there.

That's how well I know the road there. :)

2. Nanhua. Nostalgia

It was like a walk down the memory lane.

Suddenly, everything faded down to sepia.
The flashes of white, the ever-so-glaring silver buttons on our shoulders, the trademark PLAITS
(though I've never EVER worn my hair in plaits)

Anyway, Yeeyan, Serene and I walked around the school and stopped by our old classrooms.
And of course, the 5th floor toilet! :D (our favourite place to hang out)

They were all such 眩しい days, weren't they? ^^

After that, we saw many familiar faces of 4o8'06 and a bunch of us went for lunch at Botak Jones.

It's great catching up with them. :D

And Nicholas.... still as CEMENT-HEAD as ever. XD

3. Un-understandable emotions

Was there ever a time in your life when you suddenly felt as if you just stepped into a completely white maze?

There's no way out. No turning back.

I won't say 'black maze' since in a 'black maze', you won't even be able to see where you're going but that's not true in a 'white maze'. You are perfectly aware of your surroundings. but you just don't know where to go.

There's no excuses for not being able to advance. Unlike that in a maze in the dark.

Have you?

Have you felt like you desperately want to advance, but you cannot because your feet just won't listen to you?

You don't want to listen to your heart. Your heart doesn't want to listen to you, either.

Have you felt a sudden urge to cry?

With a heart so naked, with feelings so raw and vulnerable...

You just need an outlet to let it all out.

There might not have been any sad occurrences, there might not be anything truly worth crying over,
but at that moment, you just feel like... answering to your insecurities.

To cry, is not a sign of weakness.

To hide, to escape, to pretend, is.

The more you think you're strong, the more you're not .

Escaping out into the darkness,
I told myself "I'm strong, I'm happy, I'm satisfied with myself, I'm not alone"
But,
that only makes my loneliness even more unbearable.

Doesn't it? Doesn't it?

My feelings, my emotions are indeed...

un-understandable.

4. Prelims

That makes my mood plunge to like .... NEGATIVE 4567898546552123120025460000.

5. Myself.

hahaha I bet that in this lifetime, in my previous life, in my next life, in my next next life, in my next next next life,

I'll still be as PESSIMISTIC AS EVER. :D

(I'm contradicting myself. how can I put a 'smiley' next to 'pessimistic as ever'????)

My favourite saying:

I'm optimistic about my pessimism.

6.

Amidst all this junk, horrible, ugly things, terrible, painful world,

there are still people who are like TENSHI outside. :)

Your very existence makes me want to believe that, in this dirty world, there are still people like you.

Your very existence makes me want to smile, no matter how much I'm hurting inside.

Your very existence makes me want to close my eyes and have this scene etched in my mind.

Your very existence makes me want to cry, want to smile, want to laugh, want to dream, want to advance, want to run, want to live, want to live, want to live.

7.

Let the tears today,

be transformed into strength for tomorrow.

Ruzi: I want to play tennis...
Jas: But it was raining this morning.
Ruzi: We can play in the 'MGH'
*Wenshi and Jas stares at her*
Jas: Potential energy eh?

Alright. What she wanted to say was 'MPH' = 'Multi Purpose Hall'. So, Physics overdose for Ruzi. haha. XD

PRELIMS ROUND THE CORNER!!!

and,

I'm having near insignificant level of confidence in myself for the upcoming Prelims.

That's how bad it is. >.<

GO SINGAPORE!~*

GO SINGAPORE TABLE TENNIS!!! :D

Today, the whole school (almost) erupted into cheers when we got into finals. :D:D
There were like 4875640004564.485 (LOL!) people crowding each TV set in the school compound. Some were even sitting on the floor watching the match.

It was crazy.

And well, the girls and I were in the library room, LISTENING to the match from Ruzi's handphone. (think TV Mobile) XD

I bet everyone sitting outside could hear us. >.<

Anyway, in the end, after our Math Mock paper, we managed to catch the last 1 min of the match. :D

And guess what? You've probably never seen AJcians so HIGH and BONDED before. XD

Oh, and someone even initiated a 3-cheers for Singapore team. :)

So, yeah. Olympics ROCKS! :D

updates~*

I met myself.

Mood: Like this

I can't find any answers.

Because I don't want answers that will wake me up from my reverie.
Nor do I want dishonest answers.

1. BASKETBALL MATCH (US VS CHINA)

Can you believe it?
I actually stayed up till 12am just to watch this highly anticipated match. :D

And it was SUPER SUPER exciting. (the first half of the match, at least)

And US won! :D

2. CONNECT SINGAPORE

Long overdue details about this event.

LOL. anyway, our class was situated next to some longkang and I was standing right underneath the MRT tracks + right in front of the zebra crossing. ^^;;

So we were crapping, singing, making 'kallang waves' and straining our ears to listen to 91.3FM from Ruzi's phone.

And all the people who were seated in the cars/buses which drove past us would start staring/smiling/waving/taking photographs. XD

I mean, you would too, if you see a LOOOOOOOOONG stretch of students standing there holding hands, right? XD and it must be a very colourful scene. (considering all the different colours of the different class tees) :)

Well, in the end the event was over without us even reciting the pledge. =__=

So, after that we just walked back to school.

Anyway, it was a fun day with my crazy friends! They couldn't stop making me laugh with all the 'let's make a stationary wave/longitudinal wave/progressive wave' and all the silly things we were talking about. XD

3. PIANO~!

MY PIANO TEACHER IS GETTING MARRIED NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!! *throws confetti

:D:D:D:D:D:D

It really feels as if it were your sister who told you that she's getting married. XD
(Oh my. If it were really my sister, I think I would just faint on the spot.)

You know, that's about the happiest thing I've heard in the entire year. LOL.

And when she broke the news to me, I just couldn't stop smiling. :) (I'm sure Cindy also reacted this way. XD)

Then I don't know what happened but she started telling me
"I watched you grow up..."

and I felt this lump in my throat.

She's my piano teacher since I was... 9 years old?
My first and only piano teacher till now. :)

So obviously, I was EXHILARATED when I heard the news. :D:D:D

Anyway, she would be asking me to play on her wedding. O.O

(well, I'm going to FREAK OUT on that day, I'm telling you. XD)

But still, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!
結婚式のお祝い!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D

4.

HAPPY BELATED 20th BIRTHDAY PEIYUN! :D

Had a really fun time at Jack's Place last Thursday with Wensee, Ruzi, Clarrisa, Peiyun and Sing Hun. :)

I really miss such moments when we can just keep crapping and laughing about things that are not related to studies/school :)

Anyway, like I said, we left the evidence of our friendship on the wooden planks (?) there.
photos with ruzi! :)

I am a...
Providers take it upon themselves to insure the health and welfare of those in their care, but they are also the most sociable of all the Guardians, and thus are the great nurturers of social institutions such as schools, churches, social clubs, and civic groups. Providers are very likely more than ten percent of the population, and this is fortunate for the rest of us, because friendly social service is a key to their nature. Wherever they go, Providers happily give their time and energy to make sure that the needs of others are met, and that social functions are a success.

Highly cooperative themselves, Providers are skilled in maintaining teamwork among their helpers, and are also tireless in their attention to the details of furnishing goods and services. They make excellent chairpersons in charge of dances, banquets, class reunions, charity fund-raisers, and the like. They are without peer as masters of ceremonies, able to speak publicly with ease and confidence. And they are outstanding hosts or hostesses, knowing everyone by name, and seemingly aware of what everyone's been doing. Providers love to entertain, and are always concerned about the needs of their guests, wanting to make sure that all are involved and provided for.

Friendly, outgoing, neighborly - in a word, Providers are gregarious, so much so that they can become restless when isolated from people. They love to talk with others, and will often strike up a conversation with strangers and chat pleasantly about any topic that comes to mind. Friendships matter a great deal to Providers, and their conversations with friends often touch on good times from years past. Family traditions are also sacred to them, and they carefully observe birthdays and anniversaries. In addition, Providers show a delightful fascination with news of their friends and neighbors. If we wish to know what's been going on in the local community, school, or church, they're happy to fill us in on all the details.

Providers are extremely sensitive to the feelings of others, which makes them perhaps the most sympathetic of all the types, but which also leaves them somewhat self-conscious, that is, highly sensitive to what others think of them. Loving and affectionate themselves, they need to be loved in return. In fact, Providers can be crushed by personal criticism, and are happiest when given ample appreciation both for themselves personally and for the tireless service they give to others.

Personally, I feel that the last 2 paragraphs truly describe me. (maybe except the 'restless when isolated' part)

The Guardian type known as the Provider (ESFJ) is sometimes known as the “Santa Claus” personality since they are generally well-liked and notice whenever situations become “naughty or nice.”  They provide for the welfare of many and usually show well-developed social skills.  They are happiest in positions where they need to deal with people. It is not uncommon to find them in health care, as a physician, nurse, or respiratory therapist.  They also can be attracted to the field of education, social service, or religion.  In business they may be a retail owner, receptionist, real estate agent, or sales representative.  The common theme is their service to others.  Says Alice, “As a teen I did hospital volunteer work, but decided I preferred education so got my teaching degree.  I’ve been teaching elementary school for 5 years.  I love helping children to learn.”

So, does it mean my future really lies in the social service sector? Hmm..

6.
Watched 'KOIZORA' last night with my mum and sis.
(I finally bought the DVD)

And my mum cried while watching it. XD

Although it was the 3rd time watching it, I still feel that heart-wrenching pain whenever I watch the ending.

But, the very end of the movie still places a smile on my face. :)

Jas: So, is the movie nice? ^_^
Mum: Yah...but please. Can't we watch some comedy next time??

7. ANSWERS

I think we're all searching for answers to our own questions, aren't we?

The saddest/scariest parts of your life are the parts which remain unexplained, unresolved.

You told me,

"I know I am alone. Maybe it was you who haven't realized that."

Now that I think about it, I guess you're right.

All of us are truly alone.

Because no one understands you the way you understand yourself.
No one truly knows your problems the way you know them.

Reality is saddening.

Whenever I trace back to the past, and whenever your words echo in my ears, I feel as if I would fall apart...

So all I can say now is

"Live happier than before."

and I'll be honest with you that I'm looking forward to a day when we can proudly tell each other that 'maybe life doesn't suck so much afterall'. :)

8.

I feel as if I'm lagging behind everybody else. =/
