It's been soo long since I last blogged a proper entry.

1. Last Saturday was FAMILY DAY!
and friday was such a blast. haha.

after the impossibly exhausting PE session, our class peeps had to stay back to decorate our game stall.
Yes you could've guessed. we were all either half-dead of 3/4-dead.

Anyway, Ruzi, Clarrisa, Wenshi and I went to Chem lab to make crystals!
[which turned out to be a hopeful failure. XD i'll explain later. ]
Peiyun and Junxiu joined us afterwards.

Thanks to Huili who helped us a lot! ^_^ You rock, beauty. (vomits)

Our class peeps stayed till 8 plus 9pm.
You know, when it gets late, my mind goes all WHEEE!
so soon we all started playing with masking tapes.

2. I really love Interact now. :)

It was our turn to help out at Creative Time.
So Pei Rong, Rina and I went to help the disabled to draw and cut out stars.
After helping out with the stars, we started doing our own things.
I was cutting out a big heart and writing messages for one of the disabled there.
As it turned out really awful, I folded it into two and put it aside.

Then when the disabled was about to leave, he was pointing at something.
He couldn't really converse, so we had to guess what he was pointing at.
In the end, it turned out that he wanted to keep the heart I had cut for him.

gosh. I was really really touched.

Then, I was even more touched when Bon Jovi (LOL!) drew and cut a picture of a heart for me.

:) you won't really understand the impact it will have on you until you experience it yourself.

trust me.


Anyway, for Wednesday's session, Pei Rong and I volunteered to go to Daybreak Centre, since we were chosen to go there permanently after the seniors step down.

So I was helping a P.2 boy do his math problems.

3. These days, just like what I have written in my previous entry, are really really 不思議...

Ok, firstly, Peiyun has been going crazy for the past few days.
haha. She would suddenly burst into laughter and it's really contagious.
That MD queen!!! XD

She's the VERY first person to actually find a HORROR film amusing.
haha.

Any horror film, after her narration, becomes more of a comedy. haha.


Then, there's the stupid issue with butts.
haha. the left-right-up-down crap. HAHAHA.
and it all started with wenshi.
Now, cos we're on Circular Motion, we can't stop laughing at the 'Omega' sign. LOLOLOL!!!


Of course, Ruzi has been driving us all mad with her incredible blur-ness. haha.

1. I trimmed my hair.

haha. It's much lighter than before.
And of course, much more neater and thinner.
I feel REFRESHED! XD

I guess it must be because I've been tying up my hair everyday, that's why it's starting to get a little wavy. hmm.. I still prefer my straight hair. haha.

Whenever I enter a salon, I'll just remember the horrible past when I dread entering a salon.
Cos it's either my hair gets chopped up badly OR it remains unchanged (which is not very possible)

But now, cos I'm no longer having short hair (YAY!) I kinda enjoy going to salons. haha.



2. Piano.

I'm starting my Grade 7 exam pieces.
They're crazy, absolutely, completely CRAZY.

For me, I've received all sorts of weird comments about their first impressions of me. haha.

To Cheshire Home ~for the severely disabled~.

Chatted with this man called 'Rainbow', who's wheelchair bound.
He's a really really nice guy. :)
Alright. He saw Pei Rong and I wander around the Home like lost sheep and greeted us.

Did colouring with Rina, Wenyu, Pei Rong and the Indian lady.
It made me smile, just by seeing the Indian lady smile proudly whenever she points at a picture coloured by her.

1. I'm sure the AYU fans all know about the news regarding Eason criticizing Ayu of lip-synching during her Asia Tour Concert in Hong Kong.

A lot of big shots of Hong Kong turned up for Ayu's concert and Eason's one of them.

Oh well.

Right now, ayu fans are extremely furious at Eason and have called for a boycott of his CDs/demanding him to apologize/lawsuit etc etc.

This news is so huge that Eason is expected to publicly apologize soon.


Goodness. The whole community went crazy over the comment.
Even I was stunned at how angry the fans were, especially the JAPANESE fans.
Poor Eason was criticized like mad.


Although I feel that Eason shouldn't have made that kind of comment, still, the fans' reactions were too... over the top.



oh well. Let's see what both parties will do.

I understand that I have too much to be thankful for.

My friends, family, to be alive, to be able to laugh and enjoy myself everyday etc etc...

But I ask myself

"Will I ever be healthy again?"

And no, it's not another quote from 'One Litre of Tears'.

I'm putting that book aside for the time being.

It's really hard to continue reading.

If you get what I mean.

It's about myself.

Have you ever tried being sick for nearly 2 weeks?

I've had fever for what... 4 times?

And constant headache for quite a number of days.

And even this awful toothache in my mouth and I can't even identify which tooth it is.

I figured out that I might have just gotten sinusitis.

Cos the toothache, headache and fever happened the same time after I was drenched from head to toe in rain.

I had a pretty severe case of blocked nose and flu after that.

But it's miserable. It really is.

Being sick just brings my mood down.

I know all my friends have been really nice to me to the point that I feel bad not responding much to them.

I really have nothing to complain about, do I?

I'm sorry, all my friends, for being in such a low mood with no appetite to eat at all.

Sorry to cause any worry. :)

But now, just let me be selfish for once.

Just once only.

Yes, currently, I'm in a '1 litre of tears' mood.
By the way, for ppl who didn't know,

Based on a true story, One Litre of Tears is about the life story Kitou Aya (1962-1988) a girl who had an incurable disease called Spinocerebellar Degeneration Disease at a young age of 15.


Although the girl in the drama - Ikeuchi Aya, lived in the 21st century, her character was based on Kitou Aya's life, how she struggled and fought her disease and how she wrote her deepest thoughts until the last day she could hold a pen.

Before she died, her writings were published including the poems she wrote while she is staying in a school for the disabled. This gave new hopes to people who suffers the same disease as she did and soon Aya received letters of appreciation and thanks from those people.

At the age of 25, she succumbed herself into a sleep where she could no longer feel any pain.

On Thursday, I went Orchard with Serene and after much pondering, decided to buy the '1 litre of tears' novel from Kinokuniya.


And I never regretted my decision, Serene. :)




I've read up till when she's 16 years old.
And I had to hold back my tears when I read this line

'Why did the disease choose me? I don't believe it's because of fate...'

Honestly, this book makes me cry not just because the disease is cruel, but also because of her strength, her courage and how sensible she is. Of course, her family and friends who never gave up on her...

Regarding the '1 litre of tears SP', I have yet to watch it yet.
But i predict it's gonna be another tear-jerking show.

What Aya wrote in her diary when she's 14-16 years old, is not something ordinary teenager will write in their diaries.
Maybe Singaporeans are different from Japanese, but still.


Sometimes, we really must take some time to feel fortunate to be alive.



A group of boys laughed at Aya when she had difficulty walking
and she just kept quiet and held back her tears that were threatening to fall.


Discriminate, ostracize, neglect, ignore...


Everyone must have had those times, hadn't we?
times when we're being teased, times when we feel inferior to others, times when we feel left-out, times when we feel different from others...


We must've been hurt deeply.



But before we can get angry/upset, we must ask ourselves, aren't we the same as them?


Haven't we been going around criticizing others, pointing accusing fingers at others, laughing at people?


Aren't we as evil as the people who hurt us?



We have to hurt others and get hurt in other to grow up.


Is it truly necessary?




Stop it. I want to stop hurting others.
Because I'll end up hurting myself.



Instead of looking at things negatively, why not change a perspective and look at things positively?

About how imperfect we feel about ourselves.

I really wanna knock some sense into that girl. haha.

Although I think I'm a hopeless case (as in I don't think I can ever feel as confident as anyone else, I can't think of anything good about myself), it won't stop me from trying to help my friends find out their good points.




What do I want now?


I want the strength Aya had.
I want the courage to cry in front of others.
I want to live on proudly.
I want to slowly find out my good points (which I doubt I can)
I want to laugh everyday.
I want to cherish my time.
I want to love every part of me.
I want to cherish everyone and everything I'm blessed with.

Read that the committee cried for about an hour over choir.

Despite the fact that I've left NHChoir for nearly a year, I still feel for it...

To Huishan, if u ever come across this blog,

I've been in your shoes before. I might not know what exactly happened, but what I do know is that you're feeling lost, and perhaps losing faith in choir. I've definitely felt that way before... maybe cried even more than you did.

But the most important thing is NEVER LOSE ANY HOPE. There're times when I feel like giving up, when my committee just feel lost and even Mr Lai, Ms Chan or Ms Ong feel as if there's no longer any hope in choir. But after thinking through, I realized that to choose between faith and doubt, I'd rather choose faith. To continue believing that choir CAN do it.

Mr Lai told me before that he's glad that there're ppl out there who really have a passion for choir. And I'm sure there are such people in choir now. And maybe lots and lots of them. Just thinking about the fact that there're such people existing in choir will make every effort worthwhile, won't it?

I'm sure u've been doing a great job as the chairman as choir. And the very fact that you cried over choir means that you feel for it. Huishan, please continue to have faith in yourself as well as in all fellow choir members.

With determination and the burning flame of hope, I'm sure choir can make it in the end. Believe in yourself, believe in choir. =)

1. The whole HAUNTED HOUSE idea! :D:D

Well, apparently, there's a Family Day at AJC coming up soon.
And every class needs to submit a proposal on a food stall and a games stall.

Guess what, some of us decided that a HAUNTED HOUSE will be really cool. ^^
So I got so excited over it, I stayed back after school to discuss with our new CLASS REP, Junxiu (nan... ok nvm). haha.

It's such an awesome awesome idea, NEH?!
Then after that, I went to lib and found wenshi and ruzi there.
So we planned out the entire thing.

The main thing is that we're gonna get EVERY SINGLE PERSON involved.
Be it the ghosts, the music ppl etc etc. haha.
It's gonna be a BLAST. :D:D

it's gonna take a lot of work too.
But well, I'm prepared for the disappointment.
