This is the reason I never wanted a blog. It is just one more thing on my to do list that doesn't get done. One more thing that I don't have time to finish. One more FAILURE in my life. SUCK.
Last week, in a five year olds fit of rage, Grady yelled,
"Don't you know what family home evening is for Mom!?! EATING ICE CREAM!!!".
Can you believe Jason and I thought taking pictures of headstones for find a grave dot com was a perfectly good FHE activity? I fail in too many areas of my life. Why add blogging to the list?

Now that's not the Brit I know! The moment you feel like blogging is a chore, you shouldn't do it anymore. I do it to vent frustrations, and keep some semblance of a journal since I don't write one anywhere else, but I say don't do it unless you enjoy it. You don't have any responsibility to your readership to keep it up, though we do enjoy reading about what you guys are up to.
On another note, we have had many a date driving through backwoods Indiana taking pictures of headstones. We love it! It's a great activity.
I agree with Ryan! Don't feel guilty. It's not a pass or fail world of blogging. We just love hearing what you've been up to, whenever you have time to write.
And we too, have loved taking pictures of headstones. The kids even love it. There are actually websites where people put in requests for locals to take photos of family headstones and email them. It's a really neat way to provide service on your terms, to help with others family history work. Somehow, wandering through peaceful cemeteries pondering the lives of those who have gone before, provides us with a substantial spiritual experiences. :)
You're doing better than you think you are. :)
hahahahaha! That sounds just like something my 5 year old would say about FHE.
The other day I bought my kids a hostess cupcake and I don't know why but it reminded me of you. I remember you took a picture of one that had no cream in the middle once. Crazy stuff like that always seemed to happen. Those were good times. :)
Just remember we still love you, even if you don't blog. I totally understand how you feel!
It seems to me you need to have a blending of desires- Ice Cream and Headstones! I still think the coolest graveyard I've ever been to was the one we went to in Rosylnn, WA do you remember? We could have been in there forever!!
As far as finding time to blog.. I've given up that imaginary thought and I blog when I can and feel satisfied. Look at the big picture is blogging fulfilling your purpose, I mean purpose in life, if not it's really not that important just a sideline hobbie on our eternal journey. Don't beat yourself up over hobbies. Love Ya-P.S. You are acutally have FHE you are NOT a Failure!!!!
Britney Britney Britney you should not ever consider blogging a failure! You are such an talented person with so many gifts that you share with so many other people. You are a wonderful Mom and I know that your kids love you. Thank you for always being ready to share with me or help me in any way. I love you tons and I think you are not a failure in anything!
Grady is right! Family Home Evening IS all about the treat! Duh!
