A Fall Wedding

When we left Utah after our mega-trip last December/January, we realized that we had no set plans for our return.  "It will be for a wedding or a funeral" we supposed, and we were right!  Thankfully it was a wedding that brought us back home in October.  Jason's sister Michelle got married!
We were thrilled to get to be with her on her wedding day.  She was a beautiful bride.
This is the one picture I've got of the whole Morales family all together, albeit looking somewhere else.  We sure have grown since I joined the family in 2004.

Emma....
That's better.  Leah...
There they both are!
My little flower girls were very excited about their big responsibility.
And my boys were happy to eat cookies and climb rocks and play with sticks while the wedding party took pictures.
The venue they chose to get married in was the same one that my brother Jared and his wife Jen got married in almost exactly two years earlier!  We had our brand new baby Noah at that time, so we couldn't attend his wedding, but it made this wedding even more special for me.  And it was beautiful!
The ceremony was simple and beautiful and focused on the importance of marriage, family, love, and faith.  It was sweet, and short enough that I didn't even have to pull out the fruit snacks.
After the ceremony we had so much fun at the reception- visiting with family, eating tasty food and dancing the night away!
Leah especially loved the dancing, and told everyone who asked her about the wedding all about how much fun she had dancing.
Emma let loose on the dance floor too- we have our fair share of dance parties at home, and she had no problems showing off her moves.
I had many kind people comment on how well-behaved, happy and sweet our kids are.  And they were right!  I was proud of each of them and how well they did on such a long day, even when they were freezing cold!

Michelle and Alex had the brilliant idea of setting up a coloring corner for the kids, and the kids sat there happily coloring for a large part of the day and night.

It was wonderful to see Michelle and Alex happy and in love- and everything went so smoothly on their wedding day!  We had a few bumps on the way to our wedding- the cake plans changed just a few weeks before the big day, my hair stylist never showed up to our early morning appointment on the day of the wedding (resulting in me calling Jason in tears at 6:00 in the morning, making him wonder if I'd changed my mind!), then because she never showed up I had to scramble to figure out something to do with my hair and I was late to the temple (resulting in people at the temple asking Jason if I had changed my mind.  My poor husband-to-be!).  It's a good thing our marriage has been smooth-sailing ever since that rocky start!
Not entirely, but life as a married couple sure has been grand.  We're so excited to see another of our sweet siblings start that same joyous journey!
