Places We Go

 Hello  everyone :)
We've had another busy week here! We attempted a local walk following instructions in a local magazine. It was a lovely walk but they really should have said that there were places dogs couldn't navigate and the steep hills were more like mountains lol! It should have been a 2 hour walk but we managed it in.....6hours lol!
The children had fun which was the main thing, they learnt about stream trains, geology, nature and how to poke a stick in cow pats lol!

This weeks challenge on the Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe blog is ...

Time To Go!

We would like you to share projects with a travel theme.
Our lovely sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs who have kindly donated 4 images for one randomly selected winner.

So with all the days out we do I thought it would be nice to have a journal to record them in.
So far all I've managed is the front cover lol! It's hard to craft when you are out and about!

I have used papers from last month C4E Page kit, this will be available to buy from the store soon.
The papers are Teresa Collins Stationary Noted.

The image is Great Britain Honey from Sassy Studio. Painted (badly) with Distress inks.

I've added Washi tape & Studio Calico wood veneer shapes and a little stickles to glam it up.

The title got a coat of Glossy Accents to make it pop.
There is lots more gorgeous inspiration from the C4E DT girls and entry to the challenge can be found HERE.

Have a lovely weekend, thanks for stopping by!
Hugs

The Donkey Ride

 Hello everyone :)
How is your summer going? We have had a wet week here but we did manage two star gazing nights, a bike ride, a trip to the park and a trip to town in amongst the usual work commitments and dodging the rain lol!

I have a layout to share today :) It's for this weeks Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe challenge.
The challenge this week is SUMMER FUN! We would like you to share your summer themed projects with us.
For me Summer means beach, and we have plenty of beach here in Weston!
We also have Donkeys too!

So what better way to say summer than a layout about a Donkey ride on the beach.
The photos are from when my sister and I were very young.

The DP's are Tim Holtz and the sketch was from a Speed Scrap challenge on UK Scrappers.

I'm not sure what the reasoning behind the washers was lol!
For more gorgeous inspiration from the fabulous DT girls and all the challenge details head over HERE.
I'm teaching this Sunday at the C4E monthly workshops held at Banwell, near Weston. We will be playing with Glue Guns and Ephemera this month! More details HERE.
Thanks for stopping by have a great weekend!

Corrosion

Hello everyone :)
I hope you are having a lovely weekend?
We have been a bit busy here which is why I'm late with my DT project for the Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe challenge!

This week we have a colour recipe for you to play with....

Corrosion

We would like you to use any combination of 2 or more of these gorgeous colours.
The photo is a close up of my shed!!

This weeks prize is kindly donated by Floppy Latte designs, one randomly selected winner will receive a $6 gift certificate.

My project this week is 2 wall plaques.
I have been preparing samples for a class I'm teaching next weekend, Glue Gun Art and these are two examples.

I have used diecut shapes, glue gun, Dylusions ink sprays, Distress reinkers, beads, plasterboard tape, Gesso and gold paint.

The inks bled a bit around the leaves, but I quite like the messy look lol!
The base of the plaques are cut from an old corrugated box painted with Gesso before adding all the pieces and inks.
Here are a few close ups ...

Along with these I've made some interesting ATC's and backgrounds, it was lots of messy fun.
I'll pop back with more details about next weeks classes :)
In the mean time you can join us for this weeks challenge and see the gorgeous DT inspiration
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, thanks for stopping by
hugs
