Travel | Marsha Farris

Hey friends!  Marsha here today sharing a layout in my travel album.  I used the new Ready Set Go TN Decorative Page cut file that just released yesterday at The Cut Shoppe.

I was inspired by this cut file to create a layout for my New York City travel album.  The Pink Paislee Horizon collection, by Paige Evans, was perfect to pair with this cut file.

To begin my spread, I cut out the cut file using white cardstock.  I backed each letter with a patterned paper from the collection and backed the top portion of the file with a striped paper from my stash.  To complete the title, I used some pale pink puffy stickers.  I then added a few stickers to embellish the page and added some machine stitching.

For the right side of the spread, I chose a photo from our NYC trip- our first time taking the Subway.  I trimmed some patterned papers and adhered them to the edge of the page, adding some machine stitching for interest and texture.  I layered some ephemera pieces and stickers around the photo to embellish this area.

I typed my journaling, trimmed it into strips, and adhered it to the layout.  I added the date using my favorite Heidi Swapp roller date stamp.

My layout came together so quickly using this cut file!

Thank you so much for joining me today!  I hope you will check out this cut file and the other TN Decorative Page cut files available at The Cut Shoppe!

Discover | Kelly Janes

Hey friends! Kelly back today with a new layout using the Summer Vibes Cut File!

I recently took a trip to Los Angeles and I remembered how much I love palm trees. After I snapped this picture I text my husband (who was still home in Indiana) and told him we need to live where the palm trees grow. I knew I wanted to scrapbook this photo using the Summer Vibes Cut File.

I cut the palm trees using two patterned papers from the Pink Paislee Paige Evans Horizon Collection. I added machine stitching to each of the palm trees. I love the added texture stitching brings to a layout! I positioned the palm trees on the right and left of the layout with the photo in the bottom center.

Before adhering anything to the white cardstock background, I added a sunburst using an older stencil and a combo of modeling paste and yellow acrylic paint. I then adhered everything down to the background and added a few embellishments around the photo.

Thanks so much for spending part of your day with me, and remember to visit The Cut Shoppe Store to check out all of the cut files!
