Pumpkin Carving

As a tradition in our house the Monday before Halloween we always carve pumpkins, and this year was no exception. Keagan and I carved one and David and Riley carved the other. The kids love touching the "guts" inside the pumpkin, but me, not so much.

Here they are finished and ready for Halloween!

In case you were wondering the one on the left is David and Riley's Bat. He blamed the bat not turning out on the fact that I picked out a retarded pumpkin, say what you will, I think my pumpkin had personality. Keagan's pumpkin turned out cute I thought, no problems there, which again tells me that David's pumpkin was a user error problem!

Keagan had been waiting all day, so when Daddy got home she turned on the charm.

Riley Always has a look like he is about to get into trouble, maybe I should be worried :-) P.S. That is oreo on his face, not lipstick!

I think the bat looks good. Megan wants to do a bat in her pumpkin this year. We can't carve our pumpkins until the night or two before Halloween this year because there is no way they would last through the week with this HEAT!

Oreo . . . sure Barb . . . sure!

Cute pumpkins! I like Dave's bat! The girls pumpkins have all gone moldy already - but we are carving the "BIG" one tonight!
