This is for all the stolen yard signs!

So with all the elections/campaigning going on you find cartoons in the paper that are pretty funny. This one to me takes the cake. I stole it from some random persons blog (my apologies to whoever you are) Now we know who are stealing are yard signs!

Last days here we come! (p.S. Prop 102 is prop 8 in CA)

Trunk or Treat

So... the annual Trunk or Treat was tonight, so of course we packed up the kiddies and headed over to the church. I was WAY proud of our ward's turn out. I think everyone was there, it was nice to mingle and socialize. David had worked all afternoon on this year's decorations for our trunk, but it never quite worked out... so instead, we plugged in the DVD players, and threw in the bean bags and called it good.

We spent an hour curling Keagan's hair. She went as a snow princess, which works out perfectly because the costume is SUPER warm!

Riley kept his costume on for a whoppin 10 seconds, pretty much just long enough to take the picture. (He was supposed to be Woody)

Pumpkin Carving

As a tradition in our house the Monday before Halloween we always carve pumpkins, and this year was no exception. Keagan and I carved one and David and Riley carved the other. The kids love touching the "guts" inside the pumpkin, but me, not so much.

Here they are finished and ready for Halloween!

In case you were wondering the one on the left is David and Riley's Bat. He blamed the bat not turning out on the fact that I picked out a retarded pumpkin, say what you will, I think my pumpkin had personality. Keagan's pumpkin turned out cute I thought, no problems there, which again tells me that David's pumpkin was a user error problem!

Keagan had been waiting all day, so when Daddy got home she turned on the charm.

Riley Always has a look like he is about to get into trouble, maybe I should be worried :-) P.S. That is oreo on his face, not lipstick!

As Promised

So... back tracking a little, I want to tell you about my week (last week that is). So first of the many stories:

"Lunch"
I was invited to a lunch for a lady that I visit teach, and since anything out of the house sounded better than staying home I went, with Riley in tow. When I got there, camera crews were filming everything including the floor. I thought is was a bit strange, (Oh... for those of you in-towners, we were eating at Salsa Bravo) they told us they were tapping for a TV show on the food network called, "Dinner's, Drive-n's and Dives" I happen to love that show, so I was excited, but at the time that they decided to pan the restaurant I was SO embarrassed to see that Riley had flipped over the chip basket and was now coloring on the bottom with their complimentary crayons, all while sticking my straw into the nice little bowl of salsa. YUM! Hopefully that part won't be apart of the program, it's set to air either this week or next. Monday nights at 9pm, I THINK??

"Painting the barn"
Also last week I have been evaluating my morning schedule, so many days I try to get up and get my shower and hair done before David and Keagan have left for school (It's safer that way, who knows what Riley would get into while I was in the shower). I had been noticing I can shower and get my hair done in about 25 minutes, but my make up regiment takes a little longer.... well this week I found out why...

No, that is not lip gloss, it's concealer!
My friend Tyla always told me, "when the barn needs paintin', you paint it!" It's just harder to do when you have to fight your two year old for the paint brush!

"Bunch of Bliss"
So I have really been hoping to find a friend here that gets my odd sense of humor, my need to forget half my life all the time, and someone that I felt just at home with and I think I have found her! Kristy is her name, AKA "My non Italian sister" We are identical in so many areas, it's nice. And are kids are the same ages and are husbands are so much alike, it's almost scary. It's really a win for the whole family. And while I still miss and Love my friends from Kingman, it's nice to have someone come over on your stressful days and help out. So I can officially say my life is a bunch of Bliss, Kristy Bliss that is!

So that and getting craft projects ready for our ward craft day was my week, last week. Thanks for bearing with me while I didn't blog for days on end. Hopefully this week will go a little smoother, and YES Halloween pictures will be posted soon. Our ward is having a trunk or treat on Wednesday, and the kids are trick or treating on Friday, so the kids, I am sure will be tapped out and probably grounds for some funny photo opps!

Too tired...sorry

I know I promised this fabulous blog today, but I am just too tired. So look tomorrow or maybe the next day, just depending on when I can move my body again. The good news is craft day is done. I feel bad because our ward scheduled the building from 8-3 then a day ago we got a phone call saying there will be a funeral at 3 and they would like us to be out by 2. No problem, right? We can be flexible, but today when we showed up they told us no later than 1:15! WHAT! Are you kidding me, so I feel so bad for all of those who had to take home 1/2 completed projects and it will now be my mission to help people finish those.

Where did Barb go?

So... many of you have asked, "Where is Barb?" Well, I have been knee deep in getting all the crafts you see on my blog together and ready for one HUGE craft day tomorrow in our ward. So tomorrow afternoon after I pass out for a few hours I promise to blog and update on our semi-hectic lives. Thanks for being patient! Here are some fun things I plan on blogging about:

1. Eating at a restaurant this week that was filming for the show "Dinners, Drive-Ins and Dives" with Guy Fireti

2. Riley's need to destroy all my makeup

3. Finding a new fabulous friend here in Flagstaff (Hallelujah!)

4. David winning a golf tournament

5. Being tired of not sleeping, yet not minding because I am so close to having little madi!

6. You will have to read tomorrow to find out the rest!

"16, feels like 7"

I checked our weather yesterday morning and this is what it said, 16 but feels like 7! Are you kidding me? We are just barely into October, I guess the hope for a pleasant Halloween is out the window. I have been freezing, and for 8 months pregnant that is saying A LOT!

We lit a fire for the first time this weekend. I would love to show you pictures of the kids sitting and staring, but I can't get my camera to behave! Bad camera!

Hope you all are much warmer than we are, and hopefully I can get some pics up soon.

So, being that I am 7 almost 8 months pregnant anything more than getting dressed is a HUGE accomplishment! Although I must say today I actually earned my keep! Here is the list of all I was able to complete!

1. Showered, dressed with hair and makeup before 8 am(i know right!)
2. Drove a friend to work
3. Went to Home Depot and ACE hardware
4. Made three, that's right 3 new crafts for a super Saturday I am doing in a few weeks (I will post pics tommorrow)
5. 6 loads of laundry, they aren't quite folded or put away yet, but the fact that i did them is HUGE!
6. Made cookies, not just any cookies, but sugar cookies. and yes, they are frosted and decorated!
7. Had Keagan's little friend Kallia over to play and I made them popcorn and forts!
8. cleaned up from a day of Riley's messes
9. Made dinner and did the dishes!

Now I am going to go pass out, but at least I was productive.... oh.. i just remembered all the clean and unfolded clothes are on my bed that has no sheets ( i washed them) so looks like I have a little more to do before I call it quits!

All on a Saturday!

So I am more proud of my Hubby everyday! Today we went to an award ceremony honoring his ability to get over a 3.5 for over 30 consecutive credit hours. I don't even know how that is possible with his crazy life, his crazy kids and his pregnant and emotional wife! What a man! I can't even spell, and he is getting 100 percent on his Organic Chemistry tests, way to go Beez!.

This is David being called up on the stage to recieve his "Gift" (It was a zip drive with NAU acheivement printed on it) Our camera was having a hard time, the lighting was poor and I am sure the operator could have done better :-)

David sat with us instead of the student section (Bless his heart) he was the only student there with young kids, so he decided to help me out until he was called to the stage
After we got home we headed to the valley to celebrate my Dad's birthday. We had dinner with him, his girlfriend Rosie (who is a FABULOUS cook) my brother Matt and his family and Rosie's son Dustin. It was a VERY enjoyable evening, I was glad to spend the time with my Dad!

Grandpa attempts to open presents with all the grandkids on his lap, what you can't see is that Riley pretty much had one completely unwrapped before my Dad had a chance to get to it. Kids love paper!

My brother Matt and his Wife Kim, she is pregnant and they just found out they are having girl # 3!

Keagan and her cousin Megan

So now all there is left to do this weekend is catch the last two sessions of conference! Whew! And maybe a nap will be necessary.
