BOSTON STRONG!!

We will NEVER forget the tragic events that unfolded during the Boston Marathon, one year ago today.

One Year Anniversary ~ April 15, 2014

Proud to be - "Boston Strong"

Below is a card I created using my "Boston Strong" stamp.  This stamp was inspired and created by Hero Arts in conjunction with my LSS "Absolutely Everything", to help raise money for
"The One Fund".   It us currently available again for a brief time and the supply is limited.   If you would like to purchase one, you can contact the store for more details.   The link above will take you to AE's Facebook page, which has the contact information.

It was another way for us to share our proud New England Spirit.   I am very proud to have one of my own and was very grateful to Absolutely Everything and Hero Arts for working together to create this wonderful stamp!

Memories.....

One of the most poignant things about this horrific crime (for me) was the 'Strength' I saw in the people of Boston and all of New England, during and after the bombings! I take my hat off to everyone who reached out to help, and I'm so impressed with Hero Arts and your LSS for creating this stamp!

I love your bold design and color combo on this card, Lisa! It speaks to how proud you are of everyone in your 'little corner of the world'...and you should be!

Thank you so, very much for your sweet comments in my Flickr gallery...it really warms my heart to know that you consider me a dear friend, as the feeling is mutual! My thoughts and prayers are with Lauryn, and will be for a long time to come! With you in her corner, how can she miss...you did an amazing job on the Card Drive/Blog Hop, Lisa!!! Hugs to you ♥

I say, "You Go Girl!!!" I think it's wonderful for you to remember. I do and I still get a really sad feeling when I think of it. What I really respect is all of the Bostonians and the others who were there that were injured that have made a pact to get back to life and not let what happened conquer their spirits!! Big hugs to you, Lisa! and you city too! I am from Reno, NV, now in NC to be near grand children. I went to the University of San Diego for a semester and it is pretty there.

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
